I thought we needed a nice thread to discuss how we are doin in-game.

After I played my last fellow until I was 20 years old I decided to restart so I could take my team to Champions League (I then restarted once more because I forgot to change so Sweden had one place in the league). The first thing i did with my new player was to train stamina to th highest level, then pace and then I made my nice debut. Scored a goal in it. Then i decided to train some more, dribbling, shooting ,flair, control and both feets was scheduled. I played a couple of matches in the first season but I wasn't the big star so it didn't go so well. In the second season I decided to play every match, but after 30 minutes in the first match I got injured for three weeks and when I made my comback I got a nice red card. So I missed most of the beginning. Ruining the whole season.
Now in the third I really want to take my team to the Champions League but I also want to get transferred to a bigger club (Manchester United)...

I started with Accrington Stanley as a striker - didn't do that well in the first season, although I did score about 10 goals in total by the end, but I've started off really well in my second season - I scored 4 goals in my last game. My team's currently top of the Conference as well :D

I started as CM in JFC Skonto in Latvian Pirma Liga.
I had skored 29 goals and had 9 assists in 13 games 1. season.
My worth after 1. seseon was 3,330,000.
In second season I scored 49 Goals 17 assists in 25 games. In January I transfered to Barcelona. I had 3 national matches where I had 10 goals + 1 assist. In debute mach against Albania I scored 7 goals + 1 assist 8), after 2nd sesnon my worth was about 9,000,000
But then my game crashed  , when loading fixtures to next season.

Hey, just wanted to see how everyone else was doing in NSS3. At first it was pretty tough, but after a few "test" games in the conference, I think I finally feel pretty comfortable.

Started a game that should last awhile last night with York City. I got my debut after weeks of training around week 17 and scored a goal from 25 yards out as a midfielder.

TO ME!
10-30-2005, 02:04 PM
Only got halfway through my first season as a striker for Carmarthen Town so far. Found it a bit frustrating playing as an out and out striker as the team wasn't creating many chances, so have become more of a withdrawn forward, looking for the ball early from midfield and making things happen myself.

Stats are going up, reckon I'll be ready for La Liga in a couple of years 8)

Just into my third season with Southport as a striker. Hardly played in my first season, spent the time training up, had a great second season, loads of goals which helped get us promoted from the Conference to League 2. It's a bit more of a struggle this season as the teams around us are a higher standard and we're enjoying less possession, so like TO ME I'm having to come deeper to get the ball - which has meant I've had to brush up my passing a bit too.

I've put in a transfer request, and I'm waiting to see what will happen - I'm worth Ģ6.7M at the moment (not entirely realistic perhaps for a 20-year old in a team that's just been promoted to the league, nor is my weekly wage of Ģ23,000 - I'm just enjoying spending all that virtual money though!)

Somewhat shockingly I've only made 14 appearances for York so far, owing in part to a stint in rehab after a few heavy nights on the booze! Still managed 17 goals in that time, including 3 hat-tricks. Possibly about to renegotiate my measly current Ģ10,242 p/w contract, as I'm not yet able to afford my Yamaha Supersport YZF-R6.

Chester Guy
10-30-2005, 05:12 PM
Just started my second season as a midfielder with Chester, after helping them to promotion with 22 goals. Missed the first few games after a night out early on where i got very drunk, and decided to use the time while i was recovering to train...

It went down to the last game of the season to achive promotion, as Chester were 4'th, a point behind Stockport and Rushden, torquay were run-away champions. Looked like it was heading for a 0-0 before the Justin Walker headed home for Chester five minutes from time, meaning chester finished second due to the other two drawing their games :)

AHHH!
When I became to think the game got more and more boring when playing as amateur I decided to change to pro to get it a little harder. Now the game is impossible to achive something. The stamina drops faster then free booze at a party. My guy became much slower so now when I run with the ball almost everyone else is faster then me, the other players at my team suddinly cant almost do ONE good pass, this makes it so I dont get high rates in a match, the highest I got is a "8".

