Dear Diary,
Today i got offered a trial at slovakian team Ruzomberok in the top division.
At first i wasnt too sure, but i took up the opputunity, i mean it isnt like
teams over here in england are fighting over me.
So, i went to the trial, and was suprised by some of the talent in the team there,
it wasnt half bad, probably League 1 standard.
And i excelled in the trial, so we went straight into the boardroom to discuss
contracts, and was offered £600 a week for 2 seasons, and they will provide me
5 star accomodation with a teamate.
It was quite nice out there, and i accepted.
My Family are over the moon about it, and they are going to come to each game,
as flights are paid for by the club (thanks to my manager).
I will also pop home every Monday + Tuesdays, as we dont have traning then.
I am really happy.
Ruzomberok 2-1 MSK 6 August
Dear Diary,
Today i made my debut, My professional debut!
I was so excited when i ran out on the pitch in front of 3500 supports, and 10 people in the crowd
being my family.
Despite being on the pitch for all the game, i never really got going, and had a really
bad game, not because i did stuff wrong, mainly because i didt do anything!
Oh well at least we won.
Rating ; 3/10
6th Sept
Dear Diary, I feel im finnaly starting to get used to this league and its style of play,
I scored my first goal in my second game against Spartak, but it was even more special for
3 reasons ;
1. We won 1-0
2. It was on the 90th minute
3. I had butchered loads of chances beforehand
The feeling i got was great, as i saw my family cheering in the stands.
I got my first MOM, could this be my journsey onto better things?
However next match things went on a downer, i picked up a yellow card
after the 10 minute mark, and then recieved a second for a late challenge
just 50 minutes later.
These referees arent half fussy, theres usually about 7 yellows a game.
The only really positive thing that came out of that game, was that i felt
me and Stivko, are developing a good understanding.....
I wish the media were understanding, they gave me a right slating after that
as we went on to lose by 2 goals.
Between the 2nd and 3rd game i went out drinking with some new slovakian friends
due to me being suspended.... lets just say the media had a field day the next morning.
On the match i was suspended we lost 2-0 again, i hope this isnt becoming a habit.
All in all we've had an okay first month, hopefully it well get a lot better.
