I played Need for speed the other day, and i must say i enjoyed it loads, top bombing. Got me souped up 106, flying round in it, i feel a right chav :D

And i recently got a game called Gitaroo man, you shud look it up, as its almost impossible to explain unless you sit down and really think about it seriously for a while :mrgreen:

I must admit.. having now played FIFA 2005 (finally replaced my stolen PS2), I'm not that impressed with it.

Your players always seem slower than CPU, regardless of stats... the transfer system is slow (why does the sort function reset every time you change league/team? grrr), the first touch system is kinda naff unless you've got highly skilled players, and you can't slow down the the power bar (unless I'm missing something?).

Shooting also seems a little too touchy, and when will they let you really curl a shot from open play?

So what's the big difference between PES and FIFA? My next PS2 game will prolly be Splinter Cell but I'm game for a better footie than FIFA if someone can sell it to me...

In PES it is always unexpected as to what you are going to do but in Fifa, if someone closes you down even from about 10 yards, it is inevetible that you will be tackled

but to be honest even though pes' movement may not be as realistic i prefere the way it moves

It depends what flicks your switch though. I used to be big on Championship Manager, but now prefer FIFAesque games. I'd still love to see a game fully combine the best details of both.

Ive always thought LMA was the poorest manager game ever. All the times Ive told my players what to do, they do the opposite. Turn the direct play slider up to full, the back 4 pass it around themselves for 20 minutes, hows that work??

i think that the main thing about the free kicks is that on fifa you feel as if the computer is helping you with all these bars it gives you
were as on pes there is only a power bar =D>

You know... one of the best football games ever is Sensible Soccer. For pure gameplay it's still hard to beat.

yeah, ISS is really good except for the dribbling cos the ball goes in front of you and you can't control it

Thats why you have to take your finger off the sprint button to get the ball closer to your feet, more realistic that way,. just like proper football

in fifa its much easier to score outside the penalty area and freekicks are really bad in fifa
you have much more realistic movements in pes and the opponents can be very surprising

The best game is gta san andreas, then need 4 speed underground 2 and pro evulotion soccer 4. And i think the worst game is Prince of Persia (i never liked), then fifa (because it didn't "grow" whit gameplay, fifa 2001 is almost the same as fifa 2001).
