Dear mom,

I've arrived in Slovakia. It very cold here and very grey. The people here are nice though and I've been to the club and my teammates seem fine too. I moved in with a teammates family here in the beginning. They are very nice and he has a cute sister (at my age).

The coach sent me into a stamina training because I couldnt run to save my day. 5 training sessions later and I was getting there.

First match saw us play at home against MSK Zilina. Would I get picked for the team? I sure hope I would.

Yes Sir! Number 9 and in front. What a promising start. The question is.. will I perform? Will I stand the pressure?

It seems I was very nervous. Didnt have my head on straight and hacked down the opponent in first second. Yellow card. What a start..
They score on blazing shot from left side. 0-1.
Halftime score: 0-1. My stats: 6 shots, 1 pass, 1 foul, 1 yellow. Rating 6. Not bad, eh?

We dominated 2nd half but just couldnt get it in. Some fine passing let to chances but it was beginning to look like an off-day.
Then suddenly we got a corner. First it was blocked, but it got shipped into the box again and out of nowhere I turned up and powerfully headed the ball into the net! 1-1 and 5 minutes to go!
End of game: 1-1. My stats: Goals: 1, shots: 10, passes: 9, fouls: 1, yellow: 1. Rating: 10! Woohoooo.

Hi Mom,

I had a punch-up with a teammate today. I tried to stand my ground and not be intimidated by him (just like Dad taught me) but it gave me a minor injury and I lost 1 point from my Both Feet ability. Sucks. Hopefully this aint the way of the future :(

Second match saw us going to Trnava.
A tough match with alot of tackles and freekicks.
Half time still 0-0. shots: 3, passes: 3, tackles won: 3, rating 7.
Baah got a yellow card for tackling from behind. Stupid ref should have worn glasses and he would have seen it was a clean tackle.
We scored to 1-0. Our midfielder scored after a great play.
Final score: 1-0. 6 shots, 7 passes, 4 tackles won, 2 fouls, 1 yellow and a rating of 8. Not so bad but I fear its getting harder to perform well.

3rh match saw us going to Inter Bratislava.
After 34 minutes we were 1-0 up after some great play. Shortly after I got hacked down and injured. I got subbed :(
The physio's verdict: an achilles injury and I will be out for 2 weeks.
Seems like my injury helped me. First match after it, I went on and scored a hattrick :) Even got my first MoM. So far I'm happy :)

Things were going so well. We were leading the league and we were playing well. Then..I dont know.

I just had a bad day and I couldnt pass or shoot. We were down 0-2. I got angry.. frustrated.. you know? So.. well.. I became more agressive. Tackled harder. Kinda lost my head. In the end an opponent got tired of me and hacked me down. I got injured again. 6 weeks said the physio! Baah I hate it. The coach got mad. My team mates got mad. Everyone blaimed me for losing the match. Even the press. The started writing stuff about me that wasnt true.

I aint gay, right? Right, Mom? They say I am but.. I'm not. They even tested me for drugs. Why would they do that? Im a clean guy! I love chicks.. (Slobodan's sister is a 10'er btw).

I went to see the mates train. I still cant because of my injury. I didnt notice the cone and I tripped over it. It cost me a Control point :(.. Man what a sucky time this is. I miss home.

Hi Mom,

Weird thing. First match after my injury and I played like a god!
We had Trnava away and I was abit nervous because the team hasnt played that well while I was injured. So our big lead were down to 3 points.
But I had nothing to worry about.
Halftime score: 3-0, goal 1, shots 2, assists 1, passes 6, tackles won 1 and a rating of 10!. I think I just scored the best goal of my life. I will send you some videofootage later.

Oh my god. It got even better! I scored another beauty! I I even scored a hattrick. My cooperation with Stevko in front are working out very well!
Score: 5-0, goals 3, shots 6, assists 1, passes 10, tackles won 3, rating 10 and MoM!

