Unrealistic Offside

I don't think it's actually a bug, so i'm not putting it in the bugs forum. I have noticed that offside is called only when the player offside touches the ball. Personally, I'm okay with this, as the match engine built from scratch is quite amazing by itself already.

However one situation arose which I feel should be addressed. Basically the computer sent in a cross to the penalty box, and the striker was way offside. But the keeper rushed out and punched it, so offside was not called. However the ball was punched to the other striker, who placed the ball into the empty net.

I think I also noticed a situation where a member of my team passed it to another striker on my team who was clearly offside.

Are there situations in the coding where the referee might not notice every offense or is it a bug where AI players on your own team can do an offside?

Aren't there new offside rules that say that if a ball comes from playerX, touches the goolie and goes to playerY of the same team as playerX isn't called offside???

Maybe I could suggest an idea. Like , if your player is in a position of offside a referee flag appears on the top right corner of the screen so that you know youre in offside. But this should be only in amateur mode. :o

There are but I think he means that when the guy crossed it Pllayer Y was in an offside position and interfering with play, otherwise the goalie could have left it. As a result of the goalie having to do something to avoid it going to the offside player the goal was scored.

Correct. In fact, the striker was challenging the keeper for the ball.

I'm not aware of the new rules. So if the striker was in an advantageous offside position (can get the rebound early) and the keeper punches the ball to him, he isn't offside? Also happened in my game.

When the ball goes back for a goal kick or something, instead of being remote controlled back there it would be nice if you just wanted to have some fun and go foul the keeper, in an act of momentary madness.
