New season never started?

I started a new game playing for a club in Chile. The game started around december 08 when the league had already finished, and I've been clicking continue and it's now almost april 09, and the new season still hasn't began.

The club fixtures show last seasons completed matches and I just keep clicking continue but the season never starts. And I can see that last season the league began in january!

Can anyone help? Thanks!

I've had a similar problem.

After having played in the US since April, I transfered to a team in the English conference on the 9th of August. Ever since then the next fixture has been showing as the 8th of August, but it never gets played.

Same here. I started the game playing JJK in Finland and got loaned to Recing club de Ferrol, and the first game is almost 1 year away. My loan period end way before that :rolleyes:

I guess I have plenty of time for training now...

Yeah, same. Transferred to England from Sweden in january, next game is in august the year after this one :O

same problem here. australian league year 1 after transferring to the english league in year 2 games don't play, the fixtures don't update properly. tried a 3rd season after transferring to another english club, and it still doesn't let me play.

Same here. Got a transfer from Finnish league to England and no games are running there. I guess I must try to fish a contract back from Finland. :/

Started a game with 8 leagues: Sweden, England, Spain, Italy, France, Germany, Netherlands and Scotland. I started in Sweden where the season begins in April. I have completed one season not playing any games, just training (altough the games in Sweden are played normally). The other leagues were supposed to start in August (2008) but they did not, checking the fixtures list it says that they will start in Aug 2009. I was going to keep going another 8 months to see if they would start but after reading the other posts in this thread it seems that this is a serious problem with the game.

I'm 2010 atm playing with alot of leagues selected and it seems most of europe leagues are skipping the 10/11 season, I'm at august 23rd 2010 and most leagues have 1-2 mathes still left and they are schedueled for may 2010?! But that date has been passed?? and no nw leagues fixture dhave been schedueled, though a a few leagues run like normal, france and Denamkr seems to be fine with a few matches played of the new 2010/11 season.

I too have experienced the same problem. Moved from USA to UK and first i had seven months long "holiday" and when the games were supposed to start they did not....this is by far the biggest bug in the game :doh:

Send it to you, but spammed a bit first mail was from my hotmail which couldn't handle the zipped db file as hotmial only supports 10mb, but 2nd one from my google mail succeded. :dance:

Did you start your career in the demo version, then upgrade to the release version and continue your game?

Correction if you mean full version but unregistered, then yes, I started my game as unregistered then bought the game when it promted me and then played on.

Dunno if that's what you meant, or if there's been an actual career demo earlier :)

Ok, there are actually 2 issues with peoples saves in this thread.

1. You have a league where the fixtures have finished but the fixtures for the new season are not created.

Look through the fixture list and you will see that there are fixtures that were not completed. Now I'm not sure why these results are missing. Can you check the dates of the gaps and think what occurred on that date? Did you transfer clubs? Did the game crash maybe?

In the update I will make sure that new seasons are created but we need to find out why these fixture dates got skipped.

If you continue your career after installing the update the problem league will create new fixtures at the start of the following season. This means you will have to decide whether to train for a year, get a transfer or simply start a new career when the update is available.

2. You have a league where the fixtures are 1 year later than they should be.

This is caused by a mistake in the database setup when you start in a league with a first fixture before August 2008. This bug will be fixed in the update, but I am not able to reset the fixture dates in your save file. If you continue your saved game the fixtures will play when you reach them so you have to decide whether to train for a year, get a transfer or simply start a new career when the update is available.

I can't recall what happened but atleast I can rule out the crashing. NSS4 has never crashed on me.

In my game I was playing in the USA, got transfer listed and had an offer from "Berrow" in the English Conference on ~7th August 2008.

I tried to negotiate new terms and was again offered a deal from the same club and moved to them on the 9th. In the meantime Berrow (and all conference teams) were supposed to play their first fixture on the 8th August 2008, but apparently that never happened. So now it is eternally waiting.

Didn't start career in demo version, and no crashes.

I didn't transfer the first season, because I noticed the season in England wouldn't start until the year after. So I waited until the january window instead, and hoped it would work better if I were in England before the first game of the season, but when august came, it wasn't any games until the year after that.

I believe I transferred around that time, but not really sure that's what caused it. After that I transferred alot until I found a club with Fixtures ended up in the Danish Superleague.

I've got a slight variation on this 'season not starting' problem, and one that makes a bit more sense.

I began the game with English, Scottish and Spanish leagues, transferred to a Welsh team (Newport County) in the Conference South, who were then promoted up a league - but not to the National Conference, to the 'Nun-Geo league,' which I can only assume is a Welsh league.

