Believe it or not, NewStarSoccer.com gets more visitors from Brazil than any other country in the world. (You guys love your football, eh?)

What do you think of the price of NSS5? Is $20 USD a lot of money? Too much for most people? Let me know your thoughts. :)

Hi,

$20 can be a bit expensive for us.
You see, you could follow the example of blizzard launching World of Warcraft in Brazil at a price of R$ 15.00 (Brazilian reals) and that in other countries is $ 15.00 (U.S. dollars).
If the New Star Soccer 5 costs $ 20.00 (Brazilian reals) would be a very affordable price for us.

FIFA 12 pre-order for PC costs R$60(http://pc.pontofrio.com.br/Game-Fifa-12-PC-417103.html?cm_re=pagea-_-main-_-vitrine6). For consoles is about R$180.

One method of payment by PagSeguro(https://pagseguro.uol.com.br/en/what-is-pagseguro.html) would be interesting for people who don't have international credit card.

Thanks for the info guys.

I made enquiries to PagSeguro some time ago but it required a Brazilian bank account for me to receive payments. I have sent them an email to see if this is still the case. :)

I bought NSS5 in the beta version when it cost $15, for me this it's the ideal price, but now it costs $20 dolars I think there will less people to buying it

I think $20 is fine. A Brazilian who can afford an international credit card will likely be able to afford that, especially now that exchange rates are favourable.

Maybe you can forgive me for not being brazilian but I've got to say, the price is real high. Why? Because for that amount you can go to Steam and buy an older (in some cases even 2) AAA title including games like GTA IV, Fallout New Vegas, Civ IV, Assassins Creed 2 and even Football Manager 2011. Sure, that game is about managing teams and budgets and at points it's more like an Excel spreadsheet than a game but still, people who are really into football will probably go for something like that instead. It's just too much, especially for an indie title.

I believe it is a high value for the Brazilians.

If you decrease the value a lot more people will buy, here are a lot of pirates: P

In the new system NSS5 this should not happen much, but decrease the price is an incentive to purchase the game. An example is the Brasfoot (www.brasfoot.com) is a game made by a Brazilian and costs R$ 12.9 ($ 8.00 approximately).

Well, just my opinion of course ... but to reduce by half the amount you will have much more profit in Brazil, I am saying this with no interest, because I bought the NSS5 and had already bought the NSS3 too.

Hey, will brazillians living in other countries benefit from that? Sorry, just kidding, but i'd happily pay 20USD for it when i still lived there....

The question is whether there will be a Portuguese version of the game, this was more important for sales here than lowering the price of the game.

I also think if the game was a version in Portuguese would be much better! than reduce the price.

Absolutely. The Portuguese version is extremely important for sales here ... and advertise!

There was a pre-order period of about 2 months to save $5. Everyone on the mailing list should have known about that.

I will be starting the translation project later today. :)