Guess what mom? I just got a call from Cardozo.. you know.. the coach for the national team of Peru! He wanted to hear if I would like to come and play for Peru! Wooohoooo what a day!

He said he's seen me play a couple of times and like what he saw. I will be on the bench but hey, its the national team!!

Just found out who we are playing against.. Brazil! Ooooh myyyyy gooood!

Well I got the last 10 minutes of the game and it was pretty ok for me. We did lose 4-0 but I had 3 shots on goal and got a rating of 6. Not bad against Brazil eh? I hope you are proud of me. I know Dad would have been.

Had a really bad day the following match. I just couldnt get my mojo going. So I ended up with a rating of 2?! :(

Hi Mom,

I really looked forward to coming home for christmas, but it seems like the coach is relying on me playing during the holidays. Man it sucks. I miss home sooo much. Slobodan's sister found a boyfriend at school, so she's out of the picture. All girls I meet are only interested in money or cars or houses. Where in the world could I afford all those when I'm 17? Slobodan is a suberb friend though. He takes me out to places and to disco's (no I havent been drunk yet)..

I wonder if he is really gay..

I will write you after christmas. Its a bit crazy here at the moment with all these matches.

Hiya Mom,

Guess what? I just appeared on national slovakian tv! They wanted to do an interview with me and so I went on. Unfortunately my slovakian aint that good yet so all my team mates tease me for saying 'Your sister has lovely boobs' instead of 'I'm glad to be here'... what a bummer :( But hey, the press love me now :)

I've been playing okay recently. Alot of passes and I make more assists than goals. Unfortunately I have collected 5 yellow cards and have a league match ban.. I wish I wasnt so aggressive on the pitch.

I just got offered a sponsorshipdeal! New Balance want me to wear their boots! I got ALOT of money for it and I now have some silver-flashy boots. Neat, eh?

I got drafted for the national team again. This time in the starting 11. Woohoo.
We won 3-1. I had 1 goal, 9 shots, 2 assists and a rating of 10 and the MoM! Fantastic game.

Things are going fast here. I was offered another sponsorshipdeal. This time with sports clothing and from Asics! Woooo what a load of money.

I must be performing well. I just got a transfer contract offer! But its from a slovakian team and I wont leave unless it is from a major club abroad. My heart is here at Ruzomberok.

Well it seems I am popular because the offers are beginning to come in. Now Aves from the portugese Super Liga has offered me a contract. I will reject though, because I feel I will develop more here. Besides, its important to win this league aswell.

Hi Mom,

Today is my birthday. Thank you so much for the presents and the pictures from home. It really helps.

I received a gift from a fan aswell. A Gordon Banks 1966 World Cup t-shirt. What a gift! I will surely try my best the next couple of matches!

And what a match. Away against Puchov and I score an amazing 5 goals! The league is looking good and I think I might be topscorer.

Just when I thought things couldnt get better, I just got offered another sponsorship deal. 7UP wants to sponsor me! Of course I took the deal. Who would say no to that kind of money?

We are getting near the end. I think I can be safe to say that we will win the league. amazing.

We are also in the cup final, so all in all it has been a great season.

I will write you some statistics after the season are over.

Cup final. We are playing against MSK Zilina. We won it 4-0 but I didnt score. Would have topped off a great season.

Season over. We won it! By 6 points. We had a few battles here at the end but we made it! I was made topscorer aswell!

Oh btw.. I went out with the mates one night and when I woke up, I saw a certificate saying I was now an official citizen of Paraguay. I hope you dont mind. Hard to take back really.

To top it all off, I got selected as the young player of the year. Hoouuuurrraaahhh!

I think I have to move club really. I dont get to play national team matches because I play in such a low league. But hey.. now CL comes..

Hiya Mom,

Its been a while since I last wrote you. Many things have happend lately, so I havent really had the time before now.

