That's the point, it's a career simulator.. ;)

In the game's match view turn the slider all the way to the right. You will have to be very quick responding to situations but that will come with practice. Each match should take half a minute max this way. That makes an entire season doable in less than half an hour if you don't use the save & reload method but just take what comes. At that rate you can finish an entire career in less than a single day's waking period. A word of warning though... don't do too many careers like that or you'll quickly reach burn out rate that way. That's first hand advice by the way.
