Well, in fairness, sporting did fall apart and forget to defend, at all

especially in the second goal when they let thingybob play the through ball and then thingybob number 2 scored.

there were 2 defenders and they just let the original thingybob slip past

I dont think its fair to criticise people trying to speak our language, as we never really bother to learn anyone elses :)

I know. Loads of different countries learn english but we dont really bother to learn any language. Like when i was at school i didn't even try in french and i got dropped from it.

is this the same Ricardo who is rumoured to be on his way to Arsenal?

btw.. I don't believe another Russian team will win the UEFA Cup for at least another 20 years, unless Ambramovich goes home!

I think that's a pretty fair conclusion. The feeling seems to be "half the world speaks english, why should we learn any other language?" I wish it were different mind!

I wasnt saying you cant speak any languages, as clearly you can, its just i dont feel its faur for anyone to fault someone who is having a go at a different language. I cant speak any languages, i got a decent grade on a low level entry for Franch GCSe, but apart from that, im widely useless.

Just got in from work, champions league game, quality, made the time fly by :D

I was only at school 3 years ago, and we had a choice of well, french, and a few did german, apparently now you can also do Spanish, so maybe the government is deciding we should really learn other languages as we are so keen on the european union. Credit to people who can speak other languages though, whatever they are, as I cant.

ok, 2 things,

1. sorry to kiko, no most english people can't, or for that matter can't be bothered to learn another language

2. (to Mad2Ad) it depends on the school you go to, i went to a grammar school, so i learnt french and german as bog standard and in the 6th form, you could learn russian or chinese, as they are the big business countries now, and the school has loadsa people with 5+ a-levels (note, it wasn't a private school, and i am not a boffin etc, it is a selctive school and practically the best in the country)
