I did manage to buy the game altough it was pretty slow.

A quick question. What does "quick database" do when you choose your leagues? I wouldn't mind being able to start the game quicker but not if it means less detail or something like that.

I also noticed that the number of leagues you can choose has been increased to 12! Very nice, I just hope I have the patience to run that many.

* Do you get any specific error messages?
* What are your system specs? (Operating system, CPU, RAM and graphics card) [type dxdiag to "Run" screen to get this info.]
* Are you running the game as Administrator if you're running on Vista?
* Were you able to play the game before? (any demo or beta)

If you choose QuickDB the game will not create new players at clubs that are empty. Generally this is just the lower leagues, so try playing with QuickDB first and if your team/league is missing players start again with the normal database. I would recommend most people use QuickDB especially if you want to run 12 leagues.

This is what it says when I click the download link:

"Invalid File. This error has been forwarded to MediaFire's development team."

The link to buy the game works.

i have had this problem with mediafire in the past and it is fairly comon if you google it. i have never seen anyone solve the mystery but it usually stays like that for a week or so and then suddenly you can download again. Sometimes it wont even let you on the site...

it only affects some people for some reason, most should be able to download!

I though that the full game would work but it didnt, too...
The demo version didn't work at my computer and it is too...
I have a Vista Business.
2038 mb ram
DirectX 10(ı installed 9.0,too)

I installed the full version, clicked the button but it didn't started...
it didn't give any specific error(no errors)
When i clicked, there is nothing happen...

It is probably your graphics card. Can you run the game in debug mode and let us know the last few lines of the log?

Go to My documents/New Star Soccer 4/Settings
Open Settings.ini
set debugmode=1
Start NSS4
Click ok and don't change anything
after the game crashes go to program files/new star soccer 4/
tell us the last few lines of NSS4.log

both of you try this please.

when i start the game (both normal and as Administrator), none of the menu items are readable. menus look fine but i can't read anything on them. the mouse pointer is also just a square on the screen.

i use a toshiba laptop as well as my room-mate and we both have the same problem.
toshiba satellite a 200 core2duo 1.66ghz, 2gb ram, 358 mb intel chipset 965 express video card with directx 10

I put my license code when the game requested and it said it was ok. After a couple of times of pressing continue, it asked for my license again and I had tu paste it again. Is this normal?

Did you save your game after registering your license code?

try and start the game and it jst shuts itself dwn!!

Can you provide more info about your problem? Such as your system specs etc.. (you can find which info to provide in various threads ;))

That could be due to ppl not having updated drivers too ;)

We worked hard to wipe compatibility errors away ;)

What operating system are you running? If you're running on Vista, please uninstall the game and then install with Admin rights ;)

No, but I had not quit the game in between. I started, registered, advanced a couple of fixtures and was asked for the license again, without quitting or restarting at any time.

I saved it now and closed the game to see if it makes a difference. Thanks!

I received the Mediafire invalid file error as well. Is there any chance of a mirror being setup for those of us who are unable to download from Mediafire?

Edit: It just worked for me, so for those of you having problems just keep trying.

As many people trying to download the game right now, the starting of download would take some time ;)

Anyway...

NSS4 looks promisings...wow :) but two things after 30 min of demo game play.

We live in widescreen era, why 1024x768 is the max resolution? Give me 1440x900 ;)

I decided to be a AM/R, there was a cup game where I was a substitute and I substituted goalkeeper in my team. This is stupid :) And my rating felt down as I was just standing in goalie area and waiting for the opponents shots :) You should fix that :)

Meh, On demo i came atleast to the league selection before it crashed, Now i just come where i choose the details, LIke resolution and so on, Then the windows and the music starts and then it crashed =(

It would be nice, if you could modify controls for mouse. At moment, player runs his stamina out very fast. (ie. if you are offscreen, player runs to onscreen with full pace)
I would like to get sprint to keyboard. :)

Hi,

Great game, I love it. Just finished my second season.

But I've got a slight issue. I started out playing in Sweden. In Sweden, we play from april - october, so in july of 2009 I got transfer listed and bid on. Thing is, all clubs but the swedish ones starts in august 2010 :S

They're pretty much skipping 09/10 completely. Was the same when I tried to leave in fall '08. Next game is fall '09 for all clubs but the swedish ones... :/

I live in Sweden and was about to purchase NSS4. But when I was about to pay is said 153.28 SEK (122,60 + 30,67 VAT). Do I get a CD with the game on sent to my homeadress or do I just recieve a serial key to my email?

Should I really have to pay VAT cost just for a serial sent to my mail in that case?

I can think of no reason not to pay VAT just because you are not receiving a physical product. VAT is still payable at online stores etc on download only products? :confused:

I´m probably just used to all Swedish physical stores and Internet sites that has the VAT included in all prices given to the customer. If it is 14,95 then it is 14,95, not 14,95 + VAT when you are about to pay.

I was just a bit unsure because earlier I have bought passwords, serials and accounts from other sites (sent to my email) and have never been given a new different price before pressing the purchase button (the price + VAT). But they must all have included the VAT in the first given price then.

But thanks for the answer. Just wanted to know if I got a CD och just a key.
