The Unknown Player
Three minutes from time Chelsea were trailing Manchester United by a goal at the Bridge. To make things even worse, their 30$million pound signing, Andriy Shevchenko was tackled from the back by Mikael Silvestre. The Special One doesn’t have a clue for this. The usually ego Mourinho take a gamble by bringing in the unknown 20 year old player Dan Marino. The whole
home fans start booing the manager for taking such a gamble. It’s his first game since joining from Rangers FC. Even captain John Terry doesn’t start in a big match.

Well what done is done, he got his first touch and struggle to dribble past Ferdinand. A free kick for Chelsea, 35 yard from goal. Alex Ferguson is smiling only seconds and 3 points in the bag.Suddenly man of the hour, Dan Marino take a quick free kick and dribble past one, two and three defender. Take a thunderous shot past the helpless goalkeeper Van Der Sar. It’s suddenly tied at 1-1. What a relief for the home fans and the unbelievable Mourinho. It’s the final whistle. People start paying attention to the new kid on the block.

Dan Marino could not believe that Jose Mourinho pick him in such a big game. “I know that Manchester is a big club. I could not believe that I was pick instead of Kalou.” “ Even John (Terry) didn’t start in a big match like this.” Some fans says that he is the next superstar and even some says that he is just another wasted talent.

“I’m kind out of idea. I thought that it was over when Sheva was injured. Then looking at the bench, I thought that I give a chance for Dan (Marino) to play his first game,” says Mourinho. “Well Mourinho take a gamble and the gamble work, in bringing on Marino." "I heard of his impressing record at Rangers.” comment Alex Ferguson

Dan Marino record was superb at Ranger FC scoring a total of 66 goal in his two season there. Chelsea bought him for less than 1$million last year. He could be the next big thing added Peter Kenyon.

The news about Shevchenko injury was not known for this time. “ He get tackle badly there, maybe it takes 2-3 weeks ,” says the specialist.

The teams start to know him well. He also doing great in training. “

Dan The Man
He got a chance to play in the London derby; Chelsea vs. Arsenal. What another great performance adding his goal tally to 12 in 8 games. He inspired Chelsea to a 4-0 win over the arch rival. “ I thanked Drogba for giving me the chance to take the penalty although he would get another goal (Drogba scored one).”
Arsene Wenger was left fuming after a brawl with Jose Mourinho in the last minute “He(Mourinho) should check the hospital if there are any empty seats!. How can a manager like him be here. This is England not Portugal,”
Mourinho has left the place for any further comment.

Sponsorship start Check-in
Dan Marino just sign a boot sponsorship with Lotto. “It's and honour to be sponsoring a star in the making.” Petr Cech was also there to introduced the new Lotto Zhero. The boot will be in stores starting 6 September.

King of the stage yet the world
Spain national coach has made a statement for Dan Marino to be joining the Spain national team next training in Madrid. “He is doing great for this opportunities, and the full squad will be released tomorrow,”

In England though, Chelsea are looking great for another English Premiership after the 9-1 win over Wigan Athletic. “Job well done here. Looking forward on the next training camp. This is a dream of everyone to represent their country in the big stage.”

Jose Mourinho was the happiest man “This is looking great for another trophy. Shevchenko will be available in the next match.” “They are the champion this year, I assure you.” comment Paul Jewell on his side beating(Chelsea).

Trouble in Paradise
After the latest statement make by Jose Mourinho on Dan Marino, Marino is getting mad at the manager. “ Wait, firstly I am not selected in the last three game. Next thing is he want me to play in the middle. Thanks Sheva, thanks .,” (leaves the pitch)

Shevchenko meanwhile was failing to score in the last three game. “The goal will come (on Shevchenko) , we need experienced not talent only. He can play in the middle if he wants,” says Mourinho.

It is looking bad for Chelsea as they prepared for the next Champions League clash against F.C. Porto. The fights start when Marino was dropped on the bench for a place of Shevchenko. Even some fans questioning why Shevchenko was pick instead of on form Marino.

Will there be peace between the two of them?

