So far so good on my mac. Plays beautifully just getting the hang of it.

Just to echo a couple of points that have already been mentioned on the PC section -

The goalkeepers are letting in 50 yard shots without going for them.

Also would be cool if I am making a run as a striker to have the ball played to feet or in front of me instead of having to stop and wait for it.

But still coming along very nicely and I have found no major problems after a couple of hours.

On the match setup screen there is a little wrench icon near the right corner click on it and you change it from there.

ok, i've got a mac but it still not working. It says that the file could be damaged or incomplete... i don't know what to do...

This will only work on MacOS X (the intel macs). So if you have PPC it won't work at least until sometime after the final release.

If you have OSX then open the dmg file, then drag the NSS4 icon into your Applications folder and run it.

Hey Simon,

Been a user of NSS3 in the past but it fell by the wayside once I got a mac. Now seeing that you are going to release NSS4 on Mac is absolutely brilliant.

I downloaded the Beta and have played two games (both losses) and have encountered no bugs causing the game to crash and the gameplay is certainly enjoyable (even though I'm shithouse).

I will continue to play various games and report any errors I encounter.

Hi, just tested the 1.3 beta and here's my two cents.
I think the direction mark in the players (green arrow) could be more subtle, but it's a good idea. On the other hand i think the arrows around the ball just get in the way, they take away a lot of the football feel.
The player flow is perfect in my opinion, but i see some problems in the ball physics. It gives me a "wet floor" impression, and a ball kicked by my goalie went all the way up to the other goal. I'll keep playing and posting.
Can't wait for the game to come out. Amazing work.

You can turn off the ball cursor in the options. :)

It should be at the bottom right in your last picture (at least it is in the PC version). You could also try pressing 'Esc' once the match started and it should lead you to that same screen.

comparing with kaldow's screenshots. i suppose its a glitch in mine.
the buttons at the bottom right hand side is missing.

but i can try clicking blindly in the empty space to go to the options or enter the game.

I imagine that it is next to impossible to make/create a game, so all my suggestions are intended to improve on the game.

1. The help screen in game
Page 2 is empty. I'm sure something is suppose to be there but it's not showing up for me. Also some help spans over 2 pages and for convince it would be easier for the one thought to be on one page.

2. Free kicks?
When I had a free kick in the game I pressed pass, the bar on the left went up, and I pressed again. And nothing happened, again I pressed pass and the bar began going up from where it stopped previously. This stopped when it reached the top and my character kicked it.
*edit* never mind. I read the instructions again. I enjoy this better than last.

3. Replays
When I watched a replay in game I saw what seemed to be the players speed above their heads and I was wondering if this was on purpose?

I enjoyed the game, although it was quite hard I'm sure it will get easier as we go along...
