how can we add our stadiums to game

Nilientes

i think we should build them in some 3d modeler, convert them to b3d and name them after the the id found in the database.

the questions for me: how to define the seats, so that the spectators are placed correct.

Anyone know of any converter that will conert to .b3d?

I'm looking for one at the moment but if anyone finds one just say it.:)

Nilientes

milkshape 3d will do it

there also must be some .x to .b3d converter and a .x exporter is very common.

i dont know if there are export plugins for b3d in the big (cinema, 3ds, blender) programs.

if you got stadiums in some format i think you have to look first if it fits to the NSS4 measures

Are there people out there working on stadiums for the game?

I really hope so as something I loved about NSS3 was moving clubs and playing in different surroundings. All adds to the immersion and realism of the game. Especially when you move from a small club to a bigger club, and a bigger arena to display your skills.

I would love to have a go but this sort of thing isn't really my forte

Loving the game, by the way. Just waiting for my registration key to be emailed through

I'm sure this is something that will develop in time, though much like yourself, it's not really something I can claim to have any knowledge of!

It is possible to create new stadiums but it is not easy. The tricky part is getting the fans in the right place. I will be drawing up some guidelines soon so people can try it if they feel brave. :)

If you could provide some guidelines I might have a go at replicating Fortress Portman Road! Although it may never see the light of day.

Thanks

Eagle,

Would like to see your attempt at making a stadium for the game. Could you repost a working link? Have you added it to your NSS4? Does it work?

I'm still hoping Si will supply a guide of some sort and I'll have a go at it.

What stadium is it? Or is it your own original design. Looks a little like White Hart Lane to me.

This is what I know so far. I did not make the stadium in the game, but this is what I know.

For stadiums, you need to create two different Sketchup files. They must be UNTEXTURED.

One file is the stadium itself. The second file is the fan file. No part of the fan file should be in the stadium file. No part of the stadium file should be in the fan file. The fan file should still overlap the stadium file - simply create six foot high rows where the seats should be, and copy and paste ad nauseaum.

The easiest way to do this is to copy your stadium file, group the entire stadium, create the fans (6 feet high I use), and delete the grouped stadium leaving just the fans.

Then, and these are the steps I have not yet done, you convert to b3d using a conversion program. Then, you use a different piece of software to texture the stadium, and then you use FragMotion to apply the fan texture to the fans file (which you also convert).

Then you save all your textures to a folder, put it in your Stadiums folder, and change the .ini file to point to that stadium (multiple stadiums are not yet supported in NSS4 as only one has been created for it).

hi guys
just wanted to tell you that I am on the cusp of creating wembely stadium (without fans) for NSS4. Unfortunately, as I do not have the profesional version of Sketchup I am finding it difficult to conver my sketchup file to .b3d.
Any suggestions of a good converter, or any offers to finish what I have started? I was wondering what you used, Si?
Cheers.

But I didn't create the game stadium in Sketchup. Someone created it in 3DMax.

Ok I have pretty much finished my stadium, but I have a few questions...
Does it matter if I have fans/advertising hoardings etc.
How do the players know where to run out of at the start of a game
how do I make NSS play with my new stadium
does my stadium have to have texture
what should the dimensions of my stadium be
there are probbably more but these are enough for now
any help would be apreciated
cheers

Hi. I was a stad-maker for some famous football sims, and now I'd wanted to try my forces here.

Few questions: 1) The whole structure of nss4 stad?
2) Why there are several identical textures with different format?
3) I should to create meshes or surfaces?

I'v done it!!! yeap.
I've exported existing model, erased roof, added something, and importeng in game....and it works!
Now I'll try something from the beginning....

Any questions?)))) I've done it fellows. Well...I think it's time to start making multi-stadiums patching! Don't look at the quality of stad...it is just a temprory) For test)

Hanniball
06-25-2010, 06:18 PM
well, I've met some problems. Game crashes again, there are some "tricky points" that I should to find, to make the stability. The main problem - I don't know were are they...Or I made something wrong in the model, or in textures, or in conversion of Old Trafford. Now I'm gonna to make some tests, such as put in game the "light version" of model and etc...

Thanks for good words.
I've found a problem. That was my not straight hands)))))))
But seriously the most big problem, the auto-transparency of stad parts, when ball is near, because of the roof I can' see the box when ball isn't there...Everyone knows, are there some settings in ini to solve this trouble?
