View Full Version : Suggestions for NSS3/4 - Part 2
Yup.. it looks like the chance has passed to get any of those nice changes made to NSS3.
Fear not though, this is the thread where you can post your NEW ideas and suggestions for NSS4.
Slow down there though, there have already been loads of suggestions here (http://www.newstarsoccer.com/newstarforum/showthread.php?t=1894), here (http://www.newstarsoccer.com/newstarforum/showthread.php?t=2712), and here (http://www.newstarsoccer.com/newstarforum/showthread.php?t=2146) to name but a few.
The following post will be a summary of these ideas. Please take 5 minutes to read through them before you post your own. Any points previously made in the other threads do not need to be mentioned again, just because they don't appear in the post below, it doesn't mean we've ignored them ;)
Any duplicates will more likely than not end up being deleted, sorry :)
GENERAL
- Three sections in to explore in the style of an RPG/sims style, where stuff you should buy could have some practical use.
1. Your home. Starting at digs then can be upgraded depending on wealth to country cottage, mansion. Inside you have a entertainment area (for replay playback, career highlights) your office for stats, bedroom for getting down with the g/f, trophy area, gym (make the exercise equipment in the Spend menu actually help you to train better) Maybe make the type of bed you sleep in affect how much energy you regent too as part of the formula along with the stamina stat. Horse stables and garages too.
2. The local main street. This is characteristic of region you are playing in (Asia, Europe, middle east, UK an Ireland etc.) here you have a shop were you can buy special items i.e. the boots mentioned below. Also a bar for meeting with friends and building up social morale/confidence. Also you can talk about upcoming matches or get gossip on the team like finding out a certain player does/doesn't or other stuff. Visit the nightclub where you can meet potential girlfriends, and the danger of drug dealers.
3. The stadium. Here you have the training area, physio room, boss office, boardroom, trophy cabinet.
- One of the things that is bad with the game is that one could conceivably miss every single match and just keep on pumping himself up until his stats are on full. Realistically, while all football youngsters learn their trade on the training ground, your real football education is in big matches. I know that your stats do increase sometimes in matches. But telling the gaffer that you want to be rested every single game in the year IS silly and unrealistic. I think after a while in a player’s career they start to learn from the matches they play in and not from training drills. When real players play in training they train against the same players’ week in and week out unless they are transferred.
- Make it so you can't join the big team you want straight away. Maybe a sign saying "sorry not experienced enough" would come up, so that way you have to start out in a small team and try your best 2 get experienced THEN you can go in2 better teams.
- Reserve teams for clubs and U21 teams for nations because it’s really unrealistic to be starting for your club when you are only 16.So you should start in the reserves and only when you start performing really well should you be given a chance with the first team
- 'Real' promotion and relegation rules such as play-offs in English League, promotion/relegation playoffs etc.
- More tournaments such as the UEFA Cup, Copa Libertadores, Club World Championship, Copa America etc.
- Bonuses for winning the cups and leagues.
- Some way of making certain games local derbies. Everyone could get a minor aggression boost!
- Stadium names and capacities
- Add holiday locations and make it possible to sign autographs at the mall or after your top-seller biography.
- Ability to play street/beach soccer when on holidays. You could be resting on the beach and a kid comes up to you and you have a little game to impress. Playing too well will make them feel rubbish, playing rubbish will lose you respect
- Steroids are a problem. From starting in conference as a no-hoper I took steroids and got caught, suddenly I was in the media eye and everybody wanted me and my value shot up. A couple of weeks of asking for a transfer later I was in the Championship league earning roughly 2000 times as much money. With the kind of money I was earning just by transferring my player all the time, I managed to get my fitness skills stats right to the top, just by taking the steroids and then going to rehab and getting it out of my system, and then repeating the exercise. Surely steroids have a limit to how much you can use them. I think steroids should rather increase your skills drastically, but only for as long as you are using them. When you stop using them the effect should wear off gradually and your stats should return to normal. In real life steroids do not permanently make you better as far as I am aware. Why should I be rewarded for playing like this?
- A newspaper every couple of days with transfer gossip, general news etc
- Leader boards during World Cup etc like there is for leagues.
- Named managers with profiles including favourite tactic, preferred style (long/ short passes)
, attacking style (positioning attack/fast attacks) and the man-management style like NSS already has.
- If there were there a way to code it, 90% of your 'growth' should come within the first 6 or 7 years of your career. Surely if you're naff when you're 24 you're not likely to be a superstar by 30 are you?
- Special items that can be bought in certain sports shops like special boots. Depending on the sort they could give a 1-5 bonus to your pace when worn. Your max pace is 25 without them and maybe adds to your technique also. Other
- More sponsorship deals, like from supermarkets, health care products, magazines etc
- Give clubs proper finances instead of teams like Dunfermline buying you for 50 million...and wage budgets for clubs so your not getting like 30 thousand a week from a 3rd division team
- Trials at other clubs. For example 3 other players on trial too, but there are only 2 free places. Results in training exercises could dictate who gets picked.
- Our playing record should be shown for each season (that we played in 2006/07 in Barcelona and our season stats, and under this our 2007/08 stats, and at the end our overall stats in team)
- Date and opponent of senior squad debut, international debut, champions league debut
- A breakdown of how many of your total goals were penalties, free-kicks, etc, plus how many of your penalties you've missed.
- Captain at club and country level, would do the toss in begin of the game
- Random morale upgrades e.g. favourite team win cup, girlfriend late, car breakdown, flu, upset stomach from dodgy Chinese take away.
- More individual awards (i.e., world gk/def/mid/att of the year, same again for young players, individual leagues) Club and Fans Player of the year awards too.
- Preseason friendly matches. The fact that if you join in some of the higher leagues you are launched into league matches with little experience or skill is unrealistic. Preseason matches could be where you build up your stats and makes things a little more believable rather than getting "SEASON ENDS" and then it jumps to another one.
- When starting at a decent club, you could be sent out on loan to a lesser club, instead of going straight into the first 11, so you have to prove yourself - bit more realistic. This could also happen if you are signed by a top club while still young (Juve do this a lot)
- You should not be starting every match when there are obviously better players at the gaffers disposal. You should start as a sub in most ordinary matches. Maybe start in friendlies and all non-important cups.
- Minimum energy should be 10-25% (except for major injuries). In real life you can’t drain yourself and tell the gaffer u want a day off.
- A chance to get ill not only of injuries, fever, cold, flu, etc., and you maybe have to buy medicine.
- Option to see a private physio should be enabled, at a cost.
- Hairdressers in spend menu allowing you to change your hairstyle at will.
- Alcohol impact. It seems that whenever I 'go out with my mates and get drunk' the Alcohol stays in my system for a good few weeks. Twice now I have played a game and got 'injured' within a few minutes which I presume is because of the alcohol (or at least it seems that way). Surely one match is enough to lose the effect, it just seems to last a little too long.
- Weight loss or gain depending on general fitness stat?
- At the end of the Season, rather than just showing the 'world' player of the year, it would be nice to get a full rundown of all the winners, so you can see who is the Young/Player of the year in each division, Golden boot etc.
- More positions like Defensive Midfielder, Attacking Midfielder (NSS4 will feature DMs and AMs, possibly wing-backs too)
- Clubs to have medical facilities, dependant on club economy, with different sizes.
- National team rankings
- Dual nationality (this is planned for NSS4)
RELATIONSHIPS
- Girlfriend name database, you don't care about someone you don't know the name of, and I would guess you do not marry them!!!
- Image generator for the women you go out with.
- Girlfriend/wife has a birthday and you need to remember to buy her a present on that day! If you forget then your GF relations drops. Anniversary's too?
- More interaction with your kids.
- Lessen the effect family and friends have on your morale. There are a lot of players who like to keep to themselves to themselves. How can your family still miss you so often even when you are supposedly a grown up?
- Option to go clubbing/pubbing. Here you could meet girls (or boys!) so you should s**** the random encounters. There should be different ratings for night clubs so you know where to go to find a celebrity. The bouncer only lets u in when you are famous. Also include restaurants so u have to do more work when going on dates.
- Add the option to pick dating clothes out of what you have bought.
- 'General Public' relationship. You can gain points by giving to charity and doing good things like coaching kids and stuff, but you can lose them by not giving enough away, collecting yellow cards, having a bad temperament and stuff like that. It could affect how many special items you get in the year, free gifts occasionally from celebrities and lower prices in the shop.
- Rivalry with other teams and players. For example, you could choose your favourite club at the start of your career and then have a negative approach to their biggest rivals.
- My player was approached with allegations for homosexuality. I thought it would be a big laugh for my player to confirm allegations and then deny them a week later. Problem was my player didn't get the opportunity to deny them
- Option to be homosexual / bisexual?
- Since there are other players in your team you should be able to form personal relationships with them like friendships or rivalries.
TRANSFERS
- Transfer offers when you are not transfer-listed
- When you're worth good amount of money and your club needs the funds, or if you are on a high salary contract and your club can't afford it, they should be able to transfer list you. Then if you reject an incoming offer that should seriously damage your relationships. It could be nice if the club asks your preference of country/club to be sold to.
- Ability to choose from a list of offers, rather than one after the other.
- Introduce an agent to act on your behalf
- small point - haw about being able to pick your favourite team(s) when starting your career, making it more likely that they will attempt to sign you? I waited ages for The Toon to come in for me...
TRAINING & STATS
- Stats are way too easy to update. I'd rather have the ratings from 1-100 not 30. This way it depends on how well you complete the exercise so u can get points from 1-5. (Stats will be from 1-100 in NSS4)
- Rigorous training should increase your injury proness so players who train all the time do get punished.
- Minimal rating for an attribute should be 20%. You shouldn’t always upgrade after training. If everybody’s stats increased after training then the world would be full of stars and it isn’t.
- Limit on how often you can train
- Cap your total stats so you have to think about what areas to train (i.e., limit Shooting/Tackling/Passing total to 200 points)
- Video/replay showing you how to do the training beforehand.
- The manager should sometimes pick specific challenges for you to complete. These challenges should be different from those you can train on.
- Adapt some of the more 'surreal' training scenarios. Why score from 65 yards? Why not aim for top left or top right from 30? (like PES with the targets)
- There should be time for training and time for matches; you shouldn't be able to train in lieu of playing a match. I think if your combined skill level and form level averaged out are less than the best of the players playing in your position available, you should always come on as a sub. Or you should not come on at all, if your stats and form are worse than another guy who could be a replacement, thus allowing you time to train.
- Goalkeeper stats should only begin to deteriorate when the player gets to 34+ years or older.
MATCH
- Retain control of player during goal kicks (i.e., stop auto-moving your player around)
- Removal of the invisible zones around free-kicks that you can't move into. Instead award yellow cards to the player for encroaching on the free kicks (if they don't leave in say 5 seconds or so)
- You should not lose ratings for holding the ball up.
- Forwards make too many back passes. Too few goals from crosses. Too few penalties. Terrible atacking and defending support. Formation is too spaced out.
- Why the sudden reduction in speed when running diagonally?
- More variation in formations and tactical styles. Every team plays the same, fix it so they play to their strengths.
- Option to skip the match until you are taken off the bench.
- Other players should have energy bars as well, so when they become low they get substituted or even rested in some games.
- Each player on each team to have a rating from each match as well, and the player with the highest average could get the Best Player award or whatever. Form could also be a big part of selections.
- Graphical dugout. Subs, manager and coaches will be here, and they can make gestures depending on what is occurring in the game.
- Perhaps an option to 'ask' to be substituted. Would be useful if already 3-0 up and you've got a big game coming up next so don't want to risk getting injured.
- Or work on the AI so it takes you off for a rest after maybe 60 minutes of a game if it's comfortably won by then, or leaves you out of the team if it's a two-legged tie which your team has a comfortable lead in, i.e. a Champion's League qualifier you are already leading 5-0.
- Graphical indicator to show the Manager is about to make a sub. Maybe even have the subs warming up around the pitch now and again.
- Random in-match events like streakers or dogs running onto pitch, flares and loo-roll thrown on.
- Doctors and stretcher coming on for an injured player. If the injury is serious he will be stretchered off, otherwise he will get treated on the pitch briefly.
- Can you make the crowd more active?
- Improve the scoreboard
- Better substitution graphics such as green and red arrows etc.
- Have extra time shown by a little pop-up board, like the ones they use in real life.
- In-game stats could appear in one of corners at predetermined times. For example ball possession %s after 30 and 60 mins; when team has got a corner- number of corners; shots, shots on target etc.
- Starting XI and subs of both team to be displayed before match, plus team comparison for example:
POS M PTS W D L GS GC GD
1. Chelsea London 37 91 29 4 4 72 21 51
10. Wigan Athletic 37 51 15 6 16 43 48 -5
Basic music when we are watching these screens (in European cups, Champions league theme", in leagues another song. and maybe after win cup or league we could hear, we are the champions"- it gives about 3 songs at all)
- When you score a goal you could do a free celebration. You'd control your player and can run around the pitch for a few seconds, pressing shoot or pass to perhaps perform a dive or some other graphical 'celebration' like running with your arms out or performing a samba. Maybe even get a yellow card for taking your shirt off.
- Introduce the chance of slipping or mistiming volleys when you have low flair.
- Sprint action. You moves faster but it's easier for opponent to tackle and depending on your dribble stat you could lose the ball.
- Dribble action. You move slower but it becomes more difficult for opponent to tackle.
- Named referees, with each one having set strictness.
- Maybe shooting shouldn’t be with cursor, but like in PES5: we just choose corner where shoot (left, centre, right)
- Overhead kicks. Is there a better or more satisfying way to score?
- Better substitution AI.
- Different 'call' types When your team is in possession: call=ask for ball to feet, lob=ask for high ball, shoot=ball to space.
- Pitch should have more effect on the game. e.g., in the EPL all the pitches will be brilliant but in the French 3rd division the standard will be lower. You should be able to tell the difference.
- Team confidence during match, if your team gets goals scored against them easily they make more mistakes, with passes/shots, if your team plays great better passes and that
- Energy bar as well as stamina so you cant run on full speed all the time, and when it gets low you're prone to injury faster.
- Rebounded shots are not assists; passes are.
- Improve GK AI to stop rubbish goal kicks, not coming for crosses
- Improve Defender AI to incorporate man-marking, and also make sure the central defenders aren't caught out ALL the time. Side-backs should also be closer to the centre of the pitch than the side-lines.
- Half-time review from the boss in addition to match stats. e.g. he should say "pass the ball better" or "dont play too deep" etc.
- Start from the bench when your stamina is low (like under 45%) and when coming back from serious injury too (or reserve teams if they make it).
- Shooting at goal should only increase ratings if it is close to goal or saved, not when it's wide. Shots that are too far off-target could count against your rating.
EDITOR
- Take the best from the inbuilt and Statto's IPE and have a standalone editor included in NSS4.
- New features to include player preview where you can see the player's physical appearance.
- Starting line-up displayed at all times whilst team is editted, automatically refreshing if possible.
- Ranking by position option.
in stats list of players which have chances to be selected on national team's match. it should contains: international caps and goals, club and league and selection prospects. and from this list the most players (these with selection prospects- regular) will be selected to national team. it will make surely game more realistic.
i think that it wasnt yet: not only major injuries in matches, but minor injuries too- injuries with which we can still play and end match, but with some stats lower. of course if we play longer our injury is more dangerous with time.
our injury proness should be more if we are being tackled or barged of the ball many times in match. and we can have ?...? (purple after hit) and it will make some of our stats lower.
possibilty of injuries without physical contact: approachings and breaking of muscles.
muscles shrinks (?? muscles hurts much for a whileand while after everything is ok- dont know) when tired- like ballack with Argentina
after some fouls (brutal or from behind) we have to go out from the pitch and be able to play after 3-5 minutes. of course our injury proness is bigger. we could have option there to be substituted (when we go out some times we surely be scared about our player)
You don't need to pointlessly repeat a suggestion you have made which is already in the NSS4 forum ;) We will be quite ruthless and delete any unnecessary posts here.
I will move my suggestion now as its not likely to be in nss3
Just thought that a good idea would be to ...

