Hi for all,
I'm creating an editor to edit teams, stadium, competitions ecc.ecc. for those who did not want to use sqlitebrowser.
for now you can edit team, nickname, ShortName and 6lettername.
see you later with first version..

nice job :D , waiting ;D .
Dunno why, there's already an editor existing and I'll be working on the database with the help of a small group of editors very shortly, but if you guys wanna mess up competitions and break your own dbs, that's fine by me :)
If it's just the small things you want to change, why not just advise here?

Where might one find this editor?
Marc Laird (plays for Millwall) is, for some reason, a mid-height black guy on my game, in reality he is a tall and skinny white dude, I think the same is true for Alan Dunne aswell.

The DB editor is not released to public as far as I know. We have an editor group for each leauge and country ;)

Why is it not being released? NSS3 had an editor.

How can I make editor?
Why is it not being released? NSS3 had an editor.Probably because it's amazingly easy for someone to go in and screw up the database, causing the game to fail. We don't really want to become a support forum for wannabe editors and one of the easiest ways to do this is to not release it.
How can I make editor?
That said.. it looks like some people have sussed it's just an SQLite database and therefore tools to edit it can be found / constructed.
All I'm going to say really is.. you guys shouldn't need an editor, just post feedback about stuff you think that could be improved on a decent patch site, once it appears.

Hi,
excuse me JJU..
but because you think that editor db fail and crash the game?
I can only tell you that I am a programmer and manage critical so that it can have a program like this. "That said" will create the editor for me, because it was not appreciated the commitment.
Certainly not release him or release him will not change my life, because it was developed just for NNS4 passion (purchased licensed).
thanks Luca.
Yeah okay, whatever. The editor has now been released via azazel's fansite so discussion over.

it seems he has  I've had the benefit of some of JJUs knowledge of the editor but part of the agreement with him was to provide support on my fansite, not on the official one. Eagle, post some more about what you changed there and I'll see if we can work it out :)

You know what? I have a critical suggestion for those wanting to edit their DB's;
Make a Backup before you start!
Its rule one of modding really, make a backup before changing ANYTHING, even the smallest detail can have a knock on effect, always be as careful as you can to avoid problems.
I have an idea: Maybe any editors that are released should come with an original DB?
Then a backup comes with it, putting all responsibility on the owner and not the New Star Games team, I suppose a original DB being uploaded on its own would be just as effective, but either way you stop inexperianced modders complaining about messing up their own games.

I guess there is no more need to create an editor since one is already hosted here: http://www.nssworld.smfnew.com/index.php?topic=8.msg15#new

I just saw that Pea, and also realised that it has a DB ready for download too.
Wish I'd seen that before writing all that, could've played NSS4 for three extra minutes. :)

Can I change the stats of my player in career??
When i load the database and search my player the stats are not right. For example i have 100 in pace, acceleration strenght e stamina but with the editor the stats are set to 1!! Also other stats are not right. I tried to change but nothing happens.
someone can help me?
azazel

No, you can't. Or rather, if you can, that editor can't do it. Just play the game rather than think about changing your stats.

ok thanks :D
I'm not try editor. It does work?
The editor will only work with the pre-game database, not the one that comes with the game.

http://i35.tinypic.com/b636vo.jpghttp://http://i35.tinypic.com/b636vo.jpgAfter edit names surnames sqad noumbers places of birth date of birth high and weight my players hasn't mach rating goals in top scores asist ect ect http://www.newstarsoccer.com/newstarforum/%5BIMG%5Dhttp://i35.tinypic.com/b636vo.jpg%5B/IMG%5D it looks like they will be not playing in maches all time
 Not sure what you're getting at here Seweryn? Do you mean after editing some details your players seem weaker? Unless you've used the database that comes with the game, there's limited support to be received.
