just wondering seeing as the teams in Northern Ireland and Wales are rubbish, and thats putting it nicely, - imagine if the biggest teams formed a league like this
Premier League
Man U
Arsenal
Celtic
Rangers
Chelsea
Man City
Tottenham
Birmingham City
Aston Villa
Portsmouth
etc

The question is will Conference-North accept Celtic and Rangers? :o
Exactly, they'd have no devine right to start off life in the Premiership, or even the 'Championship'.. unless of course that was a slight on the ability of Scottish teams?
Seriously, not worth thinking about, EPL teams would not accept it, and I think there would be an assortment of legal issues that would prevent it from happening. What I'd like to see instead is Scottish football improving to a decent standard as a whole.

Yes, it was the fact that they have no right to just walk into the premiership that i was getting at
Also Aberdeen away on a cold Tuesday night in October anyone?

showing my age here, but i think the lower leagues we should bring back the north and south leagues, its makes no sense for low southern team travelling the length of the country to play a game which sees a few hundred fans, mostly home fans.
As for a Bristish league it wont happen a break away european league could happen..... if it does it will be a sad thing it will kill the Premiership and the lower leagues would become nothing. FIFA / The FA need to start regulating money more as the difference between Man Utd / Chelsea to Liverpool is already too vast. The Chelsea thing amuses me to be honest, Roman will not keep ploughing money in for ever, so what happens if say he turns around tomorrow and pulls out? Chelsea are stuffed, the wage bill will cripple them.
Every since the premiership started there have been rumours of Rangers and Celtic wanting to join, but what then for scottish football?

Apparently the scottish league itself as a whole is running at a massive loss, and wont be around too many more years I've heard, as only the top two make a profit, everyone else in scotland is on a big loss.
The "british league" seems as if difficult to carry out.
Because those top teams belong to different associations.
