From the main screen click Options > Replays.
Then load it as normal.
Whilst it's running press F6.
This will bring up a choice of Codecs. You'll need divx or something similar if you don't want to end up with a 40meg sized file.
For DivX i choose "Unconstrained", "1-pass" and "1000". Under the second tab choose "Insane quality". This produces a 3.5meg file of quite a nice quality.
It will take about 2-4 minutes depending on you pc speed and is saved in the Game\Movies folder along with a bmp of the last frame.
:D

By the way. I will be sorting out a goal of the month competition soon, but please don't send me AVI files. They won't be accepted as I don't want to spend hours downloading movie files. Only zipped .rep files will be accepted, which you will find in your Game\Replays folder. :D

Does the goal has to been scored by me, or can I just have made the assist?

I have a great goal. The goal itself is pretty naff actually but the 1 touch passing is simply magic! plus I was playing in the Bournemouth team and I was against man utd In the FA Cup quarter final. My team was out classed by utd yet my 1-1 (2-1 win on penailties, me missing mine  ) was the greatest so far!

lol the dreaded Esc key i've lost countless wonder goals to this button too!!! one being a great volley from a corner, hit the post and went in! (and that was my first ever goal in the game!)
I have a goal I scored on my Man Utd debut... which I only made to make sure the æ worked! Beautiful lob from the left hand side... will be sure to enter...

I'm not sure why you are losing your replays by pressing escape. You know you can press F1 to start a replay at any time right?

Si,
Thinking about that goal of the month, to reduce workload maybe you should only accept 1 replay per player.

not escape sorry, the shoot button. :(
Still, you only have to press F1 immediately after you accidentally quit the replay and you can see it again.

Will .rep files from older versions work? :o

Don't think so. Maybe 0.97 or 0.96 but it will probably crash.