I play in Allsvenska in Sweden. I got everythinh except the skills at 30. Shooting, dribbling at 29. With the dribbling skill that high I shouldn't loose so much speed. But, I guess I have to learn to pass the ball:(

This is a really interesting thread.

I do a mixture of training and playing. I find it makes the game more enjoyable.

As a striker I have got my Pace to max, my shooting is at about 25, and I am working on dribbling.

Getting my pace to max caused my stamina ans strength to suffer, but now I am also building them up

Nasty!

I've finally managed to get a proper game started. I'm a Nepalese striker playing for Queen's University Belfast in the newly completed (and soon to be available) Northern Irish Second Division. I've played only one game for QUB, scoring the first in a 2-0 win. But I've played all three games for Nepal so far. Two 0-0 draws against Saudi Arabia and Vietnam sandwiched a 4-0 crushing of Palestine, with yours truly scoring all four - including my first ever free kick. Two points behind Saudi Arabia with three games to go... could be going to the next stage.

And I beat that sodding volleying training! In the face!

We're sitting in mid table, so with a little luck I can burst into the squad in the latter quarter of the season and take us to the first division.

Oh, do I not like that! The home game against Palestine ended 4-0 as well. I had two goals, with the other striker getting one. With the last kick of the match I shot from fully 30 yards, and curled it just inside the post. 8 goals now for Nepal in six games.

I started with York City in conference. Scored about 37 goals in the first season and began second season with them (they had graduated to english league 2) scoring about 30 goals before I got transfered to Chelsea!! Have 3 sponsorship contracts and now about 95 goals from 90 odd games.

My problem however is with training.. am not able to cross the 3 volley training for shooting (level 22).

Since I posted this I transferred to Cagliari and got relegated with them at the end of my first season there! I transferred out the following January to Spurs - we won the Premiership and the Cup in my first season there, although I didn't contribute that much to it.

I'm now into the October of my second season at Spurs and I've managed to become top scorer so things are looking up. I've got my shooting to 30 and my dribbling to 27, although I can't seem to get it past there - I keep knocking the cones over! But my heading is stuck on 14 - I can't knock a cone over with a header to save my life, can't even get near it - I have no idea how to do it! I can't get past 17 on the passing either - the one where you have to knock over 3 cones and hit a bounce target and a placement target in 30 seconds - I'm rubbish at it and I think I'm going to have to wait for my pre-season boost next year to pass it. And we won't talk about my tackling - I'm a striker - everybody know strikers can't tackle! ;)

Like Gungnir's team, some of my team-mates are a bit dozy - Jermaine Defoe keeps nicking my chances off me - but he does tend to bury them when he does so I won't moan too much!

Still, onwards and upwards! :)

I'm still at Man Utd. It's going a little better now, after a lousy start at the last season we managed to climb and in the end we missed the Champions League with only two points. And that was because an evil conspire against me. The other teams knew I was dangerous since I had scored most goals when two games remained. Then they decided to kick at my knee instead of the ball and I was out for eight weeks, loosing five points in control
The season right now has started quite nice, four wins in five games and I scored six goals out of the seven my team has done :)

Thoroughlly enjoying this.

I started at QUB in Northern Ireland, as a Faroese striker. Didn't play much in the first two seasons while I built up ability, though I did show up towards the end of each season. Got promoted in third place in the first season then narrowly missed out in season two. Deciding I had had enough of the club, I left for the Faroe Islands themselves.... where I'm a sensation scoring 82 goals in my first 12 matches. On Pro.

Conversely, internationally we're poor and regularly lose. The Faroes are a poor side with no real speed, so we get destroyed on the break. Might take a drop down into midfield to see how that goes.

Still, I do have a lot of stuff, including three beer fridges. Now if only the game had a nice Sims/Animal Crossing style house decoration element...

