Yeah, your both right i guess. Manyoo is right in saying that Winning Eleven is always the first released, in Japan, where Konami are based. Then after a while, a few tweaks are made to whatever Winning 11 title it is, and it is repackaged and released as a Pro Evo title in Europe. Fun times.

Arent Winning 11 the same as Pro Evo ? They are just released in different continents, adopting a different name, that's all.

Anyway, if u wanna get a sim-styled footie game, get WE/PES rather than FIFA? Why? Its not as repetitve, in my opinion, as FIFA series, and furthermore its more fun.

For management, there can only be one name:- CM (or u prefer to get FM now since CM5 kinna sux) in my case, would get FM. Its the best.

NSS2? Hm... its just gets better and better!

This football manager crap isnt a patch on championship manager 01/02. that is by far the greatest football game ever, it had unrivalled gameplay, and i still play it now, even though its nearly 4 years old.

its not, champ is, or was. The old champs, the new ones are rubbish. 01/02, u can prolly get in ebay for about a fiver, prolly less. Its a game all others were based on it was so good.

I feel i have played bout 90% of all soccer managment games ever released but i havnt played football manager 2005. The best i have come across is by championship manager. But there are many that are not well know but are very good, like USM 98 it was never continued after 98 but it is a very good game and also sick as a parot aka sapp is also a very good game were the players dont have attributes for you to read like other managment games. You have to base your decisions on the players performances in games and traning instead of reading atributes and selecting the most skilled player.

As for actual playing socccer games the FIFA series has been the best except FIFA 2005 is crap and PES4 is 100x better. In fact i would say PES4 is the best game for playing soccer.

As for games like new star soccer they are good and there are only 2 diffrent ones i have come across new star soccer and this german one that has some problems in the english version. This is the newest soccergaming genre and it probably has a great future.

USM 98 was good, but USM 2 was the best. I had that for my Pentium 1, 133 processor PC, and it was just so good :D

The game had natural financial inflation built into it, and every year the prices for your merchandise and food and drink slowly went up and up, and crowds were happy to stay within a pricing bracket so long as the computer had set it and inflation had pushed up the prices, not you. Had a game at Monaco, somewhere around 2040, and the price of a pint of lager was about £55, and roughly £40 for a burger.

Thats Russian style finances for you right there :D

Yeah totally. For the time it was released, I'd have said it was streets ahead of its time. And what made it so special was that it was a great game, but also had its own little fun glitches that made you laugh.

One was the ultimate money cheat. Place a player on the market for £999,999,999,999, and eventually, within 6 months, someone will come in with a bid for him. Normally its a rubbish lower league team who would never have that sort of cash in a million years of saving. The example is selling Andy Booth to Cambridge United for just over £900 Billion.

Other fun things in the game we recommended formations and team selections, including voice as well as text, from your assistant manager. The ability to rig matches, bribe refs, bung clubs Arsenal style, and bet on your own games, were cool features.

Also, When you tried ground constructions, you could see what u were doing with the bulldozer, and whenever you tried to demolish your chairmans office, the little sign came up saying "I dont think the chairman would be very happy if you did that" No he wouldnt, but I would.

Visual trophy cabinet, where cups were actually added as you won them, and they all looked different, depending what you had just won. It was all just so good, I'm going to go upstairs and play it now :D

by download i meant download the demo to check it out . the demo is far from the real game but it gives you a idea. i bought it and it is worthwile. :D
