Man I wish they would remake Moonstone.
I think it came out back in !990-1992. I remember it on the Amiga and was produced by some German company I think.
It was banned in some countries.
It was by far one of the most violent video games I've ever played. Twenty times more violent than the contraversial Mortal Kombat or Syndicate at the time.
I wish they would remake it.
Any remember it?
--------------------
To jog your memory - not for the faint hearted.
A) When you went against the dragon if it set you on fire you would run around screaming in a towering inferno before finally falling to your knees and then crumpling to the ground in a charred blackened pile of ashes.
B) When you went against the giants they clubbed you to death with a tree trunk. If they cleaned you on your last bit of health one leg would end up on one end of the screen and another on the other end and blood from left to right.
C) When you fought the rat man with the pikes there last move to kill you was to impale you on their spears and stick you upright into the ground. Your body would slide down the spear leaving a trail of blood. It was cooler when you killed them though because if you chopped them one way they would turned into a bloody heap on the floor. But if you stabbed them in the stomach they would fall over and a fountain of blood would gush up about a foot for two of three hefty squirts.
D) When you dueled black knights they would chop your head off as a finishing move sending a flying helmet and a trail of blood through the air. It was finished with your body falling over and blood spilling out of your neck.
E) When you fought the bulls they would skewer your lifeless body on there horns.
F) The best part was that when you went up against 12 or so ratman you rould just end up with a sea of blood and bodies. The computer was kind enough to leave the bludgeoned sprites on the screen.
So yea.. that was about 14-15 years ago.... I can't think of even anything today too much gorier than that. I want a remake darn it.
Si, your next project awaits!
:)