Well guys after buying the game ive played through the first season and now im well into the second season. Ive decided to write a story of my trip through the game and the clubs Ive played for. Well it all started out with good old Hereford in the Conference with a hefty 400 a week wage. After getting of to a slow start the goals started to come. All in all I netted a cracking 23 times in only 16 games.

Which saw me move to Championship side Burnley who were facing relegation, they payed me 4000 a week, considerably better than Hereford. My move only helped them slightly. I was very unhappy there and only managed 11 goals in 16 matches. But still okay. However the summer came and I felt like I needed to move abroad so I requested to be transfer listed and was.

Many offers came in for me but soon enough I completed a move to DSC Arminia Bielefeld, a German League 2 Side, earning 12095 a week!!. I destroyed oppsition in every match averaging 3.21 goals a match. I took them to the top of the table but I still didn't feel right. After some thought I decided best to move on in the January window. My value at this time was a small 3 million. Many clubs showed interest in me however. After all I banged 45 goals in 14 appearences for the German Side. Offers from Middlesborough, Manchested United, Newcastle and even AC Milan came in, but I turned them all down. For one thing I didn't feel like playing in England.

The offer from Barcalona was to hard to refuse. Playing alongside Ronaldinho *drool*, but anyway as soon as I moved the first match came quick. It was against Real Murcia. After a slow start Lionel Messi put us infront with a placed finish. Half Time came and I still hadn't scored, but 5 minutes after the break a wonderful ball from Von Bommel put me right through on goal and I chipped the finish into the net. I had scored on my debut!! but there is more! After a defensive clearance from Puyol dropped to my feet I ran forward, past a defender, and struck the ball from 25 yards, from the right hand channel. It flew into the top corner, an incredible goal!(I wish I saved the replay). Ronaldinho was next to score rifeling a free kick past the keeper. Then Von Bommel added to make it 5-0. With the match drawing to a close I speculatively hit a 35 yarder, it went in but it was a pure luck goal. The final whistle blew and I was excited. A hattrick on my Debut!! Then the next thing I know im playing for England.

For which I also hammer a hattrick in for, against a weak Bulgaria side. Things just looked brighted for me!! Well guys thanks for reading, I think I have some of my early Hereford goals somewhere if anyone wants to see them. And you can see my Career statistics below. But thx for reading this! and good luck to everyone in there games! Please tell me what you think!

Nice going, ukkid.

My time in the Faroe Islands has come to an end. I had planned to win the double, but injury kept me out of the first round of the cup where HB fell to FS Vagur, ruining the dream. I focussed my assault on the league.

By the end of the season, I had played in 32 games for HB Torshavn. 31 starts and 1 substitute appearance (with two minutes remaining). I scored 195 goals in my time at the club, cruelly denied breaking the 200 mark by getting injured with one game to go. And I racked up an impressive 31 Man of the Match awards - one for every start. And a hat trick at least per game - with the exception being the sub appearance where I failed to score. After the celebrations had died down, I made my way to Scotland, to join Celtic. The title is virtually assured now and I've passed the 300 career goals mark.

Things with the Faroes are not so rosy. After a battling 1-0 loss against Portugal I felt we might have a chance, but that was soon battered into submission by a 4-1 defeat to Serbia & Montengro and a 9-0 humiliation at the hands of Finland. In truth, my decision to play as defender in those two matches cost us - my forays into the opposition half resulting in huge gaps in our back line, cruelly exposed by the Finns. I'll be a defensive minded striker in my next match, just as I was against Portugal.

Rushden has risen two divisions in two seasons under my wing. In the League One/Division Two, we went 45-1-0 and upset Chelsea in the FA Cup Final, so we didn't lose a game the entire season. The Semifinal match against Manchester United was a 4-3 cracker that we won of course, we got up 3-0 thanks to a hat trick by me, Man United came back early in the second half to make it 3-2. On the ensuing kickoff I dribble down and score to make it 4-2 to ease the pressure. United grabbed their 3rd goal in the 89th minute but I hoofed the kickoff downfield to ensure the Rushden victory. (The only draw came to Stockport on the second game of the season.)

