Advice for Beginners?

I just downloaded Sensational Soccer and tried to play. But I have a hard time to get into the controls. How do you play SS? Mouse, keyboard, pad? Whats your advice to have the "most sensational" experience?

is there a guide for beginners somewhere?

Need a pad, keyboard response is too slow. I use logitech ones.