- Stats to be rated by human hand rather than by machines. Frank Lampard, 22 shooting? ;)
- Players to have squad numbers.
- I didn't find anything about my average idea when I searched, so...
I'd also like each player to have a rating, which could be their average out of all the stats. Basically this would help in selections, because currently John Terry is on the West Brom bench in my game, which really makes no sense whatsoever. So yeah, average ratings could also be useful in picking teams, national squads and the like, and players with certain ratings wouldn't move to lower down squads or whatever, so we don't get Frank Lampard at Chester City.
Also, teams should have average ratings, and the greater the gap, the less chance the team with the lower rating would win.
So teams with higher average ratings could sign better players. Oh, and match rating and form could be introduced.
This fixes transfers, squads, Sunderland winning the Premiership etc.
Oh, and themole had something good...
Totally agree with the match rating & form, excellent idea. Something like Football Manager would work a treat, with each player for both teams having a rating shown at full and half time, which would be affected by shot accuracy, passing accuracy, tackling, fouls, and obviously goals & assists. This rating would then impact things such as whether or not you are subbed, the fan's, team's and manager's opinion of you, your confidence, and whether or not the media rate you (I know that these things are already affected by your performance, but I would like to see it play a bigger part.)
This would also obviously affect the size of the clubs that can afford to bid for you - when I've just been Young/League/World player Of The year, I don't want to see Wolves making a bid for me.
Oh, and the club should offer you a new improved contract if you are playing well without you having to ask for one, aspecially if your wage does not match the club's top earners.
possibilty to ,,thanks" supporters when being substituted and on away matches option to run to our fans sector and thanks them for support.

