Ok, admittedly I don't know much about soccer but I am a sports nut, NA Football and Hockey are passions of mine. I know other sports a little(soccer being one of them) but maybe not enough.

In other sports sim games there are leaders boards goals/assists and the like...am I missing that in NSS2?

And while I am on the subject, any thoughts of naming the other players on our team...chemistry(good and bad) would be fun to see in the game, a teams star player is promoted off your team and then you're elevated to a rival of that team...bad blood and camaraderie would give a little more depth. Chasing the goal leader game in and game out only to overtake him on the last game(or be beat'en by someone) would be lovely.

Again, I direct you to the first line of this post, I don't know the ins'n'outs of soccer, maybe it ISN'T as much of a team sport as I had thought(hoped), so I reserve the right to call myself a dummy...

Thanks for yer time!

Football is very much a team sport and leaderboards are used a lot in real life. I made the decision not to include player names in NSS2 for two reasons. 1 it would mean updating all the squads every 6 months which is a hell of a lot of work (if you wanted the real life names in the game). And 2 the save games would be enormous and take ages to load/save, not to mention massively increasing the download size.

I appreciate that the player names would not have to be the same as in real life, but i'd still need to implement transfers from club to club and re-write the match engine. We're talking massive workload and i'd prefer the real life names if i did implement it. Still, i haven't ruled out these kind of major changes for the future, and when i start work on NSS3 i'll think about the possibility.

Yeah, I know the size of the files and the hassles involved would be massive but I for one would handsomely pay for all that. I play the Front Office Football series as well as the Fast Break College Basketball and the saves in both of them can get pretty huge if you take all the options in there.

Currently I'm waiting on Riz over at Eastside Hockey to release their Francise Edition...hockey is where my heart is but I am really starting to like soccer now! Thanks, another sport I can't just pass up when the remote finds it!!!

nss isn't a team game because it's not that kind of game it's a game about one player getting better older and alot richer and popular

If thats all you should be getting out of it then it SHOULD have been based in professional bowling or golf NOT in a team sport.

NO star plays the game by him(or her)self! Gretzky couldn't have done what he did in Hockey without Grant Furh in net and Jarri Kurri at his side...let alone a Mark Messier and Marty McSorly having his back.

True enough, when its all said and done, in the Hall of Fame none of those players will be listed with "The Great One" but, if you are a TRUE fan of the sport, you know he didn't do it by himself!

Maybe a footballer could...but wait, doesn't the attacker get a pass from someone before he blisters it into the goal...isn't there a netminder at HIS end of the tilt?

Oh well, I didn't play NSS more than 10-20 hours and I shelved it...maybe it is the MEMEMEMEMEME attitude that I got bored with, I don't like golf or bowling either...oh well.

Cheers and have a great day!

if you want games like that its fifa or championship manager you want this is trying from a different perspective instead of being another run of the mill game

Instead of doing the whole team the game is fixed on you which is just one person you have team-mates which play an important role in the game but i dont think the inclusion of famous names etc would benefit the game.