Our season have started well. We are 3 games in and won all 3. With us going into Champions League, we were excited to see which teams we would play against. And what a draw. We are in group with Shaktar Donetsk, PSV and Chelsea. Hopefully we will be able to win just a few games.

I've been out with a few girls, but they all have some weird interest and I end up getting rejected. I'm feeling kinda low right now, but hopefully I will still perform well on the pitch.

Perhaps I should take some of the pills I got offered the other day. Just to get my spirits up..

Well first CL match saw us draw with Shaktar.. **** game we lead with 2-0 until 5 minutes left. I expressed my feelings of the poor defensive performance but it just got me some angry team mates.

We are stil playing well. Winning matches. The sparetime are spent training. Funny thing about training though. I really want to train shooting and dribbling.. you know.. the fun stuff. But my coach keep telling me I can wait.. So now Im buff like Arnold, fast like a bee, but cant dribble or shoot.

I tried gambling a bit but it scared the heck out of me. I think I lost 300.000 in a heartbeat.. but still.. the excitement of it.. I need more..

Today we played Chelsea in the CL. It was a tight match but we won in the end 3-2! Fantastic result. The whole of Slovakia are celebrating. I laugh in the face of mister Mourinho!

Oh oh.. drugtest.. I hope the pills I took dont get detected.. Im scared Mom.. *sob*

Hello Mommy,

I dont think I could have asked for a better club. We are winning everything in the league and we keep upsetting the major clubs in CL. Today we played away against PSV and I scored a fantastic hattrick to win us the match 3-1.

I've bought my first house. Well make that 2. A city apartment and a luxus bungalow. You must come visit me soon. The bungalow is very nice allthough the slovakian beachfront aint much to look at.

I've bought a new car too. My dream car. Aston Martin DB9.. what a beaut. And you should see the chicks how they look at me when I drive by. hehe.. they want me.. and I know they want me. And they know that I know that they want me.

Oh.. and guess what. I've bought a whole apartment full of appliances. yup. tv, pc, toaster, a fridge, a stove, freezer, mixer etc... everything a woman could ask for. Me personally I dont know what to do with it all. I usually eat at restaurants.. you know.. flash off my new suits.. and the car of course.

The training is going well. I still havent trained any special skills, but apparently I dont need any. Im doing quite alright without. I've played 12 matches and scored 19 goals. That includes 5 in CL.

Hi,

Its been a long time since I last wrote you. There isnt much new to tell really. We are cruising in the league and still making upsets in the CL.

We met Chelsea away and I feared we would be slaughtered when Lampard gave Chelsea a 1-0 lead after 11 minutes. But we fought back and I made the most brilliant pass ever made which lead to an assist to me and I scored with a powerful header. From there we went on to win 4-2 with me scoring all 4.

Things arent all good though. Im beginning to hate my coach. For some reason he has begun to play me on the left side in a 3 man attack. Im no good out there. My crosses suck and I can shoot form way out. If it doesnt change soon, I might consider transferring to another club.

Next time someone needs my help for something, I will refuse. I helped Roland moving and the ******* dropped a couch on my foot so I lost a Set Pieces ability. Great when I havent got that many to begin with. The coach has even made me Freekick taker and Ive scored 2 goals on that already. That might have gone down the drain now. Typical. stupid slovakian.. :(

The training is going well. The coach wants me to train a special ability, but Im not sure shooting is the best one right now. What do you think? Let me know, eh?

Hi Mom,

It's been awhile I know.

I've been so busy with my new training, that I keep forgetting to write you. My Set Pieces training is going so well. Its really a piece of cake allthough I find some of it a bit difficult.

This week we made it through to the Quarter Finals in the CL. We just had to beat Bayer Leverkusen first. It was an easy thing with a 2-0 win at home and a 3-3 draw away.

I soooo wanted to be home for xhristmas but something has taken my attention. No its not a guy, I've told you 1000 times. I'm NOT gay!.

