ARe you now gunna bring a different sports game out. I think that the survey that was carried out suggested Tennis, allthough there are a few tennis games where you go through the career so it wouln't be as original as nss.

Im a bit unsure whether I've contributed to the game. I was almost done with a players update for NSS3 when a thunderstorm fried almost all hardware I own and Im currently working on the translation file for NSS (and SS?)

You mean the files from the 'traslators needed apply within' tread?? Those are for SS, and if you contributed one translation you've contributed to SS, and are on the translators list :) I'll check out and see if I can see you, and I will tell you ;)

Are you using the key on the same pc that you got the fingerprint from? And using the same name i sent with the key?

Si I have continuous problems with training. I can succesfully train once a week, but during the second training it just freezes and is enable to charge the game. I really don´t know what to do. Also, I think the game runs a little bit slowly in the menu where standings are shown and all that stuff. What can I do or is it a common error?

By the way, I forgot to say that the game is great. Great work Si.

Spanish translation revised. It was almost perfect. Just added a couple of new lines, and changed another couple of words. New spanish translation added. Now it's perfect! :D

Small bugs (in my opinion):

-In the load replays menu there are a couple of words that are not in the english file, so cannot be translated. These are page (página) and delete (borrar).

-Cursor is slow when using the joypad in the team screen and the training screen. In the rest of the game it's ok. And using the mouse works fine in all the game.

-The most important: a couple of times it happened to me that there were 2 keepers in the team, one in his position, and the other as a defender. When trying to change the second one with another player it was impossible.

Is this a place where we can post the bugs? I've already got one which made my screen go black when I tried to train Wayne Rooney's dribbling, and now it goes black whenever I start SS.

And an access error when changing tactics. :)

I had the same black screen bug after finishing a game. I normally press lob button multiple times to get back to main screen & it just went black. Never had this in NSS3.

SS wouldn't reload so I reinstalled & it's ok again so far.

More bugs:

-Everytime I play the second match in a cup i get the 2 keepers error. I've found what happens. The team screen shows the list of your players sorted by position in the second match. So first there are 2 keepers (or 3), then 7 defenders, 6 midfielders, 4 strikers...

-I've won cups, friendlies... and I don't get to unlock any image from the gallery.

I know whats wrong now.

The hardware id code is wrong so the name and code is wrong for my pc.

Another bug that wasn't mentioned:

I got to play with both teams with the same controls at once! It was really weird. This happened when I switched COM/Player 1 while choosing a team (I guess with a Quick Match, which is random)

Pre-match tactics in the league.

I think it might be okay in 800x600 - does all the other crashing people play the other resolution? It might be a problem in that particular resolution.

I managed a league match today, but in my second one I made no changes to anything and it simply went black again when the bar reached 100% against Middlesbrough.

Ok, i've fixed everything so far, except the crashing. I've tried training dribbling with Rooney but it works. I've tried switching players and that's ok. Can someone tell me how to cause a crash to happen everytime? Does it always crash when switching the same two players? If so, which players? Thanks. :)

Si, It happens for me quite regularly. Try pressing lob button fast at the end of a match or clicking twice with the mouse fast on the menus. Last time it just crashed as the game started and gave this error :-

RichPG, are you clicking on the continue button with Lob? (Or do you mean the change player button that skips menu's?)

It's the change player button skipping menu's, but now I try to replicate the crash... I can't.:wall:

Oh by the way, I play in 800x600 all the time so it's not a resolution issue.

And let me know what happened when the game crashed and what it says in the error log.

Si, I installed that version but...

Try this - take a goal kick & angle it to the side and tap kick. Then go and pick the ball up. After the free kick awards I get a bad crash. Checked the error log, but it just says:-

Starting game loop...

Don't know if this helps for the other bug, but it's a similar crash.;)

You mean the free kick that is awarded to the rival team because of you touching the ball before anyone else?? just to help things get clear to Si :)

Yes, I posted previously that the kick couldn't be taken. In the release version & the test version it crashes. One time I had to pull the plug on the PC, Ctrl Alt Del wouldn't even save the crash or the power button.

