Just wondering what the difference is between the two, I have NSS3 and was wondering whether they were the same, but SS was updated, or different.
thanks.
In NSS3 you get to play as just one player. It's basically a single person career simulator.
SS is more like Sensible Soccer etc, where you get to control the whole team. Best thing to do is download SS and find out :)

Actually I guess using the search could prove useful, but here it is:
In NSS you are a player, and have to improve your career, while in SS, you perform as an entire team, and can play in a lot of ways, kinda like a traditional football game :)
Maybe a quick visit to www.newstargames.com (http://www.newstargames.com) can give info on some other features :D

You mean in SS, there is none that i know of....,( stand to be corrected)
He wasn't asking a question, he was saying there are no logos in SS...

Sorry
In NSS3,its easy to get freekicks and penalties, but in SS, players hardly make mistakes while slide tackling

The other main difference (other than those mentioned) is that you can play another human opponent. This is what makes the game in my opinion. Human opposition is more unpredictable than the (still excellent) computer controlled players. It is also what will keep you coming back for more, long after the career modes have been finished.
I have both & they are sufficiently different to justify a purchase, esp. since there was a discount code floating around here.

So is there a single player SS and a multiplayer SS? And you have to buy both or one or the other? Sorry Rich PG you confused me a little.

You can play it hot seat ;)
And for those of you who thought "hot seat? Has Fab forgotten his medication again?", you'd be right, as according to wiki (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hotseat_%28multiplayer_mode%29)... SS isn't a hotseat game :P
I think two can play at once though, on the same PC.

Almost got it right... For a minute you would think I was British, then that I was crazy, and then I don't know :P

Ok thank you for clearing that up. One question and please don't shout at me....but how hard would it be to implement online play? Cos to me that would make this game a killer.

I'll let si answer that one ;)
I believe it's on his Want list, but not right inmediately on his Do list, as it's the kind of stuff that could delay NSS4
SS did have an online mode early on, but unfortunately there were too many issues to get it working before Si wanted to release, so it was binned.
I know for sure that he has aspirations to produce an NSS Online of some sort, so fingers crossed!
