Hi, I went to download NSS1 on my new computer, and I have purchased it a while ago and have written down my code, but after it downloaded I tried to install it only to receive:

"This installation appears to be corrupted, please obtain a new install. Continue with install? (Not recommended)"

So I deleted it and downloaded it again, same result, deleted it, restarted my computer, downloaded it again, same result, so i went on yes to continue with the installation, and at File 2 of 13 it comes up with:

" This installation appears to be corrupted. Error whilst installing '21839133 - NewStarSoccer.exe' "

What can I do? I really like NSS

the above downloads works fine for me, as I have never had it on this PC and its working fine?

What version of windows are you using?

Is the error occuring sorry while you trying to install the game or after you use your player name and code?

PM me your player name and code and I will take a look for you.

Si Read, deals with this side of things but hes not wavailable at the moment

Thats the on I tried, and it still doesn't work for me. I'm on Windows XP, and its nothing with my password or anything, as I haven't had a chance to install it yet as thats where the problem is.

Maybe someone could send me their installation wizard to see if it works?

im on XP and it worked fine for me

I suggest it is something wrong on your end.

Try removing all traces of NSS1 and try a fresh download, i.e. goto into your C: Drive and remove any NSS folders.

It worked fine with my othr XP computer, and this is the firsttime NSS has been downloaded on this computer, but I'll do what you've said and keep you posted.

The Download hasn't changed recently has it?

nope, i downloaded it for the first time on this PC about 3 hours ago and its works for me.

Make sure all files relating to NSS1 on your hard drive are removed first.

Thankyou very much, I don't know how, but my recently bought computer, brand new, had an NNS file on it when I bought it :?

Obviously the staff at PC World were playing it between shifts :lol:

so I take it, it now works :)

topic now moved to the dugout, where I should of moved it eariler if I was thinking straight :?