i think it would be nice to have the camara pan over the crowd when scoring or start or end of the match.
GK's fouls! it's unrealistic actually. in real they foul sometimes when player tries dribble past them. it should appear too

First of all, don't make it too realistic couse then it will get boring. Its a game, after all.
My suggestion is about the horese. It would be nice if you could get som info on the horses e.g. age, odds, gender. And it would be nice if the raced more often.
- More fouls, like handball and as Soha said, GK fouls.
- If there will be a possibility to be a goalie in NSS4, how can you train bravery, jumping etc... ?
bravery- know something about it :D when going out from box many times on penalty area to crosses and through passess. bravery should go down when dont play more than other skills.
reflexes- one on one situations, shots from small distance and penalties
positioning- free kicks, going out to crosses and through passes, goalkeeping shoots without going on ground- only standing
organisation- there should be some GK's commands: go deep, run out (for example to do offside trap), attack player with ball, mark (defenders will come to the nearest opponent). on training maybe we should react good on some situations and shout to defenders right commands to defend goal
handling- goalkeeping shoots
maybe there should be too:
punching- when goalkeeping there should be buttons to: punch or catch the ball.
possibility to shout on referee when we think that there shouldnt be foul or something like this (look on real matches) and shout on our players (maybe choose which) to motivate them (MOTIVATING SKILL). if our motivating skill is good/bad, player/players will receive pluses or minuses after our shouts.

