Sorry, but there were some sheer quality ones this month, it was hard for an inexperienced goal-picker. :D

I cant believe I got 2 in the goal of the month and nobody has voted for them yet, thats harsh.

Well, some great goals. I'm still undecided which one of the five to vote, but my choice will definitely be from one of Brian Pace's goals, especially the curling volley...fantastic.

We have to give credit to the fact that he scored to wonderful goals on EXPERT level so this should be taken into consideration. I've scored some great goals as well, but all on amateur and pro, and believe me it's not that difficult.

Anyway, hope to make it next time.

Brian Pace with his volley in my opinion :D
I agree. Brian Pace has the best goals especially his wonder curling volley and he is the only one from these contenders who scored his goals on expert level. He should take the votes - that volley from such an acute angle is a great winner.

Brian Pace sent 5 brilliant goals, and I could've justified all of them being the contenders! :D

Option No 2 Wayne Reed, is now banned from this months polling, please do not use mutliple accounts to vote for yourself..... we are no stupid and can check IP's addresses.

Let this be a lesson for all.

AfterDeath

Yeah, the same guy is No. 5 Jay-Jay.

I cannot believe someone is that sad as to create accounts to boost their votes. The persons accounts should all be banned IMO and he should be thrown into a pit with hungry lions, whilst being stoned to death!

Soha
07-17-2006, 01:55 PM
it wasnt intelligent... :P he should be banned from gotm for some time in my opinion. he must feel now that he was cheating

In the rules there's stated that each person can cast only one vote, but is it allowed to vote for yourself when your goal is in contention? Thanks.

JJU
07-18-2006, 09:37 AM
Yes, you can vote for your own goals.

Soha
07-18-2006, 12:18 PM
maybe there should be rule about this too. that you can vote only for another members' goals. if someone will vote on himself, his goal will be deleted from poll- what do you think about this?? i think that there will be more justice and it will be overall better :D

funkye
07-18-2006, 02:39 PM
whoa there, I think you should all chill out, I voted for myself once and I got my friends to join the forum while they were at my house and vote for me too. What I did was a little bit cheeky but I didnt break any rules and you cant prove that I did so you should put my goal back on the poll, with as many votes as it had and stop talking about banning me or whatever.

JJU
07-18-2006, 02:55 PM
We've had a similar case before, and whilst we can't prove you did it, you also can't prove you didn't.

We will change the rules in future to reflect the fact that users from the same IP can't vote for the same person in a GOTM poll, unless they are two distinct and 'known' users validly using the same computer.

Sorry, but Jay-Jay has spoken. Please avoid any further discussion on this here.

Did not know you could vote for yourself.Dont think its right.also agree with the above rule and the above player should be banned from just this month. It will send out a lesson to others imo

funkye
07-18-2006, 07:33 PM
well I wasnt going to reply but seen as though someone else has I will, I havent broken any rules, so I shouldnt be banned, and if I am, it will be more unfair than anything I have done, which I think was only a little bit cheeky and did not require the huge uproar it got, maybe your all just a bit high strung i dunno :D

It's amazing how the other user from one of your IPs has the name jamiroquy and your own email address is jamiroquy2005@*.com isn't it?

I PMed you about this and I thought you'd have a little sense and let this go. Maybe 24 hours reflection will do you good ;) Please guys, no more on this matter, let's get on with the competition :)

Ace let us not be childish. We shoudn't vote to make the game exciting, but vote simply for the best goal. As the others said, I'd rather vote for an "expert" goal other than a "pro" goal.

P.S. Should there be a tie, who wins? Justice would say the most difficult level, no? It's good to know for future competitions as the rules doesn't cover it.

AfterDeath
07-20-2006, 05:03 PM
Expert and pro are just the difficulty levels. Don't base your vote on them. :)

Also, that last sentence is entirely illogical. Instead, the game's creator, Si, picks the best along with the aid of his moderators. :)

Well, I voted for the goal I thought was best, not to make it more exciting.

WOW, some cracking goals here. How I wish to score a great goal. Till now only normal ones.

That curling volley is incredible especially for someone like me who have'nt got the idea yet on how to hit a volley. Everytime I try I always end up with a header. I'll keep on trying...

Good idea, during a tie the decision should be left in the hands of the game master because he would be unbiased and take note also of the reactions and comments of us mortals writing in this topic.

I voted number 3.

Poseidon

Good point Scorpion, even I wonder how they are capable of scoring such good goals. Volleys are quite hard to get and even I hit many headers when trying to hit a volley. For me a volley like the one I voted in the poll is still in my dreams. ;)

Goodness me how close it was!!!

Well done to everyone who participated and also to you AD for sparing your time to see all the goals, choose the best five and taking care of the rest. I saw all the goals and it wasn't an easy choice. There were some good goals.

This time I had a strong submission. I sent in the best five goals I had, but like the majority of you said, my favorite was that volley. When I scored it I jumped as if I was in a real stadium and nearly forgot to save it. I just saved it on the fourth replay. That's the magic of NSS3.

But the best is yet to come. No matter how wonderful that volley was (and infact it was) it's not top of my personal list. For next month's GOTM competition I have the best goal I ever scored and maybe one of the best ever submitted: a Zidane style volley with the heel. When you look closey at it you will notice that the ball was hit with the player's heel. I coudn't believe what I was seeing.

Anyway, thanks once again. I'll check in the shop to see what prices to choose.

Good luck to everyone for the coming GOTM competition!!!
