I have Windows 7, too and NSS 4 is running fine.
Try to run the game with the XP-Mode, perhaps that works.

Just don't forget that Windows XP Mode is free for Windows 7 Ultimate and Professional whereas you have to pay a fee to use it in Home Premium or any other version :)

Si, ETA on testing NSS4 on Windows 7? My upgrade version gets here next week so I wanna be sure that NSG games run on Windows 7 :)

Sometime this month but not sure exactly. Seems that NSS4/2010 and NSGP work ok but you may have to run compatibility options.

For NSGP, I had to run with XP SP2 compatibility mode (note - this is NOT XP Mode, which uses an XP VM). I don't think running XP Mode would be clever, as one of the stated restrictions is around games and graphically intensive applications.

I'm having issues with NSS 2010 on my Windows 7 machine, too. I only get as far as the window that allows me to choose my screen resolution and whether I want to run the game windowed, then it crashes when I try to actually get into the game. As far as specs (since you asked radk):

Windows 7 Home Premium (64 bit)
Intel Quad Core 2.66 ghz
4 gb ram
nVidia 9800 GTX+

I can't say for sure that it was Windows 7 that did it: this is the first time I've tried to play on a Windows-based system at all, and the first time I've tried to play on this computer.

EDIT: Problem fixed -- I failed to reinstall my graphics card driver when I installed Windows 7. Duh.