This may sound wierd but how about you being able to walk about the town, and thier are shops and casinos you can walk into, and maybe you could have to get to the stadium before your game,so like get a taxi, drive your car, hitch a lift...something like that.
Just like real life, you go go round the town whenever you like,do whatever you want.

might make the game too long and could slow it down. si would have to spend ages to making the game.
We still want new ideas though :)
However, please note that if an idea which has already been posted is suggested again, we are liable to delete it, even if it's not in the list at the start. Some things were just too long-winded and complicated to put into a list of things for people to read first.
It's nothing personal, honest ;)

- Make a specific, separate 'header' and 'volley' commands instead of making them refer to 'heights' at which you start to shoot. It's currently needlessly complicated and I've never really ever gotten a volley when I've wanted to. It'd probably be a better idea to just use "lob the ball" for headers and "shoot" for volleys. Hold one of them down and your character will automatically use the skill at the appropriate time.
- Also, when directly UNDER the ball and facing AWAY from the goal and using the 'volley' command (aka, holding down shoot), make the kick an overhead kick. This is EXPANDING on the overhead kick idea and giving it a precise command and way of using it! ;)
- Additional patterns for uniforms. If the same engine is to be used, I could probably cook some up.
There were two extra kits which never quite made it into the game (V neck and Croatia check style) but I think it's likely that there will be a visual overhaul for NSS4, so I doubt it'll use the same graphics.
nothingxs
07-03-2006, 07:23 AM
Yeah, I was thinking exactly of those two, too.
Can't those kits be added into the game as it were, as a patch, or is that impossible now?
maybe there could be possible in NSS4 editor to make new kits, what could look like in paint- we are painting pixels (or anything what will be used in in game)

I definitely like that idea, Soha. :D
How about making the 'goalkeeper' abilities not tied into the normal player abilities, and thus being able to train a goalkeeper that's also an effective striker (read: Jorge Campos) or a good set piece taker (read: Jose Luis Chilavert)?

- each team having a fan's favorite player, which makes more pressure on the manager to play them, more chances when they are playing poorly, more income from shirt sales, morale boost, media boost etc.
- fines from the manager for red cards, indiscipline off the pitch attracting unwanted publicity, fighting with team-mates, poor performances etc.
- Sponsors not limited to 3 companies, you should get as many as you are offered, but only one from each type of product.
- Ability to name your kids whatever you want. I would call mine Tarantula Tinkerbell if it was a girl and John if it was a boy.
- Ability to argue with your wife/girlfriend/friends/parents.
- In the half-time break, you can talk to the manager, ask for changes, praise him, criticize him. You could try to encourage the rest of the team, praise them etc... Or maybe you only can do this if you are the captain.
- Random incidents that you'll have to deal with in the break, right after the game or before the game. Like a mad fan hits you when you're entering the pitch, your boot disappears right before the match etc...
And Soha, what I ment with "How can you train bravery, jumping", is: How are those training levels gonna be made?

How about being able to do Roy Keane VS Alfie Haaland career ending knee high tackles via the #-key, so I can break the legs of Cristiano Ronaldo, Francesco Totti, Robbie Savage, El-Hadji Diouf, Sunderland, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer, amongst others.
I don't think that's something which sits within the current 'moral viewpoint' of the NSS series, but if you're feeling that way inclined go to miniclip.com/injurytime/injurytime.php ;)

I'm not that way inclined, but that collection of divers, spitters and cheaters deserve it. I'd like to add Drogba and Robben to that list also. Cheers for the link, i'ma have some fun with that.

- Anthems
JJU edit: Other points deleted, already mentioned
How about reading the rest of the suggestions, many of (actually all, except anthems) them are already suggested...
And "Lower Price" is ridiculous, it's VERY cheap for such a good game! :D
And about you sig, I've scored one from 78 yards... ;)
I'm actually curious what 'Anthems' is? If you mean more crowd chants etc, then yeah.. that'd be cool.

If you play in a country for 5 or more years you're allowed to play for that national team, so long of course as you haven't already played for any other national side. e.g. Cuddicini of Chelsea. He's played in England for over 5 years and is able to play for England even though he's of Italian birth?

Anthems as in pre-game anthems for each team. That'd take too much information though unless you used something cheap on space like .MOD or .MID. :(
TONGUE IN CHEEK: We need a Theatrics stat and a 'dive' button. :D

Already mentioned... (Yeah, really!)

Could we have national anthems for world cup games etc? Surely there would be no copyright issues for that!!!
Don't know if it has been mentioned but any chance of having agents in the game that you can appoint to find you new clubs etc?
Oh and for people who don't know $20 odd dollars is not a lot of money. It's probably about £12. And the fact that you get the forums for nothing and unbelivable community support and aftersales support makes it a flippin bargain!!!!
clauses in contract: % wage increase per season, shirt number clause, release clause (release fee, relegation, offer from club club from higher division or from another country)
possibility of talking with club's director and manager (want to play in 1st 11, want to play with someone, want them to buy player from another club)
Erm, sure multiplayer has already been mentioned, especially on-line, but reading through this thread, didn't see the possibility to play 2 player on the same computer mentioned. (Although the way the game is currently bought, this may raise problems with both players having to buy registration codes...) Would be good though...
EDIT: Actually, another thing to add, after seeing people suggest Champions League themes and National Anthems...
It would be nice if possible to assign chants (eg .wav or .mpg) to specific teams, to play either randomly during the match, or as teams come out for kick off or after a goal. Seen variations on this in other games such as KO2002 and Championship Soccer, and would really add to the 'atmosphere' (and would complement the stadiums nicely)

With the national anthems you could just skip them too like with corners half time and after goals like you do with the space bar. Simple :). Oh and my earlier suggestion when I said could we have agents I saw JJU already put that but I meant to add could we ask them to not only look around for clubs for us but say for example I have left Liverpool and gone to Milan. I want to go back to Liverpool one day on NSS3 but I will have to hope they come in for me eventually. With an agent you could ask him to go talk to that club and try and get them to open negotiations.

lets make use of the kids you have with the mrs. Haven't played past the age of 23 in NSS3 so i don't know if they do anything but it would be cool if you have a boy he could become a pro footballer one day and if you have him early enough he could play against you or with you!!! If a manager element came in you could buy him for your team and make headlines etc. Girls could become your agents or start running a family business??? Good idea or not? Maybe even the wife could do something apart from drain your energy. Again an agent, business woman or if attractive enough a model? So earning that private island in the bahamas becomes easier!!!
you meant like it is with ,,Beckhams"?? He is world superstar, but in real she earns more money... it's very good idea :) maybe in girlfriend's info should be what about she dreams: to be top model, etc. as said Adam. and we will be able to help her to climb on top of her dreams :D
Good idea.. but I think best kept simple by saying that the wife has an income and a basic job role. Mind you.. once you're famous will they bother working? Oh, and Posh Spice doesn't earn as much as Beckham ;)
no?? she still earns nearly 1/4, 1/5 beckham's incomes from spice girls CDs and other stuff from that time...

