Create a new document like you would normally when using the Romanian characters, then copy and paste what you need to translate over and save. it could be a UNICODE issue.

In wordpad, try saving the file as a Unicode .txt file. (File, Save As..., Save As Type).

10x it was the unicode, i solve it now :D
O have the same problem - I try to paste phrases into Excel from .txt file saved as Unicode (or clicking the right button on the mouse and selecting "paste special" as Unicode), and when I convert an excel file into blf file, and when I start the game, I still can see some funny signs instead of Polish ones... Any other ideas?
PS: I'm working on translation without Polish signs - Simon, would you accept it? It is of course understandable very well, of course it's not the same, but I think that for many, many people it would be helpful.

@Thor - look at my post in this thread:

This applies for Romanian characters too.
So, what do you suggest? I've already translated most of the files into Polish without characteristic signs of this language. Should I stop or should I continue since lack of Polish signs is not a problem that could be really annoying? Or should I continue and when the right time comes I might edit the translation and then add the Polish signs? I'm affraid that after Christmas period I won't have a time to work as hard as now on the translation...

I suggest you to continue your work without the special characters.
It isn't a big deal in Polish. :)

Yes, for now try to translate without Polish characters. I'm looking into the Unicode issue.