I've actually met a woman. She's so nice! You'd love her, I'm sure!

You probably want to know what she looks like and how we met etc. Well its a long story and to make it short, she digged my Aston Martin DB9. I found her looking at it when it was parked in the town square and I simply asked her out on a date. We've been together ever since.

I will try and find a picture of her. She is large (whatever that means), got black hair, darkly tanned skin and the bluest eyes I've ever seen.

Happy birthday to me. 19 years old. So sad you couldn't be here. I wanted you to meet Daniella.

I've had the greatest day so far. My best friend gave me a signed Man Utd ball from 1999. Fantastic gift!

I guess you want to know how everything else is going..

We cruised the CL Quarter Finals against Athletico Madrid with a sweet 1-0 win away and a steady 3-1 win at home. That Torres fella is a dangerous dude. He sliced me down 3 times. Luckily my mate paid my revenge and sliced HIM down, injuring him.. (evil laughter here)

The training is going well. So well that Im almost finished. Taking your suggestions last time into considerations, I've decided to try out dribbling when I'm finished with Set Pieces. I do feel abit sluggish out on the pitch sometimes.

Oh I almost forgot. I was in the newspaper the other day! No, I wasnt caught with a guy in a restroom! How many times must I tell you - Im not gay!

No, I made a donation (dont ask me how much) and everybody was so happy. Except the girlfriend. She feels I should spend the money on her.

Last thing.. It seems clubs are beginning to notice me. I got transfer offers from 3 clubs (Racing Santander, Chievo and Bologna) and I wasnt even on the transfer list. I turned them down though. I feel things are going so well here.

Hiya Mommy,

Things has been soo busy here. I havent really had the time to write.

I guess that with success comes hard work.

I finished my Set Pieces training with excellence and started the Dribbling. It went along smoothly until I discovered I had to face our defenders in some of them. Goddamn that can **** me off.

Daniella is fine. No, no babies yet. We havent really talked about it yet. I feel Im too young still, so dont push me, ok?

Everything is going well. We own the league and the cup even though it seems we are the team everyone wants to beat.

CL is like a dream so far. We met Paris SG in the semis and I scored an absolute beaut when we played them at home. We won 1-0 away and had a busy night at home with us up 1-0 and then getting a red card. Luckily I stepped up and secured us the match 3-2.

Yesterday I got offered a new sponsorship deal. Umbro wanted to sponsor me with sports clothing. How could I say no to such a deal? 7.950.000 million for the next 3 years. I just might end up buying this whole freking country :-)

Thanks for the invite to sisters wedding. I will make sure I get home in time. Driving in an Aston Martin DB9 can make pigs fly you know :-)

Hi Mom,

Im so sad! I cannot make it to sisters wedding! No, I havent run off with a guy! I'm still not gay!

It's even worse. I crashed trying to reach home. No, I wasnt speeding.. that much. How in the world could I know that when you reach 280km/h you can loose control over the car? Luckily nothing serious happend to either of us (only lost 1 Both Feet ability point) , but the car got wrecked pretty bad.

It was even in the media so everyone is pretty upset with me for driving that reckless.

I think that influenced me alot. I trained like a madman so I ended up missing the CL final?!? The coach said I had to little energy. That b a s t a r d.

We still won the CL final though. We s c r a p e d through with a 2-1 win over Newcastle.

I'm beginning to hate my coach. For some reason he started playing me on the left attack. A place I cant play. How in the world can one score from out there? I told him I hated that position but that just brought me more trouble. I even played some really poor games. It amazes me that old geezer cant see its all wrong.

I hate this.

Some good news though. We played in the cup final. I got MoM with 2 goals and an assist. We won a safe 4-0.

Thats a treble. Amazing :-)

Next month Peru is playing away against Colombia. I hope I get picked because my form has been good lately and the training even better.

Hi,

Before you say anything, let me apologise for writing so little. I really have been busy with everything and at the end of the season, everybody gets all worked up and time really flies by.

