ohhhh.. I'm all excited. Once NSS3 is out, I think I'll be needing a few weeks off to get used to it!

 very nice JJUIt was just as well it was the communal entrance area then! Went and brought all the gear today, quite chuffed with only spending £350 on it all!

nice man, we most be paying you too much :wink:I couldn't possibly comment... though I had a toast (large scotch with ice) to my sadly departed grandad yesterday who has helped fund my little venture into mobility.

Weird actually thinking about it, he died on the first day of last football season or thereabouts, the day Arsenal beat Boro 5-3!

Just out of curiousity, why is your bike inside?

JJU
08-14-2005, 09:36 AM
It's only an old Honda NS125R, 1989 reg! It's actually my first bike, I only passed the CBT last week :o

And it was inside the communal hallway as some muppet had written the code for the bike shed down wrong and it was raining at the time

How much did you pay for it? If you dont mind me asking.

JJU
08-14-2005, 10:29 AM
£600 off someone from the other half's family. And I've just gone and dropped it on it's side and broken the gear lever #-o Looks like another couple of days til I'm on the road

JJU

well for anyone wondering... (especially Dimitrije's sister, tell her I can supply pics of me all geared up :o ), I've now done about 20 miles on it, but also managed to come off it at low speed and cause about £300 of damage, which I hope I can fix up for considerably less.

Ah... the open road and the fresh air ruffling through your ha... err.. vents...

Do you have a picture of you falling off it? :?

JJU

Do you have a picture of you falling off it? :? :wink:Which time? I've dropped it twice since the first time, luckily my new brake lever is a little more sturdy!

And as for when I came off... right in front of my apartment, with a queue of 3 cars waiting for me to turn  I'll hunt them down and see if they got a pic

and my latest inane update

Now done about 50 my miles on it, got it up to 85mph, which is quite scary...

Also came off today at about 15mph, it's an old bike and I've now learnt the hard way it is prone to the odd spastic fit when starting if not warmed up.

Tomorrow was going to be spent looking for a plastic welding kit on eBay, but I think now it'll be better spent looking for a new side panel, as well as the new wing mirrors, foot rests and kick stand it already needs :(

You seem to be struggling with the concept that your bike is easier to ride and a lot more fun when it is moving in a direction on its wheels, and not on its side

Still, good look repairing it matey

Alas... my 'new' bike is now resembling something more fit for the scrapheap  Came off today turning off a dual carriageway, destroying the left hand fairing and damaging the main one (the 'nose cone') in the process.

A trip to Dave Silver for £150 of new bodywork and a respray beckons #-o

Luckily all I've got now is a slightly grazed and bloodied knee