I increased the difficulty for our Championship/First Division run but we're still in 6th place after 6 games having lost to West Ham and Villa and despite having a large number of players left over from our Division Three/League Two days. A run at the Premiership will ensue, then it's champions league football.

I'm two man of the matches away from fifty, and I've only played in 87 games so far, amassing 193 goals in that time frame. Another century draws near.

A quick check of my stats before I get down to some work for the night. All on Pro skill level.

QUB (Northern Ireland), 26 appearances, 67 goals, 7 assists, 12 MoM awards.
HB Torshavn (Faroe Islands), 31 appearances, 195 goals, 43 assists, 30 MoM awards
Celtic (Scotland), 33 appearances, 68 goals, 13 assists, 14 MoM awards.

Career: 90 appearances, 330 goals, 63 assists, 56 MoM awards. 48 hat tricks. No CL appearances as yet.

Faroe Islands: 16 appearances, 15 goals, 0 assists, 0 MoM awards, 2 hat tricks. No major tournament appearances. Boo!

All in all, not a bad career so far!

im at Real Madrid, when i joined them they were a great side and we won the Primera Liga, Champs League and the Cup in the first season, but i joined in January.
It all went down hill after that, im still doing pretty well, scored two goals in the Cup Semi but we lost 4-2, and Spurs knocked us out of the Champs League Quarters pretty easily. Trying to get a transfer to England now, would love a gig at Man Utd.

I started off at Adelaide Utd, my home team, and scored a lot of goals there and also won a few cups and leagues. at the end of my first season was the World Cup in Germany, and i was picked in the Australian squad for the first time, and given my first cap against NZ in the group stages (do Oceania get TWO places?? also why were New Zealand drawn in the same group as the Aussies?) i scored a goal and we crushed them, managed to get to the second round but lost to France 1-0 which wasnt bad, i missed some chances because my player wasnt very good back then.

Since then ive been a regular in the green and gold, scored 9 goals in one game against the Cook Islands or something, got subbed near the end which denied me a 10 goal bag.

Something for the next version. Once you pass 30/31, a gradual depreciation of technical ability, quicker drops in fitness but no change in tactical ones. And rather than have the game force you to retire, you can continue playing for as long as you like but injuries become more likely, and eventually your performances just won't be enough to justify the club keeping you on after your contract expires.

Fun!

I just finished my career at Real Madrid, team was going downhill and didnt win much at the end, got signed by Man Utd though.

2010 World Cup i almost carried Australia to the title. First game vs Cameroon we went 1-0 down early, i scored 2 and set up 2. Smashed Japan 7-0 where i scored 5 and drew our last game. Managed to beat Brazil 4-3, i scored a hat trick and set up the other, best game ive ever played in. Led 1-0, then 1-1, then 3-1, 3-2, 4-2, 4-3. Eventually lost 1-0 to Netherlands in the semis, i played poorly but they were very good.

Interesting thread.

Well, I'm playing on Amatuer level in the MLS (USA) league right now... I started out very slowly, finding it hard to score at first, but as my skills improved, I've been able to average at least 2-3 points a game. The most I have ever scored in a game is 4, and I've been Man of the Match 4 times. I think I have about 30 or so goals in about 17 games, but I'm still behind 2 other players for the league lead... My teammates! :D

I'm playing with my playstation 2 controller, and have recently learned how to dribble all the defenders including the goalkeeper, and run the ball into the net. Pretty funny sight, I should post a couple of those replays on the board. =)

I'm getting offers from other MLS teams almost every day, for about 15,000/week. I have yet to take an offer since I want to win the title and MLS Open Cup with D.C. United, then I'll go from there.

