Definitely Vista compatible. It should also be available on Mac and Linux.

I'm not completely sure how NSS4's going to work on Linux yet, and I have a big stake because I'm about to run only Ubuntu as soon as my new laptop gets here this week (my other one died), so while I'm hoping it'll be compatible, and while I'll be testing it, we can't say for sure yet.
can u tell mi if it works on ubuntu statoo plz

if it works well on Ubuntu will it work on Mandriva?
If you don't know I can test it but I'm green on Linux so maybe you wanna try Mandriva Statto?

I've only ever used Ubuntu, but it should work on Mandriva if it works on Ubuntu. I'm not installing Mandriva over this Ubuntu installation, but Linux is Linux, so there shouldn't be any problems. (I only have an Ubuntu computer now, just got it yesterday, not a windows sticker on the thing :) )

Yeah... I only know Ubuntu...
The fact that it doesn't run some games makes me simply not care...

Ubuntu can be really, really frustrating at times when it comes to that, but it's better than XP or OSX in my opinion, even though I can't play NSS3 :(

Nothing is perfect, Ubuntu is better than Windows but the games will not work there. :( While some great Ubuntu features won't work with Windows.

Ubuntu is quite a good OS, I prefer it to Windows for a number of reasons. It does have its drawbacks, though. If you're familiar with Windows but still rather green with computers, you could have problems. However, the positives outweigh the negatives in my book.
For instance, my desktop is completely uncluttered. There are no icons on the desktop at all that I didn't put there (no My Computer, no random anti-virus, no list of like 20 icon-pictures that nobody has any idea what they do in the bottom right part of the screen). The GNOME environment is completely configurable (that's the desktop program), so I have made my own personal theme that nobody else has, so ugly Windows gray is no longer chic.
A new version comes out every six months, and to upgrade, you just click the "upgrade" button (been meaning to do that today). Upgrades are continuous and you know exactly what is being upgraded (if you want to choose that option). It's completely, completely free. Microsoft owns Vista, no one "owns" Ubuntu (I guess Canonical does technically). You don't purchase Vista, you purchase the right to use Vista on your computer, but Ubuntu is completely free, the programs that come with it are completely free (though I think they're on all Linux distributions) and it has a large community of people who can help out.
But then again, it did crash after five minutes on a completely new computer that came preinstalled with it.

Happens ... but I'm not mad at that guy .. it's just most people didn't even heard of some great Linux productions, and thats noobing for me because I thiink the only advantage that Win has ob Lin is that games work on it and it's a BIT easier to handle.
What about Nss4?? When the beta v. is relased?
The first version that will be released to the public is most likely to be the release version. I doubt there will be a public beta release.

I've been presented with a license for Solaris' Developer's edition :D
Eager to try it, and develop a Java 'hello world' and see it running on two different environments :P
