View Full Version : Keeping your friends and family happy?

Is anyone else finding this particularly difficult (especially family?)?

If I visit them it improves the relationship by 5% but you can only do that every so often. I try buying them things, like a dvd player (for 1,000 wtf :D ) and it makes no difference. Am I just buying the wrong things or what?

doesn't buying gifts help too? I might have to try that. I just thought about it and it seems I always hit the bottle when my confidence is low? and i'm buying BMW's for friends and family members!

The relationship between their happiness and what you buy them seems to be the same as in NSS 2: if you buy them something worth 20,000, they will be 20% happier, 30,000 --> 30% happier. I generally let them be angry with me until I've trained myself to be better than I need to be (because their unhappiness affects your play), play a few games, get my media interest up, get a new contract (and some sponsorships), and then keeping them happy isn't so tough. But it really is at first.

I can unstand it is tough to start especially with the sponsor bug.

Sometimes you don't actually get the money from the sponsor, it seems that this happens when there is a random event the day after you sign with the sponsor, so the payment event doesn't happen.
