Hi all, just wanted to have a few words with you previous to the testing phase we will enter :)
I have to update the game files before we can do any serious testing, which means I need a merged file with all your translations :)
SO I am going to need your translation files if you want to try them ;)
After I prepare the whole update thing, I'll send you your file back, and you'll be able to correct any sentences/words you need to.
You shuold use red font colour on those changed words, so that I know those need to be updated.

Have tried the translated game now, and it appears to be some problems with the language file. The news appeared in Dutch (I think), and some translated words showed up in English.
Some words I saw in English, who weren't in the translating file were: Panels, Buttons and Text in the Interface section, some of the gambling words, and some of the in-match words.
I also think we should get to translate the names of some of the nations and leagues, as they aren't the same in English as in other languages.
Also have a little problem with the new translation file; all the words are in the same column, only divided by ,'s (don't know the name of "," in English). Some help needed :)

I think there's a major problem with game... In Turkish we have small "I" as "ı" And also there's no "ğ", "ş" But in the game instead of these characters, there's "?" Am I going to write whole translation again? :blimey:
And after selected language, the game didn't start with my selected language, I had to edit the "settings.ini" file to change game's language.

And after selected language, the game didn't start with my selected language, I had to edit the "settings.ini" file to change game's language.
I had to do that too. Also, the letter "h" isn't showing at all (e.g my nickname was showed as Olsin o). I don't know why though, it's a normal letter in every language isn't it?

I had to edit setings too,but I don`t have problems with buttons,everything is on serbian,but I have problem like raknet have,with letters we have in serbian,like š,đ,č,ć,ž."?" apears instead...the game doesn`t support it.

Huh, I've choosed Swedish in the settings but still it's all in English. =\
Am I stupid?

Open "AlphaE\Settings\settings.ini" file.
At the bottom of the file there's a language string. After "=" write "sv"
It's a problem with settings.exe file, it won't edit the language string in the settings.ini file. I'm sure that'll fixed further relases. It's only alpha version.. ;)
Spanish => 'es'
Polish => 'pl'
Serbian => 'sr'
Turkish => 'tr'
German => 'de'
French => 'fr'
Danish => 'da'
Italian => 'it'
Czech => 'cs'
Swedish => 'sv'
Slovenian => 'sl'
Dutch => 'nl'
Portuguese => 'pt'
Romanian => 'ro'
Russian => 'ru'

Great, it works. But that has to mean I really am stupid. Anyway, thanks mate.

Okay, here the answers come :P
I'm pretty sure that some missing words are only because Si hasn't included them on the files yet ;)
The 'h' letter missing is pretty worrying, I'm writing Si about this.
The other letters, like raknet and Dimitrije found that are represented with a '?' probably mean that Si hasn't messed with multilanguage encoding much yet, but I'll let him know.
And the settings.ini thing is simply an alpha bug, I'll tell Si and he'll have it fixed for future releases.

Anyone?...

@ Olsinho - comma ?
According to Si, the only reason for you not seeing an inmediate change on language when at the settings panel, is that the panel's words haven't been translated yet, try keeping in the game and you should notice the game :)
And we're working to get the Turkish/serbian/etc characters to work
BTW can anyone post a screenshot of the 'h' not displaying? Thanks

Fab,in my xls file instead of "šđćžč" appears `?` shoould I correct it at way it was,and should I use red colour?
Olsinho

Fab: Yeah, comma. The file is like this:
NSS Trans File - 19-08-2007
Comma-divided file for Microsoft Excel
56 kb
it's not like the other files.
As I said earlier all the languages are in the same column, so can't really use it.

Hmm... I put Finnish as raknet told to Sanderson to put Swedish (apparently there are two dums now :D) I can see Finnish but all the news are in Swedish?? Do I have to put 'fi' to somewhere else
Fabrizio Gatti
08-22-2007, 04:09 PM
Hmm, nope, you shouldn't change anything :think: That has to do with some buttons/things not having been translated yet (Sanderson has)
Si is taking care of the correct symbol displaying now :)
And also, there's a new file at the beginning of the 'translation files' thread, which has some new words, and also will help Olsinho to display it correctly

Fabrizio Gatti
08-23-2007, 03:01 PM
Nicely noticed Dimitrije! :)
It's missing :s I'm not sure whether I accidentally erased it or what..
Everyone should write down the word(s) for 'Total Bet' some lines under the end of their file, so that I can put it where it belongs ;)

Well, first post updated...
It should now include Serbian, Swedish and Turkish latest additions, and display every character correctly. :)
The ones that didn't add lines 509 to 543 yet, will see a '?' in those words :)
And Burak, I'm going to need a turkish translation for 'total bet', it seems it wasn't on the file, I think it's my fault :redface:

So far, there's nothing wrong with displaying Turkish characters. But I have some feedback
->> Player creation screen don't accept Turkish characters. For example while writing "Şendemiroğlu" instead of "ş" and "ğ" appears strange characters.. Is it possible to fix it?
->> I think the game has an optimization problem on my system (3 GHz Intel P4 HT, 1GB RAM) It uses my 75% of processor :blimey: And creation of players, database etc.. takes 8 minutes :blimey: I hope it got fixed in further versions
->> The news section is a bit small for displaying news completely. Is there a way to enlarge it?
now i'm playing game if i see more probs i'll write them here
and... here's the latest Turkish translation! Included the "total bet" thing and fixed some words! Ready for converting to blf.
Dimitrije

Added a new blf with:
-Raknet and Dimitrije's corrections
-Hungarian file (up to line 508)
-Romanian file (line 508)
-Italian file (line 508)
Everyone, the latest file is at translation files thread, goes until line 543 :D
If it says 542, do it anyway, and I'll ask you the missing word later :D