If you're with a club, they aren't doing too well, but you're under contract, representatives from another club should sound you out over a move. This would also give you more choice of who you play for. If you are able to enter your favorite and local club at the start, they should be more likely to make both illegal and legal moves for you

i got a few suggestions and i've put stars out of 5 on how i agree with them
1*- you should be able to choose whether you start from a local club and ge moved up and depending on how well you do with them, that determines how much points you use on your attributes.
2*- the clubs facilities should decide on how much or how regularly you get to improve your stats. example: you'll improve better at ac milan more than coventry.
3*- more media interactions to make the game more exciting. some people have already added that but not sure
4*- already a lot of people have mentioned two players but theres a lot of confusion like if the two are in the same match. i think a way to make this work is that for two players you need a control pad so if the two players were to collide in a match it will be playable even tho im not sure how it will work, its worth a go

2*- the clubs facilities should decide on how much or how regularly you get to improve your stats. example: you'll improve better at ac milan more than coventry.
But would you improve more sitting on milan's bench than you would playing every week at coventry? there needs to be a clever balance here. The bigger clubs should definitely have better medical facilities though, so you will recover from serious injuries quicker, as theycan afford to have better medical staff and can send you to a specialist like Dr. Richard Steadman who fixes everybody's knees.

i dont think anyone ever mentioned this so..
you would be able to walk around in your stadium :D
examples:
If you want to train you walk to the training area.
If you want to go to the medical clinic, well you go to the clinic.
If you want to talk to the boss (to change ur position etc) u go to the managerial room.
You could also have your room where you can rest there (instead of pressing rest). and maybe (this doesnt need to be there) when you buy certain stuff they appear in your room.
There could also be a "fun" area. by that i mean you can just shoot the balls or run around the pitch (which will increase your stamina)I really really think this would be a GREAT idea B)B)B)B)
btw, the stadium can be made quite simple, as in no complex designs need to be made in the stadium

I think a cool feature would be to add a car racing feature similar to the horse racing so that you could finally use those sports cars which you spend millions on.You could enter one of your cars into a race and bet for money of even the pink slip to your car. However the downside could be you could get injured in an accident or even arrested and have to pay a fine.
Also this could really affect your relationship with your manager and family.
you meant something like ,,2 fast 2 furious" and ,,NFS" last versions??

Car sounds good. And here is an idea for NSS 10. It will be big by then so when you buy a cd in the game it could be an actual cd and you could play it in game. that way bands get free advertisment and NSS will become the greatest game ever made :)
no one will give their cd for free only for advertisement, but it's really good idea- take some songs of not well-knowed bands and put them into the game :D maybe it could be placed even in nss4 :) sound nice :D

I'm not sure how it would be implemented, or whether it has already been put in place (since I'm only into my 2nd season on NSS3) but how about greater influence over manager tactics as you get older and more experienced. Maybe if you stay at a club for 7-10 years, and you become the club captain, the manager could give you options on how you think the team should play, whether certain players should be dropped or not, and what formations you should play. This could in turn mean that team relations could go down or up depending on the result of the decision, or the manager relations could change as a result of the decision e.g. I say drop Fabregas to Wenger, he drops him, and we lose 3-2, the team and manager will be upset, however if I say drop Fabregas and Wenger brings in Diaby for exmaple, and he sets up a goal and we win 3-2, the manager and the team will be pleased with my contribution.
Also if this feature was introduced, the manager wouldn't always agree/implement your decision. It could also promote a feature of feuds between your player and other players in your squad for suggesting that they're being dropped, you could have stuff like openly criticising other players in your squad from the squad screen.
Sorry if these ideas have already been said, I've only had time to do a quick scan of the other suggestion threads.

I was reading a post where people were talking about how to make the game harder. I wrote a BIG reply but the forum said that the thread was invalid, so im posting again my sugestions, if someone find the thread than moderators can erase this and post it on the correct one.
''First i have to apologize for my poor english. It happens that im brazilian not trained in english.
Some sugestions that i thought that would make the game harder(to be implemented in a new dificult level, since the other ones seems to be ok for amateurs). Im not an expert in the game so i may be saying some trash here hehe.
1- Players can only upgrade physical atributes(strength , pace and stamina) until some age(lets say 19, because its VERY uncommon to see players getting faster with 23 years for exemple.). The maximum level a player achieved until 19 would be the maximum cap of a physical atribute over his career. (im not sure if its possible for atributes to go down.).
2- There should be a limit of the total of each of the 4 kinds of atributes(to dont have more maxed players). And higher levels could cost more than 1 point of this maximum limit! Let me trie to explain. Lets say that there is a maximum limit of 80 points of physical atributes, each point of atribute over 20(20-24) costs 2 points of atributes, and eache point over 25 costs 3 points of atributes(maybe less important atributes like tackling for a forward or set pieces for a defender could cost less , pace could be the most expensive one in the physical). That way a player with 30 pace would have to pay 46 points for his pace and would have left only 34 points to mix beetween stamina and strength. These numbers are just for this exemple...the important is the idea. That way the players with high pace would tire fast and have to think twice before getting the ball in the defense, dribling everyone and scoring the goal!
3- Any training could drain more stamina over the years(due to high age and not so fast learning).
4- High level trainings could drain more stamina.
5- Over the ages the tactics could have its cap raised(if you put a cap in the atributes), and maybe the physical lowered(only in advanced ages i think).
If i have any other idea i will be back : D
''
Good ideas Cramenic, thoughtfully explain despite your alledged lack of training in English ;) I've merged this with into the NSS4 suggestion thread, as NSS3 is near enough a closed book now, and won't be further developed along these lines.

That's a point and a half. Maybe there should be a save game - "trial" - which loads up in the trial version with about half the stats filled in. Therefore they could get a taste for a game with someone decent rather than someone who can't pass or shoot.

It's actually not a good idea at all.
The part about not being very good is what makes people want to register, they want to get better. Having a save game with good stats would kill that purpose and ruin the point of the game, and also make it less likely people would register - if they could keep playing well over a 10 game stretch. Plus, save game files work by names, so if 'trial' is not registered on your system, you can't play it.
Also, you can have club badges in the game.

Club badges is a good idea. And if it wouldn't be too much hassle (although it might be) could we have seasonal updates to match Kit changes. Now i aint asking for an exact replica, what I mean is Liverpool have just brought back the stripes so you could put a white stripe down the sleeves. Just a thought!:)

I agree with some of your points, but a lot of people on GameSpot got bored of ten games of getting tackled and not being able to score. If there was one where they could at least compete for ten weeks, they'd see why to register and build up a character from scratch.

Well.. a thing one could implement was a series of 'quick starts' where you start with a already-made player in a predefined league. Say, perhaps x number of games into the season. Then you could play ten games with that player and get a feel of it.
If it was made with 5-10 different 'scenarios' a player could see the aspects of the game from different angles.. From newbie player to start player, from ****py league to top teams.

