Alright, this is just a quick question with regards to a football game I’m making myself, its coming along well but I’ve managed to get myself into a dilemma by only making it six-a-side (at the moment anyway) meaning two attackers one midfielder and two defenders. So... who to choose to fill that midfield spot for England? Beckham? Gerrard? Lampard? I'm slightly drawn towards one of the latter two as i personally feel they are better than Beckham at the moment, but i want to see what other people think... So cast your vote please :D
Thanks :P
It kinda depends on who is going to be playing your game and how seriously you want it taken. If you want to please the mindless footie fans, then Beckham.. if you want to p*ss off those who hate/dislike Chelski then Lampard... so I said Gerrard
Given the choice in reality I'd go for Gerrard actually, still believe he is a better all round player than Lamps.

yeah i would pick gerrard to
lfor one reason
lampard plays for chelsea
gerrard plays for liverpool
i dont think that lampard would be able to do what gerrard does at liverpool.

Funnily enough it was Gerrard i put in there first, to fill up the space while trying to decide, so it looks like there's a fair chance he's staying put
As for what Audience will be playing it... I probably wont be sure until its complete, i'll probably post a demo of it once ive got that far in a few days :D

Gerrard for sure as he is much better at drifting aroung the pitch, when has Beckham ever drifted left during a match and Lampard is definately an attacking midfielder, despite defending a lot, although Gerrard, not only is capable of doing both, but does both.

Though everybody who replied voted to Gerrard :x , I still defend Beckham, even if you tell that I'm crazy. OK, Beckham have never drifted trough the left, and Beckham isn't playing very well, but I think that Beckham is one of those players who can change the outcome of a World Cup final match (only an example) in only one pass or shoot, I mean, when everything seems finished, he may come up with something bright and revive his team. The example: German World Cup 2006, final, England and Brazil(hehe), 1-1, last minute of the match, Cafu makes a foul on Rooney very near of the goal (but not a penalty), Beckham takes it and make the goal (it's not hard to believe that he would do it) then it's 2-1 and the cup goes to England (remember that it's just an example). Don't know if Gerrard or Lampard can do it, but Beckham sure does.

Just rembered, will the game have substitutes? If it's gonna have, maybe that's not so hard to choose, as you can choose wich one will start the match, so it will be to the player judgment. :-k

Not as yet, but I may have a look into how to manage it later on :P
I'll probably release a Demo within the next few days to show how its coming along, and i'd estimate the (first) release of the full version would be in 2-4 weeks time depending on progress i make, and what the reaction to the demo is

Nah. Gerrard is a class above Lamps and Becks... he combines both the defensive and offensive aspects of the game much better than either of them.

i certainly depends on the match - the big matches have produced the best of all but what do other matches bring out in them? :? :-k