Do you remember I told you I somehow got to be a citizen of Paraguay? Well it turned out that the certificate was fake. Some jerk in a local bar had played me like the fool I am. Here was I sitting and waiting for the chance to play for Paraguay when I all the time could play for Peru.. Goddamn.. I'm gonna cut of that guy's nuts the next time I see him.

This leads me on to the next thing. I told you last time I wrote that I was anxious to see whether I was going to be picked for Peru's next match or not. Well during June I got a call from the head coach, Franco Navarro. He told me he had been following my career for a while and wanted to hear if I would like to come and train with the Peruvian National Team. He had of course been sad to hear that I became a Paraguayan citizen but was very pleased that I was back for Peru. He couldnt guarantee me a place on the team right away, but this way I could learn from the others and get adjusted to it all again.

Man was I excited ! And sooooo proud!

Did I go? Yes of course! Daniella wasnt too happy 'cause she had arranged a whole bunch of stuff.. Museums, flower-exhibits and stuff.. Lucky I dodged that one, eh?

But I went and they were all SO nice to me. One of the guys, Valdez (striker like me) showed me some moves and taught me how read the game better. All in all it was a brilliant trip, so I wasnt really prepared for the next thing.

Apparently I had made such a good impression that I got selected for a place in the starting lineup!! What a surprise! I almost kissed.. I mean hugged Navarro..

So we went to Colombia for the match against them. The tempo is quite different than I'm used to, but I did ok.

We went on to win it by 3-0. I managed to score 1 goal and made an assist. Fantastic debut!

The league came to a end with us winning it comfortably. I was awarded Superleague Young Player of the Year. Amazing accomplishment and everybody congratulated me. I feel so proud now!

I decided here at the last minute to request a transfer. I thought it might be the best time, if any. I've won what I could here so I needed some new challenges.

I thought it would be easy, but the transfer offers came pilling on so hard that I kinda lost track of it. Here's a list of the clubs that wanted me:

liverno, fulham, middlesbrough, villarreal, empoli, siena, reading, parma, everton, real sociedad, vicenza, bari, manchester city, sevilla, racing santander, lazio, real betis, racing santander, lazio, ipswich town, palermo, hellas verona, racing santander, sevilla..

I was about to give up when the golden offer came. The club of my dreams. The club I've been following since I were little.

None other than Manchester united offered me a contract. I was ecstatic! I was.. numb, dumbstruck and paralized.

I can only say that I accepted their offer and are looking forward to arrive at the club and say hi to my new team mates.

Hi mom,

It's been ages since I've written you. I've been busy with lots of things and you know how it is - one day takes another and before you know it, a year has gone by.

Sorry if this letter is a brief one - the last 6-7 months have been a blur and I cannot remember everything in detail.

I had my first match for Man Utd against Wigan at home. I was a bit nervous because I wasn't sure I would get picked. Luckily I was. Together with Saha we formed the deadly duo. I wonder where Wayne went... ?

It wasnt the best start. It was actually awful. I had a rating of 4 after first half. I never imagined the level of play to be this fast. Even though I'm one of the fastest on the team, I still struggled to keep up. The 2nd half was a bit better. I made a 20yarder pass to Saha, who neatly scored. Unfortunately we played a disappointing 1-1 and I ended up with a rating of 6. At the end I was played left attack. Grr I had hoped this wouldnt happen here too :(

Don't be alarmed but apparently someone didnt like my move to Man Utd. I started getting some weird hatemail, stating I was a traitor and a gloryhunter. I hope it doesn't get any further than this. I feel a bit scared to be honest.

I finished my training and was recommended to start on passing. I was eager to perform well, too eager apparently, because I accidently tripped over a cone and knocked my head into the groundl. It cost me a heading ability. I'm alright though.

