THERE YOU GO THEN FOLKS...MY TOP FIVE CONTENDERS !!
It was a very hard to narrow down out of 32 entries.
I heard brian pace talking about his goal a few weeks ago.Well after viewing many times,I could not decide if it was an actual heel or just the way the players action is shown shooting at goal.So the best way was to put it on the top 5 list,You can all make your own decision about that one.

Wow, all great goals. The two volleys and Brian Pace's 'heel' were great to see... in a 'what was that'? sense. But looking more closely I think the two top-corner goals were more technically remarkable shots... and I went for Andrus Jones' one because, although it was from closer, slotting it into the corner over two defenders was just superb.

Oh, and 'heel'? I don't think so. I see it as an attempted pass from the defender, intercept and snap shot.

Yes...my heel goal is one of those 'strange goals', but since my goal is in the final, I will limit my comments to avoid any kind of influence. ;)

I will just tell you that it seems that now I have an open membership to goals with the heel...so prepare for another one for next month...I just scored it yesterday. :dance:

I like Nikola's myself. Superb volley after some nice build-up play.

I once challenged myself to score a goal that looked like a back-heel or something similar. It came when I chipped the ball onto the crossbar - the ball bounced over the keeper and I backheeled in.

My reason for nicola milic goal is..No room for error.It was perfect.An inch one way its wide,an inch to high its over the bar,and an inch the other way keeper saves it...It was such an acute angle.
But we all have our own opinion on what is a great goal.
Some people look at build up,some at what level the players is playing at i.e..amature,pro ect..Some at shear quality striking!!
I personally would not pick a goal with great build up,taking on and beating defenders if it was on amature level.Just my opinion but it stands to reason it would be easier to pass around an opponent and beat defenders on amature compared to expert.
Anyway good look to all in competition well done for getting in top five.I think this one is going to be a tight one.It will go to the wire on last day of voting imo.

Nautilus, I had another look at your 'heel' goal and I think you might just be right. It's hard to pick but it could well be a flick off the side of your heel. Amazing stuff.

It was becoming boring to vote each time for volleys or 20/30 yards shots. At last we have something different and it's the first time I'm seeing a goal with the heel. I'm still asking how on earth you succeed in scoring such great goals; all of you.

All five goals are excellent but my vote goes to number 5; especially for being different from what we normally see and if we want some classy finishing what's better than a heel? ;)

P.S. Good luck to Atalanta for next year. I have 3 friends from Bergamo.

Very pleased with my first go at goal of the month judge.I think i threw up a good copetition.Wont be doing it next month as its my co judge's turn.But i expect i will enter a few.

If its a tie.I think either Si or me (the judge)should have final vote.Although it would be more fair if Si had the vote.As i have already had my vote.But I would be willing to do it.Lets hope it dont come to a draw.

Definitely. In the case of a tie, only Si should take the final decision. However this wasn't the case since there were no ties.

The poll always closes on a particular day and at a particular time. This time the poll closed (as you confirmed) today 14th August, but you left out an important factor: the time. The voting ended at around 2:30pm.

Hey...it seems to be a golden moment for me. :dance:

I've been submitting goals for this competition for months and got to the final only once, with terrible results. Well...these last two months made amend for this. :lol:

However we're having some very close encounters with some good goals. My heel was hard to catch and many had doubts on whether it was a heel or not (although for me it was quite clear) but it was good to have a variety of goals!!!
