And no, not the toothpaste...

I'm not sure how many of you have been following the Ashley Cole fiasco, but now the fines have been handed out and Cole has said he wouldn't accept £200,000 per week from Arsenal, I hope they let him rot in the reserves.

I'd play in the reserves for next to nothing, no one needs £60,000 per week to live. If he loves the club so much, he should shut up and sign for half of what he's on now.

Anyone else got a view on all this?

I must admit I havent heard enough about all this, I've been too involved in golf and cricket in the last few weeks, so ill wait until everyone has stuck their oar in and said something, then ill offer something, maybe even something constructive :)

Well, I guess nowadays footballers are kinna "blackmailing" their owners for a huge wagepay when they get "famous" and when other clubs are trying to sign 'em. They use this opportunity to get a lot of out the club.

I agree that if one truly loves the club, he could jolly well shut up and even if he recieve next to nothing every week (which i dun presume anyone would, though), he would still give his best to the club week in week oout