Yeah, kinda covered by the '- A newspaper every couple of days with transfer gossip, general news etc' point. I knew what I meant too, but it's hard to convey.
I guess just like taking a page out of the back of a newspaper is one way to put it. Obviously your own news wouldn't be back page when you're at York City, but as you progress you'd get more column inches.

one thing that i kept on my mindafter i went back playing NSS3, from time to time it's said that you are friends with a player from another team, and might get transferred...
i think that if the relationship with members of the team, national team also, was improved it would be even nicer to have this "gossip" all around...
like, if you do too much pass errors, after the match a team member( or manager) might make publical or private comments (this would be directly with and only to you) complaining about that...if you feel you're being treated unfairly, you complain and makes the relantionship with that person lower...and it goes on...
i guess, that for that to work properly, a "ability" should be created, maybe call it "personality", higher it is, bigger the chance of that player talk to team partners about match incidents, problems, help the younger ones...
wow, kinda long suggestion...hope you understand it...

Just a few more of my two cents :P
1. I'm sure this has been mentioned, but AI tweaks. Like strikers not doing the little bump the ball manoevre in the box or managers not picking an 18 yr old with 20 shooting over Miroslav Klose (29) or Ivan Klasnic(28). The managers infuriate me to no end, especially because they favor young players and show no consitency. (my striking partner alternates between Klose, Hunt, and Nelson Valdez, and it changes, it seems, on the whims of the manager.)
2. Uniform details (mentioned I'm sure)
3. Less practice pitch fights and less stat point losses from "a knock in training". Once a week either I fight a teammate or lose a stat point. It becomes annoying beyond measure when I lose a stat point in something at lvl 30, when I usually just get lucky.
sorry for anything already mentioned (as I'm sure they have been) but I wanted to voice my quiet opinion.

I dunno losing ability through injuries and knocks happens in real life too. People have to work hard to get those traits back and get back to fitness. I admit losing stats can be annoying but I think it keeps the game interesting.
You can fill your stats in 2-3 seasons so it adds something to the game to take them away and keep you working at them :)
Your family are thankful for your help. It uses up some energy. The cat scrathes you. You lose 1 points from your Set Piece ability.
It's quite ridiculous, like, "Oh no, the cat scratched me, now I forgot how to shoot freekicks."
And, how can I get a slight knock in training while I'm injured?

This is likely to have been mentioned before, but hopefully I am adding something new to the debate. Now before I say anything else I would like to say that I really like the game, it's the sort of game I had dreams about when I was younger. I'm saying this because I am picking holes in it, but I want it to be better.
My biggest problem with NSS3 has to be the training (with the match action a close second). The absurdity of the scenarios is sometimes unbelievable, I preferred 2's version where there was no player involvement, this allows advancement to be entirely at the mercy of the program and therefore stops supposed "cheating". If scenarios are kept (and I can see why they are how they are) they need a drastic overhaul. 2 recognised that you are training sometimes lots of different skills in the one activity and this should return, so my suggestions for the "new and improved" scenarios are as follows, I've left out the abilities they would increase as these are still undetermined and would mostly be common sense:
5-a-side, 20 Passes (Played on a 5-a-side pitch you have to pass the ball 20 times without losing possesion to "score", obviously 20 can be a different number), Weights/Gym, Aerobics, Set pieces (Attacking & defending), Shooting, Ball skills, Triangles (The piggie in the middle sort, the piggies gaining different skills), Cross country running, Theory/Game review, Heading (Two players challenge for a header), Agility (Jumping over hurdles, between posts etc.), One-on-one (Dribbling at each other).
These are the ones that I can think about for now, again if scenarios are kept the manager should automatically choose which ones you do (occasionally at least) and the the rest of the team should still be there! IF extra training IS undertaken it should be measured in time (as well as energy if this is kept) and this should cause problems for the player, girlfriend, family and friends, team mates golf round, casino outing, manager telling you to stop it as game in a few days, etc. It should be the length of time that determines whether you increase a stat not completion of some rediculous challenge.
If the current method is kept some help for those poor souls that get stuck (myself included!) could be in the form of a 100% energy cost for a guaranteed increase. This would drastically help my player!
Something else to consider training wise is that real stamina draining training is done in the close season, and winter break where held. Only light and tactical training is held during the season, and the tactical training is held in relation to on pitch performance so two set piece conceeding goals would determine set pieces should be practiced.
I have loads of other ideas, some of which I've seen already mentioned but some not. Could there be a way of us "voting" on separate methods at a later stage (if Si cannot determine which he likes best)?
Fabrizio Gatti
08-25-2006, 01:30 AM

ProfessorFootie, you raise some interesting points.
I like NSS a lot and generally I'm a big admirer. But I'd have to agree that my biggest dissatisfaction with NSS3 is with the training.
I hate the fact that the physics and defender/keeper behaviour are so different in training than in matches. I dislike the artificiality of some of the tasks (shooting from half-way, for instance). Some of the tasks are fine, but I'd really prefer to have the training based as much as possible on match-play or limited versions of match-play: 5-a-side, or various setups with the same behaviour from other players as we have in matches.
Really, my only other significant gripe is in the auto-passing done by computer-controlled players: it seems to involving passing to the opposition far too often. So many times, even in strong clubs in top-level leagues, I see team-mates passing directly to the other team, even when there's no reasonable pass to a team-mate in that direction. It's understandable that it would happen sometimes, but nowhere near as often as it does. I'd prefer to see passes attempted only when they're plausibly going to get to a team-mate.
Otherwise, I'm delirious with it. The whole concept of an individual career football game is brilliant.
One other thing - the $99,999 limit on initial transfer offers gets a bit silly once you get to a certain point. But I think Si's said he's already on top of that one.
ProfessorFootie
08-25-2006, 01:54 PM
Here's another suggestion, but it would drastically alter gameplay and take away from the "Energy based" gameplay. In effect it would become "Time based" gameplay although energy would still be important.
The idea is basically a diary, we sort of have this at present but only with regard to the fixtures, my idea is to expand it drastically. I envisage something like Outlook with various activities allocated to the days even something as simple as morning, afternoon, evening.
There would need to be more activities, and random events to spice things up, but then they are what I like about the program (and raise it simply above PES where you only have the on-pitch activity). Some of these activities would be duplicated anyway, like going food shopping. If enough events are thrown at the player it would reduce the amount of time they have to spend on training, or seriously impact on their relationships. Basically I can think of the following events, beyond the normal games, training and so on:
Housekeeping - Going food shopping, DIY, house hunting, sorting out bills
Club events - club charity events, new kits, new club sponsors, school talks, youth training/academies, punishment training
Kids - spending time with them, going to school for parent's evening etc.
Travel - away games, especially Champions League and Internationals
International duty - if called up you spend 2 to 3 days before the game at a retreat training
Agent - discuss contracts, possible endorsements
Leisure - actually spend time using the stuff you bought! Especially golf, seems to be footballer's preferred activity
Doing interviews
Sorting out finances/legal - solicitors, accountants, financial advisors etc.
Signing contracts
Shopping
"Rest days" - no serious training the day after a match
Basically all the stuff your player does at present, some "in the background" that take up time and mean he has other commitments. Do you spend another hour at the training ground or visit your girlfriend you haven't seen since Friday because of an away game?
When your player then allocates time and does the activities only then should you see the shopping product list, or car list or whatever. You could restrict the information even more drastically (your girlfriend's "status" would be the "last known good" i.e. she was happy with you before you went away 3 days ago...).
The interaction between time and energy would make the game seem more "real". I know Si has sort of thought of this before as a search revealed "New Star Actor" when he mentions a diary, but I don't know if he has in relation to NSS.
I'll keep the ideas coming next week, and any suggestions, yays, or nays to the above would be gratefully received!