UPDATE!

Since the last time I posted, I finally made the U.S. National side. I've made 3 caps so far, and picked up 12 goals. I've also been named Man of the Match 3 times. =)

Once January hit during my second year, I received an offer for $35,000/week playing for Arsenal in the Engish Premier league... Moving from the United States to Europe, the first thing I noticed is that the competition is MUCH more fierce (as expected!), and it really took a change in strategy to keep my goal scoring streak going... I think I've played in around 10 matches, and scored 15 goals. Still, it's much more difficult! And to think I'm only playing on the Amateur skill level!

We can all do our bit. I have started a few threads in the online manager game www.hattrick.org (if you haveīnt tried it lads, please do, itīs great fun) and it has caught quite a stir since many have resembled the game to Sensible Soccer :)

And to think I'm only playing on the Amateur skill level!

my most goals i n1 match is 6 and my last sesion i have 89 goals socre at the and of the sesion 20 hattricks my team had +120 and i think i going to play pro because amateur is to simple

I dont know on what difficulty level all u guys play but my first ever season in nss3 i played on amatuer and got with an average of 3 goals per game. I played from the first minute, no extra training, no missed matches. I won the league with my div 2 team (brommapojkarna, swedish) moved on to charlton, played there 4 games, 3 hattricks, 2 motm awards. After that i got an offer to AC Milan so now i play there. I now play on pro, might go up to expert couse i score about the same as in amature, about 2 goals per game. I just crushed fernebace 7 to nothing with 5 goals from myself. In the game Im 20 years old and i am worth 24,750,000 (the value hasn't moved in a while :/...)

My point to all this is, how come some guys struggle with scoring and have to skip matches to train?

ps. i play with my keyboard, and Sweden is gonna kick Germany's as tomorrow! Oh, i just noticed that this thread is quite old, ill post anyways...

It all depends what club you start and what level of difficulty you start on. Starting at AC Milan on Pro is gonna be very different to starting at York City on Amateur.

btw, I think you're using an old version, the value should be able to go above £24.75m :) Upgrade to the version HERE (http://www.newstargames.com/newstarforum/showthread.php?t=2938) and that should change.

I have started to play on Pro Level now and I am worth 42,250,000. Not Bad lol. I started my career at Cowdenbeath, got them to the first division then move to Dunfermline Athletic (fav team) I won the Champions League and ever trophie I could win with them before moving to Barcelona where I am currently at the now and I have won the Champions League with them and everything possible lol. So not too bad. I also score an average of 3.57 a game. I have finally won the World Cup and European CUp with Scotland :D Not hard :P

i've started as brazilian in Scarborough (eng) on expert level. i always only train for first 1-2 seasons to become nice player. so in my first season and half i played 16 matches (scarborough 3, bristol rovers 5 and grenoble foot 8). after training skills in that time i've moved to portuguese Marco. played well and moved to Borussia Dortmund, where i was not enough good to score and take more ball on me. so i was living from passes and assists. i thought that moving to west brom will be good next step to play on my level. but i was wrong... still not enough good. i again was only training and played in west brom 6 matches, next in celtic 5 and in villareal 7. and than i was able to be shown to world. moved to Barcelona where in 40 matches i scored 89 goals, champions league winner and cup runners up (injured when final). next i wanted to see how looks italian league- transfer to palermo. it wasnt good psychical time for me. i didnt feel good there, because football was there on poor level. i've been transfer listed and clicked wrong button and moved to middlesbrough... didnt play any matches and moved to actual Arsenal.

Just started a new game. so far I am with DC Unt in the MLS. The setting right now is easy, so I am smoking. But I plan to change that very soon to the next level. I have played two WCQ games with Canada. We won them both but in the last game I got a red card. So I missed there last game (they lost).

I hope to win big with DC then move to a lower team in England. I don't know if that will happen as I am worth 44,000,000 right now...
