yes I play too but not in any divisions, due to my infancy I play smth called friend-serie or etc...but anyone heard of floorball, soon I will play on regional club(Alastaro as you can see my location :D ) which plays in 4th division and floorball is very popular in Finland... oh and I'm mitfielder and if needed I can play striker as well
Now may be a good time to reveal the interest Wycombe Wanderers took in me back in '96... though I thought that owing to my knee problems, a college education would provide a good fall-back. As it was, college kinda scuppered any thoughts of even semi-pro
in which league was Wycombe in this year??

good old days. By the way I played Left Midfield :D
in which league was Wycombe in this year??Division Two, which was the third level then.

Played with youth teams in the USA, I quit at 17 after I caught the ball in the penalty box (I wasn't playing keeper that game unfortunately) and got kicked in the balls with the ball in the same game. We lost, 2-1, after they converted the penalty I forced. Unless you're really good, there's not much future in youth sports.
That was a while back but I can see it like yesterday... damn.

Post pix please!
Me? Never anything more than the school team. :(
Although i could have be a contender were it not for one moment at 10 years old when i was lazy (and afraid of the big boys) and chose not to go training with the local team. All my mates did and went on to do quite well. I just didn't have the stones.
Still, that moment sowed the seed of NSS. :)

I attended a trial at Queen's University Belfast. I had to quit though as they specifically needed people available at weekends and I couldn't afford to give up my part time job.
Also - I probably wasn't much good. I'm also a goalkeeper, but only 5'8". I certainly have the mental capacity (or lack thereof) the position requires. And I'm quite adept in one-on-one situations. It's just that I'm incredibly unfit - in a way I regret not playing gaelic football when I was younger. Maybe then I wouldn't have chest pains right now. Still, I'm going back to university (if the application is successful, which I think it will be) so I ought to get into some shape and try out again.
My younger brother used to play for a Newry Town youth side, but that got disbanded. My girlfriend's brother was apparently being scouted by a number of German Regionalliga clubs which is a bit more impressive.

Blimey, so many goalies. Aren't all goalies supposed to be a bit mad?

na.. they now have the opportunity to see what'd happen if they'd be attacker/midfielder/defender :P
I played in goal for the amazon.co.uk team, and I'm only 5'8" too... I think again the mental side of things brought me to the fore
Didn't help when I got once lobbed from about 10 yards out though...

I used to be a class goalkeeper. My career was stopped, however, before it had begun. For my school team (I never joined a local team), in year 5, when I was 10, I was told I was to be played in goal for the whole season because of impressive performances in friendlies. An hour before kickoff of the cup-tie, a guy who played the whole of the season before as winger volunteered to go in. I was dropped when I thought I was going to have a great time. I never got in the team again and quit trying really, because I was just so damn upset at the time. I liked the footy coach, but I sometimes want to murder him. :(

I put my finger in a blender once to see what it would feel like.
So yes, yes. Absolutely.
Hehe, I remember when I was 7 and was playing in a junior team. I was extremely poor with the ball (I could bounce it twice), so I usually just wandered around the pitch when I got there. Then I joined the team of one year older's cause I couldn't remember what year I was born :D I made it rarely to the pitch and my career ended during one game when I was the bench-warmer. We were full of energy and started to run around the pitch and in the bushes and I stepped on a hornet's nest which was on the ground for some reason. I think I got stung a zillion times.
I haven't played in a club nor liked the bees ever since ;)

Ouch! I guess that's one way to tame the opposition. Hornets nests on the pitch!

I play for a local team called FC Hattrick. We all have a team on hattrick.org and thought it would be fun to have a team in real life aswell. I mostly play left back (because Im leftfooted). Otherwise I play any position, just as long as I get to play :)
Check our homepage. www.fchattrick.dk . English translation is on the way :)

I used to play for a Saturday & Sunday team which was founded by myself and 4 friends.
I mainly played in central defence but have also played right back, right wing and up front!
After going up last season into the next division I had to retire (at 25!) as my knees are knackered.

I think I'm going to play again on a friendly team next fall so I have to get in shape. Can't play during the summers, too damn hot (100-110 degrees fahrenheit (37-43C) is normal, reached 49C/120F last summer a couple times I think).
Gotta start training!

hey hey as i am only 15 i havent played for a pro team but wen i was 14 i played for a local team called Pengam FC we won the welsh Fottball association cup and were the best team in wales for our age since den the team has didsbanded a shame really but i have followed my other passion which as a welsh man is rugby i am playing at a high standard of that for a regional side. WEYYYYYYY
hEY its me again i forgot to say i play up front or as a second striker and wen i turn 16 i hope to play for the local semi-professional team as i have been offered to train with them i must be doing summthing rite lol
I'm still 12 years old, so I'm just playing as keeper or left back/wing on a local team. Gotta take a break now though, because of injuries in both knees... :wall:

Wow ... so many goalies ... i'm almost an ex-n°1 ... still playing some times in an amateur 7 a side league (1st division out of 4 but nearly at the bottom )
my wife complaines everytime i go so i got a bit fed up since i can easily face the fact that most of the people i'm playing against could almost be my or at least my sister's kids).
for Welshwill : i'm an ex rugger and played in italian serie B (it was called so those days) usually as winger or 2nd centre but the last 2 years i played as flanker (much more fun!)

Well, iI never played in a real fotball team, I only play for my schools team, in a local league for high schools, sometimes I start as a defensive striker or other times, I stay on the bench only to come in in the about 70th minute, I dont have much stamina. But NSS3 gives me the chance to be the first choice striker, have full stamina, I am much better in NSS than in real life.

i know very good what you mean too :). but lucky i'm this player which is injurying sometimes opponents too- beatiful jump to ball with knee... :)
but i cant count how much injuries i had... the ,,best" of them are:
1. cut leg on something about 15cm
2. opponent landed on my back by two feet with metal football boots... you must believe me- something fantastic :). but referee said that it was ,,unlucky accident"...

my dear pals last night i played the 2nd half of an amateur league game  , conceded "only" 2 goals  and got the MOM (for my side!)
we lost 7-1 (1st half 5-0) :wall: and most likely get relegated to 2nd division (only few games to go but the gap is now 5 points).
nevertheless i'm an happy man :D since my last game was back months ago and was disastrous.
even my whife admitted that it has been a boost in morale (increase of confidence ... ... looks like i'm a new star :liar: )

I'm absolutely rubbish at football! Never even got close to the school team! I liked playing, but no one wanted me on their team  so I soon gave up.
