Will we be able to buy a pet in NSS4.

This is how I see it should be:

You could buy from dogs to cats, canaries to hamsters, etc... Each would have different personalities (Aggressiveness, kindness, intelligence, etc...)

If you bought, let's say a canary, you would need to have bought before a bird cage size small/normal/big and have bought some bird food size small/normal/big from a new tab called 'Pets'. The bird food would need to be restocked after sometime depending on the size you buy.

If you had a dog (could vary from various types of dogs), for example, there could be news like:

'You were walking your dog around when your dog leach breaks and your dog bytes another man. The man says that if you don't pay him the medical bill and the 'mental' damage you made to him he would go to the press.'

Your options could be:

'pay him a certain amount of money' - you may pay him but he can still go to the press
'give him nothing' - he goes to the press
'threaten to let his dog attack him again if he goes to the press' - 90%of the times he will not go to the press

What do you think?

No, I think this takes it a step too far towards being a Sims™ installment. By all means have family, girlfriend/wife and kids, as they have a very direct effect on your life when you chose to be a sportsman. I don't think the same can be said of pets.

Okay. Gotcha. Now that I think about it you are right, being to 'simsy' could take the fun out of the game.

I say you be given the option of having a pet instead of a wife (that is if you cant be bothered with the married with kids deal). This would add the risk that if you dont take care of them then theyll attack (bite your ***) then youll be unavailable come matchday as you recover from a freak injury.

I c an see the reporter asingthe news right now:

'How did you get that injury?'
'It was Fluffy'..

A pet would be a bad influence for your game! As you may get sick.

i only basically noted "bad" feelings about it which should be instead the basically positive impact of the pet?
a raise in confidence or media? up to now they only seems to be trouble....

You're right. We shoudl think of the good stuff about a pet, for example, girlfriends should have a taste of animal and if we had that animal they could prefer us.

Maybe a dog can attract media attention! Just like the celebrity!

Please... no David Beckham!

The dog can help improve physical attributes. Strength and stamina ratings can potentially be increased through the daily struggles of taking the beast for a walk.