The 2nd match was away against Arsenal of all teams. I've never run so much in my life. Oh my god those players are good! First half saw us going 0-0 with a respectable 7 to me. Shortly into the second half they scored a goal, even though we had all the play. Then I had my chance. With a powerful header I put us up 1-1. I even had a one on one with the keeper 1 minute before end, but my nerves failed me and I missed by a mile. Tough luck :(

I have to go. Its getting late and I need to get up early.

Hi mom,

How about that? 2 month has gone by and I'm writing to you already! If I keep this up, you'll probably start hating these letters. haha joke.

The latest news on my footie career is that we are doing well in the league. I am a constant starter besides both Wayne and Saha. We really kick ***, pardon my french.

I also got picked for national duty against Chile. I got a knock in the first half but I kept on going. I even scored to 1-0! I eventually got subbed, but we won 4-1. Luckily my injury was only a minor one, so I would be fit for the next match.

Yesterday I found out that one of my teammates had a drinking problem (no, I won't name any names). I thought long and hard about what to do. I even talked to Daniella about it. In the end I confronted him, but he told me to mind my own business. I was saddened that I couldn't help him and now I fear for him. What to do, what to do?

I guess it all put an influence on my play, because I started getting slick knocks in training. No I didn't fall over another cone. I.. well.. I kicked a waterbottle because I couldn't pass the damn ball. It cost me a set piece point. Then at another training session I fell over because my shoelaces wasnt tied probably. That cost me a shooting ability. Sometimes I really hate training.

I also have some good news. Daniella was asked to feature in a well-known womanss magazine with some stylish pictures. No it is not porn! Don't you worry. You should see the pictures. They are really great. My only concern are the looks all the lads are giving her now. They better keep there hands to themselves or I'll...

I don't know really. I guess I was so focused on playing, that I didn't think of renewing the contract. Money isn't everything ;-)

Hi mom,

This is going to be a short letter. I just wanted to let you know how things are and keep you up to date.

The league is going well. We are really cruising and I'm scoring and passing left and right. I guess that made me a target to those anti Doping fellows because they came twice during the last month and tested me. They found nothing, so don't you worry. The source of my wellbeing is not drugs but a simple thing like my family.

I hope I can make it home for christmas, but the season will continue through the holidays, so don't bet on it.

My sponsors made a strange proposal. They wanted to put my face on clothing. I couldn't see the harm in that - guess it would bring in loads of cash too. But I should have asked more about it before I accepted. I'm almost too embarrassed to tell you.... well... its on underwear. Yup thats right. My name on panties and shorts. Go figure but it sells well. I can only imagine what our opponents fans are using it to.

Thats it for now. As I said I will hopefully be home for christmas.

Hi mom,

Merry christmas and a happy new year. I hope you all recieved the presents I sent. I am so sorry that I couldn't share the holidays with you.

The years start has seen all the major clubs sending transfer offers to me. Roma, Real Zaragoza, Blackburn, Sevilla, Catania, Palermo, Real Zaragoza and Man City just to name a few. I guess my performance in the league and the cup hasn't gone unnoticed. I turned them all down though. Being in my favorite club is all I want.

The other day I bought Daniella a new sportscar. Yes I know they are dangerous, but she begged me for months for a new one, so well I bought her one. I just hope she can handle it.

I guess all the money in the bank suddenly were too much to me, because I started visiting the casino with some friends. At the beginning it was only small amounts and all about the fun of it. But it soon became larger and larger amounts and I simply couldn't handle it. I lost ALOT of money. I am really ashamed. Daniella is also very angry with me. So angry that she's threathend to leave me if I don't clean up. Its just hard when the addiction is sooooo high.. its tempting.. I know you want to be reassured that I'm ok. Well I am. Its one day at a time and I hope I've left it all behind me. My teammates has also been very supportive.

