Off the piste
Just a quick update for you. Lucy and I moved into the new flat on the 10th of Feb, the day before we went skiing in France. (Had a great time - will show you some pics soon.) Got back last weekend and have been spending most of my time unpacking, putting up shelves, and searching the net for an HD TV. (Let me know if you see a bargain.) BT are messing about with my broadband connection though so i'm having to use dial-up at the moment which is very painful. As such, very little progress has occurred on Sensational or NSS lately but that will soon change now that we are settled in the new place.

Sorry for the lack of updates lately, but this week has seen very little progress. I had to fix numerous problems with NSS3 which were caused by the updates to the Sensational Engine, but everything seems to be sorted now. I did manage to talk to a pixel artist about improving the graphics for Sensational Soccer and he should be creating the rest of the animations for this guy soon. That should give the game a much more friendly feel, although it probably means i'll need to increase the goal size, and maybe even the pitch. I may also think about changing the controls slightly too, but i'll work on that at a later date. I'm still working on the league system at the moment - the table seems to be updating nicely after the results come in. The load/save feature is working ok although at the moment you can only have one save - console game style. I will change this at some point so you can have multiple saves and choose which one to load. Right now though i need to deal with promotions and relegations which is always fun. I will be throwing a generic cup tournament in there too, so the season will end with a cup final but play-offs is a no-no. Why? Well, the league data doesn't store the number promotion/play-off places for each league so other than updating the league editor it's not possible. I could update the editor but i'm predicting a big rewrite of the league system for NSS4, so it may have to wait till then.