A real lesson
Things are looking worse for Chelsea who was down 3-0 in the first half. marino was looking the alternative to change things around but instead Jose Mourinho subs Arjen Robben in and things get from bad to worse. They were 6-1 down as early as 15minutes of the second half. Marino was nowhere to comment on this.

Spain 3-0 Wales

Not everything looking bad for Marino though as he helped his national team beating Wales in the World Cup qualifier. Spain with a strong side held Wales until 33rd minutes when Mista open the scoring. Marino then score in the 42th and 76 minutes to ensure that Spain got the victory.

The mind of a play maker

The whole London was waiting as the kickoff match between Chelsea and Everton at Stamford Bridge. Well the lineup sure amazed everyone as Marino name was mention in the first 11. How can that be after what just happened in midweek between Mourinho and Marino.

The squad enters the field and saw Marino with Shevchenko in the same 11. What’s weirder is that Drogba is in the same 11. Is Jose Mourinho shifting the formation to old style 4-3-3? As the kickoff just a few second, marino was seen behind Shevchenko and Drogba.

The game start and the formation were seen clearly, Mourinho is shifting Maranesi to the left midfield and still use the 4-4-2 formation. Can the new-deployed midfielder get a chance to score? The first chance gone to Chelsea with Drogba missing wide.

In the halftime the score sheet was still 0-0. The start of the second half saw what Dan Marino was really capable of, a through pass from Lampard saw Marino with the goalkeeper to beat. Instead of shooting, he takes the second option to pass to Ballack that was free all the time. Scored… 1-0 up and Chelsea are looking to add to that. Dan Marino was substitute in the 74th minutes.

The game end at 1-0 to Chelsea, they are just six points behind leader Liverpool who win earlier. Marino later was seen not satisfied with Mourinho decision but at least he got his first assist as a midfielder.

Bremen scare
Dan Marino was again seen playing as a left sided midfielder. He assisted two goals each from Drogba. Bremen scored the earlier goal that saw Chelsea behind until Drogba head Chelsea ahead for the second goal in the 61st minutes. Dan Marino twisted his ankle in the dying minutes

“I think I’m kinda used of playing in the left sided. I started to assist rather than scoring. There’s nothing serious with my leg though.” Ask if there is anything between him and Mourinho, he silenced his mouth. Jose Mourinho was later interview and was question over his decision to deploy Marino to the midfielder “I don’t think it’s a mistake, do you think it is? You can only get the answer when he start (Marino) scoring.”

For Bremen, they still got a chance to qualify if they win the next match against Porto. Meanwhile Porto match between Celta Vigo was delayed because of thick snow.

Things get serious

Last week saw another ending of a fine chapter, the fight between players and manager will always be remember. The multi-millionaire Chelsea seems to be losing the service of their striker (now midfield), Dan Marino. One’s who hail as the next big thing was finding it tough in England.

“I know that it’s getting tougher to get on, but I have to face it sooner or later,” says Dan Marino when asks about his recent fight. “Only the manager do the decision on the pitch, the players can do it if we trust the manager. It’s not about individual, it’s about the whole team. If this keep going, I may as well effect the team spirits.

“He is a truly great kid, but we must know that there are many years to come. He is still young for this kind of stage,” comment Jose Mourinho. “Maybe he needs to learn from what just happen. Nobody’s perfect.” add the manager.

“Sometimes, I do miss my family and friends in Spain. Maybe one day I will return home. But for now, I'm up for the challenge here.” says Marino on the last question. The fans also hope that Marino will stay at Chelsea to help in gaining the league title. The final words are up to the board of Chelsea whether Dan Marino or the manager, Jose Mourinho leaves.

So what was your player name again? Marino or Maranesi?

This is the second time Chelsea failed to progress againts Liverpool. They also haven't won the competition yet. "I was dejected after seeing the last shot hit the post again. We have to keep focus on the Premier League after this," Maranesi on the match.

The usually ego Mourinho take a gamble by bringing in the unknown 20 year old player Dan Marino.

It seems that Dan "Maranesi" Marino's career has been brought to an abrupt halt after he was discovered using a leaked code. The NSS equivalent of having your legs broken.
