I have a question: There's a line (104) that says $playername BACKS THE BOSS
Do you mean "back" as some kind of support or something like that? I have plenty of different suggestion in a vocabulary book

Blistering means a very fast shot.

Firm means a strong shot.

Looping means the ball goes high and comes back down.

Net-busting means the ball nearly breaks the goal net.

Everything is correct except...

Steel Orange is just a label for the black and orange interface colour setting. You can change this to Orange/Black if you like.

Headed shot - means a header towards goal.

Each Way is a term for betting on horses. This is when you get a prize if the horse comes 1st, 2nd or 3rd. Sometimes called a Place bet.

$shottype will be replaced by a word such as powerful or curling or long-range to describe the kick. Any words with a $ in front should not be changed though as they are changed by the program. You knew that though, right? :eh:

Anti-Alias = ?
Leg = Like 1st leg in a 2 leg meeting? Or leg like the physical leg above the foot?
Level = In which context?
Shorn = Sounds like some kind of hair cut
Tank = An army tank or what?

Anti-Alias = It's a graphics card option. It doesn't actually get used in the game so you can just use the English version.

You know what is your problem? That for you everything looks too easy. Of course, we do have dictionaries, and it's not a problem to find even 5 equivalents for a one word, but the problem is to find a context in which a particular word should be used. "Ostentacja" is not a word that would replace Flamboyance, since it is something we call when somebody do something in a way which everyone could see/notice that (and it has a rather negative connotation and most people wouldn't understand it) - that's why I look for more common word but If I won't find any I will use this you suggested. I think the most appropriate use of the word is shown in this sentence "Oscar Wilde's wit and flamboyance lived on when he died on Nov. 30, 1900, penniless and disgraced." And I'm not the only person who had a problem with this word.
And I know what "tap" means, but what I need is a context! We have few verbs that can be used instead of tap, there are also nouns which means "tap". You could simply write that it concerned a keyboard and everything would have been clear. Maybe you have a bad day or maybe you simply tried to offend me, but never mind... Anyway, please don't tell me about understanding the words and their use since right now I've translated most of the files and so far it looks and fits great! :)

Basically, we don't have a Polish equivalent for the whole "frame" of the goal - we divide the goal into its three parts, "symphysis" (the point where a goalpost and crossbar connects), crossbar and goalpost. Again, I need a context - maybe it is visible in manager mode? (I've never been a manager in NSS4 so I don't know whether we can see a commented situation or not?) - may I replace it with any of the three parts of the goal and will people be able see whether used part matches to what happens on the pitch? Because if it is needed only for a commentary I think there shouldn't be a big difference if I replace it with Polish crossbar or a post?

Trail-Blazing means it was a good, hard and fast shot. Like a rocket!
Amount - Refers to how much money you receive from your sponsors.
Woodwork - Anything will do, such as goal, frame, post. It's not crucial that it be exactly right.
$girlfriend gets replaced by "girlfirend" or "wife" depending on the status of your relationship. The game never uses a girls name.

Thanks for the answers. There is one thing that annoys me - SAVE. In csv file there is only one SAVE, while in the game it is used twice - for saving the file and for saving money. In Polish these are two different words and I'll have to think hard to create a word suitable for those two meanings (however surely it will look strangely) :doh:

I think the "Save" tag only refers to saving your game data. The context of all other uses of save should be clear.

Well, I've checked it. "Save" is displayed next to the name of the file we want ot save and under expenses bar :P I will use "Zachowaj", it means something like "keep" and will work fine.

:lol: Victoria Beckham's pet name for David is "Golden Balls". Basically she is referring to his private parts and suggesting that they are made out of gold.

In the UK and US, if someone is said to "have balls" or "balls of steel" it means that they are brave or maybe even arrogant.

In the incident your girlfriend would like you to be more brave/confident/arrogant (I can't remember the specific incident) so she wishes you had bronze balls at least. (Bronze being less impressive than Silver or Gold).

I'm not Si, but I can tell you this is possible, but you must remember that the phenomena of declension doesn't exist in this case [Artur's wife -> Wife of Artur, not (like in Polish) Żona Artura]. Sometimes I used tricks like $playernamefull and his $girlfriend, or simply instead of girlfriend I used $playernamefull with his partner Artur ze swoją partnerką]. You don't have to keep $playernamefull or $girlfriend in the sentence, you may remove girlfriend and write something else that is the same as partner (but no wife nor girlfriend, since it's up to you if you're married or not) without some legal distinction (dunno, "better half", "second half", "the chosen one", or other idioms you have in your language).

You can change the order of words. The game will simply replace $girlfriend with the translated word and $playername with your name, it doesn't matter where they appear in the sentence.