Unfortunately not all people has forgotten about it. My picture was in the newspaper 4 days ago. I was caught gambling. My boss is very angry and when we had a talk he made it clear I had no more chances. If I didn't clean up, I would get the sack. On top of that he fined me bigtime. Mom I'm so scared. I wish you were here.

I can't write anymore now.

Hi mom,

Just a quick word to let you know everything is okay. Things are going well, both on and off the pitch. We are doing well in the league, almost sure of winning it. This will be a good win considering the club missed CL last season.

Do you remember I told you about those hate-mails? Well they got alot worse, so I decided to teld the police about it all and how one particular guy started to threaten my family. They tracked the guy down and arrested him. Seemed like he was a russian Chelsea-fan, who also hated Ruzomberok. So my move to his most hated club, were apparently too much for him. Hopefully we can all rest safer now.

Oh and thank you for the fantastic present you sent me on my 20th birthday. A signed Tottenham ball from 1960. Even though I'm not that much of a Tottenham fan, I really appriciate it.

Daniella has also softened up. After I promised I wouldn't gamble anymore and went to some Anonymous Gamblers meetings, she really supported me. We even talk about trying out for a baby. Hooold on mom. Don't cry now. I just said we talked about it. We haven't planned it yet. So give it a rest.

Hiya,

Thanks for the letter. It really warmed my heart to hear you all are okay.

I just wanted to let you know that the season has ended. We celebrated with a a double - both the league and the cup. I even scored in the cup where we beat Tottenham 2-1.

The season wasn't all good. in February we played against our rivals Everton. I was so eager to play well that I recieved my first red card after 2 yellow ones. Did I deserve it? Depends on who you ask, but if you ask me - the buggers deserved the hacking down. So I guess it was alright. unfortunately it meant I had to spend some time on the stands and not on the pitch.

My sponsor had another bright idea. I had to get new boots. Some inventor-guy had developed a boot that should be light as a feather and very good when kicking a ball. I agreed to it, eyeing some more cash to my fortune. I went out and promoted the boots on a square in London, unfortunately I tripped on a wire and lost 1 point from shooting and 1 point from passing. That's the last time I go out and promote stuff.

I am still getting matches for Peru, now I'm a regular player besides Valdez. In the end we actually qualified for the final stages of the Continental Cup! We will play mighty Brazil in the semi final.

Hi mom!

I'm so ecstatic that I can't wait to tell you all the good news!

Remember I told you about the Continental Cup? Well we faced Brazil in the semi-final and boy what a tough match. Fortunately we did what needed to be done and crushed them 4-0. I scored 2 goals and got MoM. Fantastic feeling to be through to the final. And against Argentina - another giant. We were very nervous and as the match progressed, we knew it wouldn't be an easy game. We didnt have much play and Argentina were close to score several times. In the 2nd half we stood our ground better and began to fight for each ball. It resulted in a massive bombartment of Argentina's goal. Finally we managed to score 1-0. I scored of course! From there it was a piece of cake and we ended up winning 4-0. I scored the one goal but had 2 assists and became MoM once again. What a victory!

It was a perfect ending to my fantastic season. The best part comes last, you know.. I won 2 awards too. I became PL young player of the year and.. get this... World Player of the year! Amazing! I am so thrilled about this. It is a dream come true!

Now we are going to prepare for the next season. We've been drawn into CL together with Lazio, Sparta Praha and CSKA Sofia. Very exciting indeed. As for the preparations for the World Cup, we have some tough matches ahead of us. Hopefully we will qualify. That would be unbelievable!

I have more news for you next time. Now I will go warm up for training.

Hi mom

Finally I managed to get through to you. It's been over a year. Things have really been crazy since we last spoke. I know you have followed me on the news and on the internet and I can surely say that I am fine. A bit bruised and I lost 15 kg, but I am alright.

The kidnappers were luckily killed in the rescue mission, they deserve it those bastards.

I won't talk to much about how things are but just tell you that I'm fine and Daniella is fine. I will give you some details later on, on how the club handles this.