I agree with the points raised about the training, have you noticed on the penalty one (score 5 pens in 30 seconds or something daft like that) that the keeper can calmly waddle off his line and catch a thunderous strike destined for the top corner? Ridiculous. I like the idea of a guaranteed increase at 100% energy cost, as some of the tackling and volleying ones are impossibly hard.
I like the sound of Professor Footie's training drills, they sound more realistic than the existing ones like "tackle 30 inanimate objects" or "score a diving header from the changing room". They are damn unrealistic, players aren't going to stand still and let you half them like a cone, and you aren't going to shoot from your own half in a game, so why do it in training.
Also, I would like to throw in the idea of helping to train teammates, e.g. taking shots at your keeper to improve their shot stopping, playing passing triangles to improve team mates passing, running at defenders to improve their tackling and so on.
* EDIT: Golf mini-game would be fantastic.
As would the ability to eat jaffa cakes for every meal, forget drug tests, wrap your car around a lamp post, do some "roasting", just like all the real premiership players do. :P

I like the training as it is, except for the shooting one, as it os unrealistic to shoot form Saturn at training, but I also believe tackling cones, or shooting penalties is kinda real.

Slide tackling a cone?! Sounds like a sure fire way of getting injured to me. Proper tackling is all about timing, as an inanimate object the possibility of increasing your timing by sliding into a cone is pretty slim.
Clubs will do their upmost to prevent injury to their players, this includes not playing playing football in your spare time, racing cars, and indeed a lot else (which kinda scuppers race days mentioned elsewhere and beach football, and is why golf is universally approved of). It is written into every player's contract, even trainees (which is where I heard about it, not me though). This is doubly a reason not to go slding into static objects!

The suggestions that i have are this:
- The chance to be team captain if you are in the club for too long or if the club recognizes that you are their most influent player
- Fixed shirt numbers defined at the start of the season. You should get to choose your number depending on your influence on the team.
- All european and international competitions, as the European UEFA and Super Cups, Intercontinental Cup and the Confederations Cup.
More to come soon ...
Okay.. another thread closed :P
What I will do tomorrow is to split this in two. One thread will be a single post with all the ideas in, including any new ones mentioned recently.
The other will be the place to add your new ones :)

Hello everybody,
I’m new to the forum and the NSS games. I discovered NSS3 very recently, just a couple of month ago and I was delighted to know that NSS4 is on its way out next year.
I’ll leave here some suggestions although I don’t know if some of them are already here or not (just don’t have the time to read al the posts already here):
- More detailed structure of each countries football championships. I think all divisions till the 4th level should be included. I know this is something HUGE in terms of database info gathering and management, but it would really add some depth to the game
- More complex personal relationships and personal life.
- Although this is not a soccer management game, why not include the clubs management as a possibility (ever heard of Player-Manager?)
- Following that last suggestion, the possibility, after the player’s career is over, the possibility to continue playing just as manager
- Relationship with the media including personal interviews, press conferences before and after matches
That’s it for now. Also I would like to offer my help building the game. I’ll be available for Beta Testing, Data Base information gathering and so on…

Hi John Jensen,
I have a big list of detailed suggestions I think it would be useful. I'm awaiting for you to open any thread for this :)
But right now, I can add something to this database list.
TEAMS
- Info like foundation date, address, website, etc
- Stadium Picture
PLAYERS
- New Stats: Stress bar (Very important element. Lots of players can't handle well and play with pressure.)
- A/D Midfielders and Wings
ATTRIBUTES
Team play (intermeshing?)
Marking
High jumping (GK to get the ball, defender to clean the ball and striker to score)
Low kick defense (for goal keeper)
High kick defense (for goal keeper)

Sorry for opening another thread with this simple, and maybe considered by some of you as fool, suggestion for NSS4. What I suggest is to change the name of the game, instead of NSS4, it rather be New Star Football 4. Soccer is a word created by USA to differenciate their game from ours. I think it´s a little detail but a great difference from it. Why, if we call our game football, we have to name it as USA people? :D
I´ll wait for responses to the thread about what each of you think!
People from USA: Don´t take it as a personal issue against any of you, it´s just what I think and suggest now.

I think the Fifa game series, which was called Fifa Soccer, one year was changed to Fifa Football, since EA realized that, when it sold most, the sport is called football. But to minimize and controversy, the game is now called just Fifa. And I think that's enough, the NBA wasn't named NBA basketball, and it would be redundant :)

