Hi, I just downloaded the game (version 3.04) and can't start a new game due to the error 'Could not prepare leagues dat' .

Is there a way to fix it?

Which option did you choose, full or limited database?

yeah, right you are. With both a populated (Austria) and unpopulated (Albania) league file. Can't see anything amiss in the dat file either :confused:

Is anyone else getting this problem? I just installed on a fresh system and it worked fine for me. When does the error occur? What league are you playing?

I tried all the leagues, all clubs...always same error.

It happens when I press 'ok' after choosing name, club, country, etc

I also downloaded it on my brother's pc and got the same prob

As above Si, tried starting a game in Albania and Austria, both times it came up with the same errors message. Just tried again in England (York) with full db, and same again. It says 'Could not prepare leagues dat' and then informs you that you aren't good enough for the club.

DANG IT! The install file doesn't create an empty Match folder.

Simply go to C:\Program Files\New Star Soccer 3\Game\Data and create a new folder called Match.

Will sort the download now...
