I've played a few games, but apart from the match engine I can't see a great difference from NSS2

can anyone enlighten me?

from the mailer:

What's New?

* Superb match engine - inspired by Sensible Soccer but with the depth of modern day football games.
* Variable weather conditions. Can you handle rain, mud and even snow?
* Optional close-up cameras allow you to scrutinize the action.
* A choice of viewing angles - vertical or horizontal, plus a reverse angle during replays.
* Replays can be saved and even exported as an avi movie!
(Watch out for our Goal of the Month competition!)
* Playable with either Keyboard or Joystick.
* Full player database featuring all the squads from over a dozen leagues worldwide.
* Realistic player stats that truly make each player on the pitch an individual.
* Training challenges that must be completed successfully to build your skills.
* More incidents and dilemmas for you to ponder over than ever before.
* All this and much, much more!

I know there is also more stuff to buy through all the items.

And the relationships are different in small ways.

Plus you also have health so now you need to manage your Alcoholism, Drug Addiction and Gambling Addiction LOL. Oh yea and confidence.

According to the help file, when you own horses they race every couple of months, and you do win money based on whether they finish 1st, 2nd, or 3rd

hehe

i think that the games been made that its quite hard to score on this one i think
no offence si or any one but the shoot button could have been done a little better the shoot goes up to much and there aint enough power

he's got a point. i think that when your shooting has a lot of points in then it should be very easy to score. otherwise no point training it. it's annoying that I have to press pass to score.

Sorry guys, disagree totally... yeah, you may spoon it once in a while, but then real players do too. I also think it's got to do with what direction you hold the movement keys / joypad as you shoot.

These two were scored in my first couple of games, with low stats (shooting 5 or less) so I don't see the problem

Scoring isn't too bad once you figure it out, and training your shooting IS worth it: the higher it is, the more power you can use without firing it way off target (well, you still do sometimes, but that gets much more rare at higher shooting skill)