Well, here goes all my sugestions. The database ones were posted before, now it goes for everything I think could be better for every player:
- It would be great if you could interact with other players in the training and if would be a team play attribute. You can play well with John but not with Paul.
- The goalkeeper pratically doesn't jump high at the ball. Also, the goalkeeper should have attributes like low kick defense, high kick defense and getting out of goal (?). Some goalkeepers are good only at one or two of these.
- In the game, there are almost no difference between players in different positions. There should be more specific attributes like marking (defender and defending midfielder), high jump (defenders, strikers and goalkeepers), etc.
- It seems almost only my energy gets low and I need to be replaced, what about other players? Almost every real game uses all 6 substitions.
- Fouls doesn't only happen by sliding. There should be any other way to foul an opponent (agression, grabbing, etc).
- The yellow cards doesn't get accumulated and there's no suspensions for taking 3 yellow cards.
- Player should have an avatar profile, with full name, picture, weight and choose his appearance during game (face, hairstyle, etc)
- The players size should be a little bigger or the field a little smaller, to be proportional
- The rating system isn't realist. A shot at the bar, good passing, good shots and more participation should get a better rating, and many fouls, getting cards and waste a great goal opportunity should get a worse rating.
- It seems almost every non-european team, with some exception, are too much weak than english and other europeans. In real world, that difference is not like that. Sul american national teams are also in a very low level than much weak europeans national teams.
- It should have more no-random events. Like, if you hurt an adversary at the game, in the end the reporters will ask you about what do you think about what you did.
- Making aggressive fouls and injuring players should get you to be punished with fees and suspension.
- It would have nice to have awards of best team and player for each country and continent confederation, and show all other competitors.
- Try to show world reality. Most clubs in South America aren't that rich, but countries like Brazil and Argentina produces many of the world best players, which start to shine first there and then go to Europe. Africa and Asia countries also export their players, and countries with less expression and more money (like USA, Japan, South Korea, Russia, Turkey, etc) buy lots of good players from the entire world.
- It should have some kind of history log during the season. Like, if you do some crazy stuff like request a transfer during championship, even if you're Pelé, the supporters will not totally love you anymore, and if you get addicted on drugs, media will always refer to you as a junkie, no matter if you're recovered.
- Your team mate should be angry at you if he's in good position to score and you don't give him the ball. Also, there should be something like the team stats bar, but individual, for each player.
- At end of international games, if you're Man of the Game, if you choose to praise boss, team or supporters, it will be club related, not national team. There should be this options for the selection.
- It should have some kind of position dispute, including interviews and questions from the media and press about this, if you deserve more to be titular than Paul, etc.
- Every woman that appears in the game seems to have only material concerns. Why should always woman look for this?? It should have the woman social status and profission too (like celebrity model, actress or "unknown" waitress, etc)
- The extra elements like spending, gambling or visit family only alters the stats, but doesn't amuse the player. There should be more events and more interactivity. Like, for example, calling an specific friend to hang out, hanging out with one specific team mate (this would affect both players condition in the team), etc.
- Stress bar!! Very important element. Lots of players can't handle well and play with pressure.
- It would be cool to have some newspaper mode like in Sim City, where you can read, at anytime, news about how are the championships worldwide and what are talking about you (or not).
- It should have some event like new player presentation when you arrive in your new club, where people ask you and you have to choose the best answer. This can affect what the supporters, team, coach and media thinks about you even before you start playing. It's very common to journalists ask the player which came from other country of other region specific questions about if he knows who's the bigger rival. If he answer wrongly, supporters won't admire him.
- There should be the possibility to ask to be replaced during game, and the possibility of like or not to be replaced.
- Please, let's have music during game and better sound effects! The game takes a lot of time, so it should have musing during intro, management and during games. Also, the sound effects are too repetitive and low quality.
- The home supporters should scream like "ooohhh!" when the ball comes close or hit the post, and celebrate more when a penalty is marked for home team, when home team deffend a penalty and be quiet when it takes a goal.
- Possibility of real dribbling.
- It should be stats of the player's alimentation and the player should control what it eats. Bad alimentation makes the player get fat, bad health, etc.
- Possibility of goal keeper shoting free kick and penalty kicks, even play more at the line (ex: Rogério Ceni, Chilavert, Jorge Campos)
- It's very easy to be 100% at all attributes. It should have more difficult and the training should be more reasonable, many of the training doesn't make sense. Also, there should be some limitations for each people according to profile, position and attributes. A fast, small and weak player cannot be 100% at strenght.
- The supporters should demand and hostilize you if you're not playing well when they most need you.
- You should have the possibility to ask to or to refuse to take a penalty kick or free kick. Of course, if it's an important game, you refuse to COBRAR a penalty and your team lose it, supporters will want your head.
- During rain, it seems the ball are rolling more. But it should roll less.
- It seems, at rain, player just get stupid. They don't run to the ball!
- Player should have a sprint control. When you just walk, you almost don't lose energy. There are players with so little energy but that runs a lot when the ball are at their feets, like Romario.
- When a player gets a strong shot at his head, he should get injured.
- There should be a possibility to be a goalkeeper, also. If you are the goalkeeper, you have specific commands and you can control the barrier in a free kick.
- The barrier should jump at a free kick shot.
- A real problem which often happens with some players is when they don't adapt to some countries. Like when they leave a tropical country for a snowy one, with different cultures and little soccer tradition (like from Brazil to Ukraine).
- Throw ins, free kicks, corner kicks, goal kick and yellow cards happens so much less than in a real game. Also, it's almost impossible to get a straight red card. Sometimes I know I'll get replaced but I just don't because the entire game passes and the ball doesn't stop.
- Almost every shot goes to the goal. Isn't always that easy to aim for the goal. Many times a good kick can go out more often.
- I think it would be nice to see some events in the interval. Something like, in a important game and the team is losing, to experience some of that bad moments when the team are in the locker rooms and how one can really unite (or not) everybody into one team to achieve it's goal.
Fabricio, many good ideas but again many have already been mentioned. I've merged this with the existing thread, please be patient while we sort this out to make it easier to see which ideas have been suggested already ;)

Could I politely make a suggestion, although this may already be in your plans.
Given the number of ideas already mentioned, and those still awaiting posting, I would suggest this is the perfect point to separate the suggestions into on-pitch action and off-pitch activity, just as you have done with the database thread. This would definitely help with the overall "clutter" that the previous threads have had to deal with.
Hope this isn't stepping on your toes, just a thought.

I'm in my second season as a striker for Dag and Red in conference. After a poor first season, I'm doing well in the second season, and suddenly I'm getting Premier league offers up around 30,000 per week. Heady stuff, but I know I'd get killed at that level, so I ask to renogiate my salary at D&R. They agree and offer to pay me 29,500 per week.
I accept, but this seems totally unrealistic - no Conference team coudl pay this much. Does the game not take the league into account when making salary offers?
My first suggestion: There could be a bank account of the player's team. Other players would have an average wage, not something like 1450.99£, just like 1500, and of course homematches will increase the amount of the bank account because of the ticket income. When you get a sponsor offer, and plenty of money, you will put some money for the team, which could increase your wage because there's more money. Some minigames could be a good thing, like playing tennis with your teammate would increase your fitness and concentrating, WHICH could be a new bar :D.

Make players from "weaker" national teams stronger, because it is getting too easy playing against players who only have 1 in shooting, passing etc. when playing internationally

How about allowing us to view and save replays of more than just goals? I see a lot of great saves by the keepers.
You can view and save a reply any time you want.

You just press F1 during the game, and you get a replay of the last seconds you've played :) that can be recorded too. In NSS3

Ok great thanks! He's another one. How bout some tweaking to the rating system? Too often I make a good pass to a teammate and because he doesn't score immediately (ie runs a couple of feet with the ball first) I don't get a goal assist and therefore my ratings don't go up as much as it should.
Fabrizio Gatti
09-15-2006, 05:37 PM
If you are the last one to touch the ball before the mate that scores the goal, then you get the assist :) So unless somebody touches the pass, or block tackles him (failing) before he shoots, you should get some rating.
Also if you shoot and a partner scores from the rebound, you get points as if you made an assist

maybe it'll be good if we could comunicate and call our team mates from previous team to come into our new one, better ball behaviour, more things to buy!!!

I think that having an influence on your team choice on future transfers is good, and also having an influence on the decision of a former mate :)
Could you be more specific with "better ball behaviour"?? The more you explain, the more you can help and the more you will see at NSS4 :)