So, (because I haven't selected Welsh leagues, I am assuming), my team have not been allocated any fixtures and all I can do is train and watch the results for the other leagues come up. I guess it could be fixed if I transferred elsewhere, but:

a) the transfer season has closed, so I'd have to wait until January

b) I was kind of looking forward to playing this season in the Conference with them (especially as I'd just got to the point where I might actually be good / popular / confident enough to get a game!)

Hi all
I also have had this problem playing in the danish league, came up with a quick fix though for the people who really can´t wait for Simons update to be released.
I noticed SQLitebrowser being mentioned somewhere else on the forum so I tried downloading it and opening my savegame-file with it. Made sure to create a backup copy of this file first though.
I found it fairly easy to find the actual date of the saved game, altered that date to almost one year into the future, just in time for my next fixture to be played. Saved the database and problem solved.
I guess this is not a "official" quickfix sence then it would have been mentioned by Si & his crew, but for the people like me who couldn´t wait another day to play a couple of games this seems to work ;)
Dont know about any longterm consequences though.

First sidenote: I also had the same problem which Hoppetoss and Helmut brought up in another thread, never being chosen for the side that is. Having no fixtures for a year allowed me to train my skills enough to get selected quite easily once the season restarted.

Second sidenote: GREAT game SI! This fixture bug is the very first issue/incompability I´ve encountered and since I guess this will be fixed quite soon I don´t have a problem with it. Cheers! :clap:

i am now in the situation, that i have played 43 games in cinference north, but no more fixtures in club fixture list. i have searched through the fixtures and a game day in november was not played. that must be approx the time i ask for a transfer at my old club.
do you need the db or have you completely fixed that issue?

Oh dear - having now decided to leave Newport County and the Georgian league behind me in order to pursue a career with Lorca Deportivo in Spain, I've run into yet another problem.

The league already seemed to be 27 games in when I joined at the beginning of August, which immediately made me suspicious. The next match wasn't scheduled until mid-September, but upon reaching that date the match never happened and remained as the next fixture.

However, a Copa del Reya match did occur about two months later, but that is the only one that has been triggered from August to December. The other Spanish leagues seem to be carrying on fine around us - it's just the one that my team is in that never started. :(

I have the same problem. I have the version 4.01 and i was transfered to Burnely in England from Netherlands. There aren't fixtures and i played only one match but not in league, it was a cup match. It's 2nd september and i haven't played a match

Ah - hadn't noticed that there was a new update available.

I'm going to persist with training for the year for now as I don't want to lose all the progress I've made. If it happens next time I transfer I'll try the new version.

I have chose 8 nations at the begnning and controlling i have seen that there are 4 league where there aren't matches for example italian league, brazilian and german

I only chose three leagues - Scotland, England and Spanish. All other competitions seem to have continued with their fixtures apart from the one my team is in.

Although it sounds as though the update has fixed the problem for some people anyway so, as I said before, I will switch to that if it persists after this season.

i tried to start another career with the original db and there aren't problems, maybe the fixed db is the problem

After training in Spain for a year I transferred to Stockport, where fixtures picked up later than they should have - so by the time June 1st came around we were still playing league games. The season never finished and no English leagues were successfully created for the next one. Also, the playoffs went ahead while we were still playing the league, but with 'team 1,' 'team 2' etc.

I'm going to give up and start from scratch with the updated version now to see if that's fixed it - but I'll stick with the unfudged database at first just to see what happens.

i start with 4 countries. italy, spain, england and croatia. after 3 seasons in croatia i got offer at the end of the season. it was around 1 of june. i got offer from Hercules they are in spain div 2.they where in mid table. i notcied strange thing, they played only 30 games and there are 22 clubs. sudenly, in august, i noticed that in secund div are 26 clubs. thats 2 much. after 3-4 weeks, my new club still didnt play any game. my club and 3 more clubs. but all others in same league play 2-3 games.

sick bug. i play with latest version. please help.

I have that same problem with NSS2010. In my third or fourth season (I think...), playing for various English clubs, I was offered a contract by Stattgarter Kickers, playing in 2nd Bandesliga Promotion. That was at the end of the season. After that the new season started, but no fixtures for Stattgarter Kickers. I can train and play friendlies, in- and outdoors, work on my relationships, but there are no fixtures for my club.

Meanwhile I get offers from other clubs (all this training did a lot for my skills and value), but these offers crash the game when I even only want to check out what the offer is about. Also, the club offering the contract, remains nameless (The popup says that ....... offers me a contract, ..... meaning blank space...). It looks like a bug. Training is nice, but I wanna play league matches again! Can anyone help me here?
