I could do the Scottish leagues but I wouldn't be surprised if someones already got that one covered lol.
Nope, no takers for that for the recent updates Ross, so if you want it for NSS4 :D
Hopefully we'll have more news on this in the very near future.

Maybe I will try the nigerian league, (heared of eyimba,2 time african champions 2002-2003,2003-2004,)
Cheers Ross, I'll definitely pencil you in then :) I'd send you a sample database but it's outdated so Si needs to let me know what he wants in and what he doesn't.
Wonderdboss, cheers for being keen but believe me, a Nigerian league will be well down the list of priorities ;)

Does that mean African leagues wont appear???
No, not at all. But we'll be mainly focusing on getting the major European leagues done first, then the South American.
You have to remember it'll hardly be worth investing time and effort in a league for a country for which maybe had just 20 paying customers for NSS3.
Don't get me wrong though, that's not to say we don't want them in NSS4, but we might for example say work can only start on 'minor' leagues once certain specific major ones have been allocated.
Hope that makes sense :)

Ok Bofmar, work on leagues is somewhere near it's beginning, so feel free to start getting data as to create a NSS3 update, and JJU will give you the new fields that are going to be required for NSS4 :)
I can't grant you editing a league 'officially', as I'm not the coordinator of leagues, so you'll have to wait for him to get a 'real' answer :)
Hi bofmar, welcome to the forum :)
I'll pencil you in for Greece, and will make an annoucement soon regarding NSS4 data ;)

The list is not definitive by any means, and I may or may not have made some assumptions on people editting for us. If your name is one in brackets, you are currently seen as a secondary editor and may be called upon if the primary isn't able to work with us for whatever reason.

I will take care of Kazakhstan Leagues and National Team
As much as we know Borat would love to play in Kazakhstan for NSS4, it's not a league we plan to have I'm afraid.
Bubka
12-07-2006, 04:10 PM
Well why not really? If there is a capable editor-dude who have a good knowledge and access to the league and national team?
Adenov
12-07-2006, 04:16 PM
Although Kazakhstan is not a tough football country, remember guys, it's still playing in UEFA. And a lot my friends enjoy particularly NSS.
p.s. Borat is a fake. He has never been to KZ
Adenov, I know Borat is a 'fake'
I understand what you mean with Kazakhstan, but how much accurate info would you be able to gather? Have a look at any player on www.toopra.com (http://www.toopra.com) and let me know if you could match it.
For leagues where accurate data is hard to get, we may add just the teams and random players generated with country specific name files.

i really don't understand this toopra thing.
JJU i e-mailed you my username yesterday btw.
but it seems anyone who joins up can edit data ; therefore what if someone joins and starts sabortaging the data?
Adenov
12-07-2006, 05:27 PM
I've looked through www.toopra.com
I guess I'll make it. I've got a huge archive of information on kazakh players
I can fill General, Transfer, Physical and Position fields
but Qualities are generated randomly?
If I would do it manually it will take forever!
Qualities should be as accurate as possible, out of 20. I'd imagine for Kazakhstan you'd have an average of 7-9. Go for it if you're happy to, PM me your toopra login etc when you're done.

jju?
cant anyone edit the toopra data and mess it up?
Yes and no, but NSS editors are given preference over regular editors.
I think a problem with my nss email may have prevented me getting any recent emails with people's toopra logins. Can anyone who has yet to receive confirmation back from an email please PM me their toopra login asap.
C'mon guys, yet to see much from those on the list.

We are currently considering our use of TOOPRA, we'll let you know, and if we were to continue with it, I'm going (with worthy contribution of other mods) to create an extensive guide to use TOOPRA :) along with a FAQ so that everyone feels a little more comfortable ;)

I don't know how do add leagues and things, so I can't start working. Once you will make a guide I will start.
Tomer, you don't add leagues. Just players. Also, can I remind you Wolf is primary editor for Israel in either case?

12-11-2006, 02:01 PM
Last week you told me that if he won't show up in a week I will be the primary editor. So I just need to create the players? I don't need teams?
And how do you know he hasn't shown up? That's why I said I would confirm.
I'm emailing all the primary editors who haven't been in touch as we speak, so be patient :)

Oh sorry, I didn't knew that. I just thought I would finish with it now becouse I don't have any large works for school in this time of the year.
Please read Fab's post above.
I guess what we should really come out and say to avoid anyone doing potentially unecessary work is.. "Don't do anything on Toopra for NSS until further notice".
Fabrizio Gatti
12-12-2006, 08:27 PM
You can fiddle with it, as to vote in the unnoficial poll that's at The Players' Lounge, but please do not work on NSS, nor start doing real addings, as we are not still sure the way to proceed even if we were to continue with TOOPRA :)
JJU i've sent sent you pm about my contribution into nss4 :)
I'm going to lock this thread as well for now, and this one will probably stay locked as it's superceded by the more 'offical' one HERE (http://www.newstargames.com/newstarforum/showthread.php?t=3730).
i couldnt find that anyone said somethiong about this so i'm asking ;)
are there going to be in nss4 regional leagues? (there are four 3rd polish leagues and it would be really nice to be able to put them into the game)
Fabrizio Gatti
12-15-2006, 06:14 PM
Yes, I believe parallel leagues are a must, so you're probably going to do those :) Anyway ask JJU if such depth is needed :)
