Nsgp 2010

I am slowly working on a 2010 mod for NSGP. It is the first time I have done anything of this scale before and so progress is slow. For those interested this post will form as a regular update point for the mod with new pics and info as I do it.

Database
The database is 95% complete and just waiting on the completition of the real driver market.

Cars
Mercedes and Ferrari have launched their cars so I have done some liveries for them which can be seen below. More will be done as their teams launch them.

Tracks
Because of the increased number of teams the tracks are going to take the longest to update. I havent started this yet but intend to within the next few weeks.

Edit - Track updating has now begun in earnest. I have endeavoured to make pit entrances and exits slightly more realistic...so here are screenshots of new monaco and spa.

How are you thinking of doing the team stats, are you going to wait until after Bahrain to decide or are you using times from Jerez as a rough guide?

i was going to wait until Bahrain if Im honest. That should give somewhat of an indicator...then by the time I come to release the mod proper I can update again.

I was wondering how long a Lotus would take to appear and I also had a feeling that Robby would either be making one or drooling over Franko's :lol:

Looking good though mate, to be honest Lotus has the best livery I've seen so far this year although still two\three to go. Certainly developing to be a very interesting situation with Campos and USF1 not having unveiled a car or confirming a full driver lineup with just 23 days till Bahrain, although as autosport have it Campos are almost set now after management restructuring and Stefan GP still nipping at the heels and rumoured to be about to confirm Jacques Villeneuve :dance:

Just a quick update for all following this mod. I have only two more cars to do (lotus and Virgin) but may indeed use robs Lotus if he doesn't mind. The cars then should be ready for release as a separate pack with the database. Im afraid the tracks will come at a later date as they are taking a lot of time to convert from the normal number of teams to the 11 required...Im not including USF1 because I honestly don't think they will (ever) make the grid.

As of today thats bang on the money, personally think its a shame but it may afford stefan gp a chance for this year.

not unveiled, shakendown or tested at any of the events. It woudn't suprise me if the aformentioned car was even remotely close to being finished. To be fair though I don't think all the blame rests on USF1, I think the entry process is floored when it comes to the entry of a new upstart team.

In my opinion the FIA only allowed USF1 entry and stuck by them is because of the commercial benefits for them if Formula 1 suddenly became huge in America, rather than actually give it to someone who made the neccessary steps and put the effort in..but then the world unfortuantly don't work that way :naughty:

Maybe if stefan aren't granted entry put them in as a bonus, largely because you will likely see a livery that you can work from when they shakedown their car (when someone throws them a set of F1 tyres :lol:) however if you want to do USF1 heres an idea for the livery from another forum and game:

FRANKO! I've got a bit of a prezzie for you! If you send me the mod as it stands now, I'll be happy to put a few finishing touches to it (including the new silverstone, Korea, Bahrain and Canada circuits, as well as complete car art-work).

Just to check though, is your database in 2010 classification order? Ie: McLaren, Mercedes, Red Bull, Ferrari etc.

Yeah it is, although its proved a nightmare. I have got the team art for all but HRT/Campos or whatever you wanna call them. I have also done the first 11 tracks with the exception of Canada. Will upload to megaupload and pm you the link later. Ta very much.

All tracks are already done so i'll just use mine unless I have any issues. Most are tested from the NSGP R mod.

unfortunately, no refuelling seems to have a detrimental effect on the game too...it's just a parade lap from start to finish. So, while I try and mess around with the tyre and fuel mechanic to create two compounds, and beg Si for a 2010 patch that I can manipulate properly, the mod may be anything from a few days to a week late.

Yep, they look real great... although in the long run I find the "anti-aliased" (have no idea what it actually is :)) cars to clash against the surroundings too much if those are not done in the same manner as well. Just smth I noticed with the NSGP mods :)
