Seeing as at present, the forum is so dull, i have decided to start gossiping...........

VIEIRA TO JUVENTUS?
Arsenal have opened talks with Juventus about selling captain Patrick Vieira, says the Daily Mail. An Italian delegation is said to have arrived in London to begin negotiations about the Frenchman, with the Gunners said to be wanting £18m and Juventus' bidding starting at £12m. They claim that Lyon midfielder Mahamadou Diarra is lined up as Vieira's replacement.

RIO TO REAL?
Real Madrid's British contingent could be boosted again, with The Sun claiming that the Spanish giants are eyeing a move for Man United defender Rio Ferdinand, who is still to sign a new £100,000-a-week contract at Old Trafford. Real have missed out on Steven Gerrard and Cristiano Ronaldo this summer but could have more luck with a decent offer for Ferdinand

ESSIEN AND SWP FOR CHELSEA?
With Steven Gerrard staying at Liverpool, it seems that Chelsea will step up their efforts to sign Lyon midfielder Michael Essien and Man City winger Shaun Wright-Phillips. Little SWP is expected to make his transfer in the coming days for a fee of around £22m. The Daily Mail says at least some of that money will be spent by City boss Stuart Pearce on Crystal Palace striker Andy Johnson.

AND THE REST
Portsmouth are hoping to sign Reggina keeper Emanuele Balardi, while West Ham are poised to sign Shaka Hislop...Spurs and Newcastle have been offered the chance to sign Barcelona striker Javier Saviola on a free transfer...Everton have hijacked Fulham's bid to sign Graz AK star Rene Aufhauser...West Ham have confirmed their interest in signing Porto striker Benni McCarthy...Arsenal are closing in on £10m Brazilian striker Julio Baptista...Leeds have made an £800,000 bid for Birmingham striker Robbie Blake...Wigan will hold talks on Friday with Bastia defender Pascal Chimbonda

Methinks this belongs in the 'News' Thread? Even if it is relatively quiet at the moment (I'd imagine a few of us are busy doing the NSS3 leagues...) please try and post in the right place

I dunno, it's summer in some places isn't it? I'm sure it'll liven up soon, but you still don't need to create a new thread just to post :)
