In NSS2 you could be club captain, is this possible in NSS3, if so what can you do?

It's not possible. I did want to include it but ran out of time. It will make it in a future update though.
What affect would you like to have if you were the team captain?
Maybe you'd be in the spotlight more, and adverse media etc would have a greater effect, as you'd be expected to set a better example etc... As for on the pitch, maybe your performance / form could be greater linked to the whole teams?
Not sure how easy to implement, but I think something needs to come of being captain.
well you could mmmm shout at other players, give an after match interview, not sure will think about some more :D

yeah shouting to teammates and tell reasons what things were wrong in last match, and what is his opinion to make team chemistry better...seems more like manager, huh?

Just the ability to be like an actual captain. Think of Roy Keane, on the pitch he is practically the manager. so you can have options like 'give a rallying cry' or even where you're playing so well, you pick the morale up of the team around you?
also if you are captain and your confidence is low then the team play worse as lack of moral.

yer, as captain people look to you. you could be like Roy Keane who doesn't stop shouting, Gerrard who drives the team foward with a good performance or Shearer who leads by example. as you can tell, im a Newcastle fan!

yeah I like that. being captain there is afew things mentioned that would be great with this feature.

Just means that you should be able to do more. it's a great achievement to be a captain for a club and it is all dependent and the manager's respect for you

anythin happens in real life, like clauses in contracts. it has happened and it does. One of the reasons Christian Ziege moved from Middlesbrough to Liverpool. That and the £5.5 million clause

lol Believe me no club would put a captaincy clause in a contract it would cause well too much unrest within the other players.
I used to play at a standard and know exactly what kinda offers clubs will make in contracts :)

Proberly be a mention of it but it certainly wouldnt be offered within the contract.

I don't think captians get to choose who starts. Thats the managers job.I didn't mean actually choosing, just an advice to the manager, like: [Player X] pass the ball a little more than [Player Y].

The simplest implementation of captaincy I can think of would be for every player on the team to have a confidence attribute during the game (this may be the case already), which is affected by how well you are playing.
More complex things such as ralling calls may end up overcomplicating the controls.
Outside the match, you could be given more options which boost manager, team and supporter approval.
And of course, if you make captaincy you get a boost from your friends and family. They'll be proud.
Tbh each player should just have a leadership stat and respect stat for players in the team, fans and managers imo.
Respect and good leadership skills are what you need from a captain aswell as communication and rallying players.
