Not sure if this would be possible, but are there any plans to work NSS over a LAN with 2 or 3 people - think it would make the game lots more popular! May take a while to get through time, but worth it.

Si thought about making the game multiplayer, and has even posted some screenshot of possible game lobbies, but it's still to be known whether this will be possible at the first NSS4 releases, or if Si will decide to take that way at the same time than improving to 3D ;)

For some info on this, you might check the New Star Blog (http://www.newstarsoccer.com/blog.html)

Yeah, the netplay stuff is on the back burner at the moment. I'll give it some more thought when the match engine is built.

You should considering making it an MMO like Ulitmate baseball online sometime down the line

I think he was meaning playing 2 or 3 careers jointly at the same time, a bit like FM multiplayer (I think? I've never actually played it online) rather than general online play. I can imagine that would be good fun, but unless you were all in the same team, or at least the same league, it would be just like playing alone.

Very hard to code I imagine as well.

How do you want to play a game multyplayer?

Maybe if u play it as a multiplayer game, you should change as a first person shooter view. It's will be more realistic.

Bad idea - with the lack of peripheral vision, you never have any idea of whats going on, it totally changes the game mechanic for the worse, and it's not really football anymore. IOS has tried this for a while, and while I like the concept of that, to call what happens in an IOS game football is not really accurate....

You'd need one of those TrackIR devices that enable you to change your view by turning your head to play a 1st person football game. Otherwise it'd be too difficult to get the immediate situational awareness. It's hard enough on PES using the 'player' camera, which is fixed just behind the player you control. Perhaps something like that with the addition of a button for looking left and right would be feasible, but I still think a bit too hard.

Is that just playing games, or can you make it possible to play a career with your mate? Cause that'd be lovely :}

it would be great if it was masively multiplayer online. where 100s of people could play on a lan. a game this small should be no problem to handle 11 vs 11 online. i played grand theft auto san andreas online and that can handle 100 players online at the same time. also i think there should be an option for someone to take controll of a club online and choose what human players he or she wants to field. should be possible

For an online to be possible is a great mileage ahead!

Those idea of making a first person soccer game is rather..Unique.. But it is actually making the game less or no fun at all.. An uncool control and camera problem is predicted in games like these..

About the idea on making the mmo is fantastic! Playing together with people all around the world sounds cool.. Hope that do exist in the future version of nss.

I think the multiplayer is kinda bad.
When you play games like this, people will dribble instead of passing to you when he is holding the ball.
Which make people wait at the goal post.

Maybe if Si could add a system that a defender, midfielder, attacker could only, when the player doesn't have the ball, could only hang around his position.
