Look, i played in macabi tel aviv, and they have eyal berkovic. when he signed the club, he told to the press that it would be his last session and then he will be retired, and after 3 session, he's still playing! he's like 40 or something...

good point. thought about that, but since no one brought it up, i thought it was ok.
there should be also new players, to replace old ones. (youth squad and a name database)
well, since i am already writing a post, i'll bring up another issue: why can't you call for the ball on corners?

good point, bit about the subject: in football manager, every time a player retires, the game create another player to replace him...

That's how it works here, too: if a player on your team retires, he'll be replaced by a new player at the same position (with a random name) who is 17 years old.
Players may retire at a later age than others, and I don't think we can cater for what one player says will be his last season right now...
But yes, as Deanis points out, players do retire and are replaced by randomly named ones.
Youth sqauds would be nice, but that would probably mean setting up youth leagues, linking to their full teams, and if you're going to include youths, you need a reserve team as well. So for that to work you'd need a lot of work done on the stats to make sure these were reflected realistically.
I'm not saying it can't be done, and that I don't think it's worthwhile, but we can throw around as many ideas as we want, but it's down to Si to implement or not.

in any case, si should seriously consider implementing that in NSS4.

about the resevres league, not all the resvers teams playes in a diffrent league. take real madrid B for an ex
Yeah, I know... and that again highlights the large amount of work that would be needed to reflect every countries league structures.