Alright that's what I thought mate :)
BTW, some PC's can be turned off by keeping pressed the power button for about 5 secs, those react by cutting the power, so you don't have to mess with plugs. Tough is a kinda rough switch off, probably the same that pulling pull off :)

And always make sure you leave a minimum of 20 secs after turning off your Pc to turn it on again, quick off/on is a big reason for a lot burned power units :)

Well, i've managed to get some crashes to occur on my PC. It only happened with the secure version which suggests that the security software doesn't like it retrieving resources from the Data.Pak file. I've reduced the security measures and so far i've not had any problems. Please install this version over the old one and let me know how it goes. :)

It's a bit more stable, but I still crashed it :redface:

If you take a goal kick & tap shoot & run to the ball (don't press anything) keeper picks up the ball *check Laws - I think this should be a free kick*. No free kick is given. If it doesn't clear the area it should be retaken.

If you do the same but try & kick the ball, a free kick is given. Before the free kick is taken, it crashes - not as heavily as before but still quits programme. Not sure about direct/indirect free kick as above.

I think I have a hidden talent as a beta tester:lol: , or maybe I'm just rubbish at footy games!

The menus could indeed be more helpful. I mean, that you know where to click and when. Also, I tried to play a league to unlock the last portraits, but I crashed on match 6 :( Why is there no save option anyway? (Or is there?)

And with the matches being relatively long (I mean, to complete a league, you got to have some free hours) I did not gave it a second try yet. By every time the game crashes, or does not save my progression, I get discouraged more and more to play it a next time :(

If this is of any help, whenever you exit the league screen, the game automatically saves current league :)

Yes I can easily switch players before a match but I just cant during.

I waited for a goalkick, clicked 'switch player'. It became 'ON', I clicked on a player. I noticed the * at his name. Then I clicked on the second player. Nothing happened.

I also noticed that a players name is: X. Xxxxx. When I click on switch player and then on a player, it changes to Xxxxx*..

Most of the time when I switch player during the match with space bar, it always select the player that I don't want.

Most of the time I to have the player selected that is closest to the ball, but apparently the system is not based on that?

btw, the crashing occured in the older version. No crashes so far in the new version. Only my collected portaits are gone, except for Buffon ;) I'm sorry about the saving-the-league. I didn't see it. Can you play multiple laugues and choose from them when you want to load a league? Would be great.

Hi Si i love Sensational Soccer, i was just wondering, and i have searched to see if this has been asked before. Are there any plans to have Transfers on SS? and also will there be a career mode where you can play continuously, get promoted/ relegated ect?
Love the gameplay on SS, im still hooked on NSS3, and NSS2 was great too. Cheers mate.

That's a fairly low spec, but its the graphics card which does most of the work. Any idea what card you have?

Maybe you can be experiencing a little slowing when you score and the stands go mad, that happened to me, but I guess it's the only part where you can get slow if you have an acceptable grapihc card ;)

I can't recreate this bug. No matter how lightly i tap the pass, shoot or lob button the keeper always kicks it too far for him to go and pick it up.

How are you kicking it so lightly and which kick button are you pressing?

When the keeper takes a kick (with the big green arrow), let all the opposing players clear the area, then move the arrow to the far left or far right. Tap the shoot button (quick) and run towards the ball, it should stay in the area.

If you don't press a button, the keeper will pick up the ball (no free kick - I think this is technically wrong). If you go to kick the ball a free kick is given. Before the free kick is taken the game crashes.;)

I really can't kick the ball short enough so that it stops inside the box. How you can kick it so lightly is baffling me. Are you using a joypad/stick or keyboard?

Can anyone else take a goalkick that stays inside the box?

I am using a MS Xbox360 controller, but I also have a MS Sidewinder USB pad which is the same.

BTW something that annoys me a little on the Xbox pad is that the shoulder buttons (not triggers) are too easy to hit accidentally and the game has these as replay buttons. Is there any way to reconfigure these buttons - it's the same for NSS too.

when i want to launch some things game is shutting down to windows. for example after selecting teams in Cup. i'm not sure hat it was before, but if yes- sry for saying the same :P

In the game, when I choose Finnish, there are Spanish (I guess), Estonian and Swedish. Could it be that he who translated it, he didn't do it 100% with the .dat file? Because there's no mistakes in Finnish .dat file..?

About translating, I'm translating NSS3 now, but why there's not such a thing that you could choose a language, or is there? Ooh, there's my name in the game :D:D

NSS3 is not 'translatable', so you don't get a translate option :)

I'll chekc the Finnish file for spanish translation, so I can tell Si which ones aren't working, probably you could do this better by telling which ones are not Finnish :)

And I can tell you there's plan to make future NSG applications translated :)

Ooh I like that last part.. :D. I made the translation better, there were some sentences missing in the languagefile, so I added those sentences and now there's 100% Finnish.
